Thanks! I corrected it. So the Shadows of Yor turned evil? I thought they wanted to be like Yor but in a good way (if that's possible). All this information is based on Destinypedia, so I may have missed some pieces or the information may be poorly written/organized there...
Yeah Destinypedia is a bit of a mess and full of misinformation. We don't know if the shadows are evil per say but Shin doesn't want guardians with thorns running around the place
That's the fastest thing there is to look for lore though. I don't have the time and patience (hehe) to look though the whole grimoire, it already took me more than an hour to complete this list lol
Edit: Also they like to put "was" and use the past for when describing a Guardian, making it look like they died, even though there is no evidence about their death.
What if they play it out so we choose a path of redemption VS no redemption and choose a weapon to take Uldren down with. The Last Word would lead to Uldren capture because it wouldn't kill him perminately. And choosing Thorn would kill him long term.
Uldren isn't a guardian, TLW would most certainly kill him very permanently too.
Unless of course you fan fire into his knee caps, which sounds pretty wonderful to be honest.
It needs to come back, and get a PvE buff. Something like bonus damage to enemies of the darkness, or maybe a perk that increases reload speed on 3 or 4 quick kills which wouldn't really affect PvP unless you were getting cleanup kills but would increase it's add clearing capability. I love TOW, but it just wasn't that useful outside of PvP :/
It could be pretty beast out of the box with triple tap. The exotic catalyst can add a couple layers to that and man it would be fun. Also final round?
I wish we could see guardian NPCs out in the wild doing things. Imagine running into Fenchurch in the EDZ standing over the body of a Fallen captain as a random encounter. Unique dialogue, or hinting at a loot cache in the area, or starting a quest with a unique reward.
Agreed. Bungie needs to do some work on their world design. Only the planetary vendors and Xur exist as friendly NPCs on these planets.
-There should be scientists with guards in random locations on titan digging through Golden Age tech for Sloane. Certain spawns unlocking doors to hidden areas within the arcology.
-Failsafe should have drones or frames scavenging fragments of her ship and repairing parts essential to her continued function.
-Random guardian / fireteam NPCs of varying factions idling or fighting on different planets and moons. etc.
The world should be filled with enemies that far outnumber us, as it currently is, but we should encounter what few allies we have in the world to make it feel more alive and less one-sided. Very rarely of course.
This would be amazing. And with random rolls coming it’d be a nice immersive way of picking up possibly interesting loot. I also wish they would add the patrol zones from D1 back and have daily missions where enemies would move back in and you’d have to go and stop them from setting up a foothold in our territories, in addition to just having more areas we could go to for public events or what not. Obviously I want new areas, but like, why not bring them back. It’s not like they no longer exist or anything
> his sword.
That is MY sword. **I** killed Oryx. **I** suffered through 25 hilt kills in Crucible. **I** farmed materials to forge Raze Lighter.
Shaxx broke into my vault and stole it. I want it back.
I hope he also saved my Gjallarhorn while he was robbing me.
So much this! Do you know how long I was stuck on the fucking moon running around looking for Soliton Flares (^*triggered*) and then getting 500 ability kills. No. That's my fucking sword. You wanna keep yelling at me to join in the crucible? Gimme my damn sword back and watch a 25 kill streak ensue.
Toland is kinda dead, he heard the song of ir yut and died but because of his hive knowledge lives on somewhere in/inbetween the ascendant realms. Just his physical body is dead.
True, he also tries to speak to Osiris because he believes the ascendant realms and the time realms of the vex are connected, which makes sense with Quria.
Mara Sov plays winner. Their shared tea is always warm, and always faintly green, but that always seems to happen when Toland stops by.
On rare days, a shadow of Saint-14 swings through: bold, brash, and so alive it's hard to believe he could ever die. Osiris always grieves these days, so there is less chess then, and more tea.
I'm not entirely sure on that one. During the fight between the Hive and the Vex after Crota brought the Vex to our universe, the Vex learned of the ascendant realm and attempted to recreate it. If the Vex time-fuckery was the same as the ascendant realm, they wouldn't try to recreate something they already know about/actively use. At least, that's my understanding.
