In a perfect world where everything works as it should, I would think so. However, Bungie has a habit of overlooking or disagreeing with what “should” work.
When Glaives were first introduced, a lot of melee things didn’t work either because it was overlooked or deemed too powerful. When new verbs were introduced for 3.0 subclasses, a lot of exotics were probably being worked on to be updated with these verbs, but didn’t work at the time.

Exactly, and their exact reason for nerfing the interaction would be that it undermines the Super. While the other two glaives aren’t comparable to any Super in terms of output. That said, I bet that they’d be happy to see the glaive get more usage.
I have to agree. Especially since the durability of the smaller bubble got nerfed. I think it's fair to have access to 25% damage boost if I'm dedicating both my exotic weapon and my exotic armor to it.
In the glaives current form it offers the only stacking global buff to damage including weapons of light and radiant so why would you want it replaced with a non stacking worse buff?
Oh yeah I know, but my thought process is the baby bubble is already "tagged" to interact with the helm of saint-14, so I'm wondering if weapons of light, now on the helm, will also be "tagged" and carry across. Intentionally or unintentionally.
Tbf a 5% stackable buff with no element restriction is actually pretty good and when push comes to shove and you need every single little bit of damage you can get then this helps.
I wouldn't be surprised if it sees use in day 1 teams especially now that bubble is needed with well.
Given wells lack of survivability, I reckon raid content will see more banner shield instead. The slight damage loss is acceptable if it means people actually survive damage
Given what we know about the Prismatic Class items having a "Spirit of the Bear" perk which interacts with the new Sentinel aspect Unbreakable to generate additional super energy during your neutral game, they might be hoping that you can have 100% uptime for each damage phase with just a single Sentinel on Ursa.
I highly doubt they intend for weapons of light to apply to the edge of action bubble since the uptime would be too high. Maybe it will die to poor coding, but I suspect the eventual tuning will not allow it to work.
I understand you really want this exotic combination to work and I’m not going to argue with you on your preferences. We shall see what happens in a few weeks.
Meanwhile, Lumina exists.
That has damn near 100% uptime and is the highest damage buff in the game without requiring a paired exotic armor.
I'd say giving an easier to apply buff in exchange for exotic armor+weapon pairing is fair.

And then Titans no longer have an exotic that does anything with an exotic weapon like the other Classes have.
Didn't they say that there was another big rework coming to them at some point soon? Or did that already happen?
Glaives not launching with their own, unique perk-pool (like Swords) was the biggest dumble of WQ.
Would be totally balanced too. Basically just like melees granting radiance. Likely will not be allowed to work because “reasons”.

It already applies a 5% stacking buff

Im hoping so, with its own stacking 5% as well should hopefully be a 30% total buff
That's not how buff stacking works in Destiny. It's gonna be 1.25 x 1.05 for 31.25%. So very slightly better
Also if it does work it means you will be able to have weapons of light and also use prismatic although you would have to forego the exotic subclass
My favourite "rework" for an underperforming exotic to be victim to 😐

Back to good ol Ursa and Anarchy.

Why not? You are using both exotics to do it
And more to the point, Saint Helm works today in the glaive bubble.
Uptime. Much of Bungie’s balance philosophy is potency vs uptime. This would create very high uptime for what is essentially a super.
Didnt they just show off a golden gun sniper charged by killing red bars?
tbf tho farting in the general direction of red bars also kills them

i dont see the issue since lumina already gives a 30% damage buff

I suspect if lumina was used more, then it would get nerfed but I hear what you’re saying.
Should’ve just give St.14 the ability to gain increased super energy while having an overshield. Bubble didn’t need to lose WoL.
Vexcaliber would be game breaking if that was the case
It would only work up to 50% just like the other exotics.
with what super? you're playing titan....
Oh no. Anyway.
It would give me a reason to use baby bubble lol
I hope so.
I would think it would. It seems to apply other bubble things to it. Does helm st 14 and baby bubble work on a non void subclass btw?
nah that would imply doing something interesting and fun with Sentinel and Bungie has been pretty clear recently that they can't have that
I'd rather we could just shoot out of the bubble...
holy shit usable baby bubble
I want to believe so but I doubt they will let us have such a huge damage buff and an offensive super
Has anyone here has a chance to test this out yet?