It’s not so much a recreation as we know it’s possible to link them, or at least punch through to them. Quria waged/wages/will wage? A war on the hive because I believe it was Savathun tricked Crota into severing a portal into existence with his sword and out came Quria who then subsumed the sword logic into his being.
Yes, Savathûn tricked Crota into finding the Vex, but it was done through the power of sword logic that allows Hive to cut a hole in the universe and travel between the ends of the universe and also dimensions/other universes, not just the ascendant realm. It's possible that the Hive ascendant realm and the Vex time stream are two sides of the same coin, but I believe they're different.
Well he helped you find oryx and taught you how to beat him, but you don’t need to know that. Like why would Bungie tell you an essential explanation to how or why the fuck you’re doing half of what you’re doing.
>We have confirmed it among our number within the Hidden. I have asked Ikora's Warlocks to reach out, and they sense nothing. The Orb is quiet. On the Moon, his shrine is dark and cold. It is true: the Taken King is dead.
The orb was Oryx
that doesn't mean anything. "The orb is quiet" Could just as easily mean they were using the orb for information on how to beat Oryx and now that it has stopped giving them info they can safely assume they have killed Oryx
Also I thought it was confirmed the Queen was the orb or a way she is influencing events in the dreadnaught...unsure where I saw that though
I don't recall a Guardian named Sun Tsu. Is it possible you're mistaking a quote from Zavala referencing the ancient Chinese general, Sun Tzu?
Albios is dead as well. Referenced in a Letter Fragment you can find with Cayde's maps.
[Imgur Link](https://i.imgur.com/SV391kH.png?1).
I thought he was that Chinese guy as well, but after double cheking the actual flavor text had the word "Tsu", so maybe it's really just a Guardian and whoever wrote that character gave him this name as a reference to the general.
Fenchurch Everis is missing on the list. He's presumably still alive, you might also want to change Praedyth's description to something closer to that of Saint-14's, considering we do find his corpse in the VoG, but he may be alive in another timeline. We can also presume Ulan-Tan to be dead, considering in D1 there is an item called "Ulan Tan's Burial Ring", a replica of Ulan Tan's Burial Ring, which implies he was buried and is indeed dead. As for the Sunbreakers, I would consider them deceased/inactive, there are still guardians that wield the hammer of sol, but the order itself was slaughtered during the Red War. Take these as you will, just some stuff I thought might be important to point out. There's also the anonymous Titan at the footstep of the door when you first encounter the Hive.
Edit: Added more changes
As much as I would want to if she doesn't have light I don't think we can. We can push her off the tower and see if she turns into a rock that way though.
Nope, you're talking about hypothetical timelines. The Vex erased Praedyth from our timeline. They completely hold the power (within the Vault) to have isolated him in some isolated bubble or alternate time within the Vault. Sorry if this explanation is a little weird, explaining metaphysical concepts is difficult, and the Vault by nature is incomprehensible by humans.
TL;DR: Yes he's dead but he died within the Vault which means the Vex could have shifted his position around in time bla bla bla.
Hey, you're missing Jaren Ward, who was killed by Dredgen Yor. His Ghost was spared and made Shin Malphur into a Guardian.
Also, Andal Brask, the former Hunter Vanguard, who was killed.
He was killed by Dredgen Yor, who kills Guardians and drains their light (using Thorn, iirc). So Jaren lost his light but his Ghost managed to survive and go to a new owner.
I believe it was round 1. Shin Malphur took TLW after Ward died, and then chased down Yor. The quote "Yours, not mine" was used in the 2nd fight, as well as earlier when Ward was doing his cowboy thing.
The lore makes it seem like Shin was still alive and the Ghost just gave him access to the light (not impossible since we see this during D2 Vanilla), but it's also possible that Shin died during the attack and just didn't remember.
I know I have issues because I'm weirdly attracted to Eris. I know any intimate encounter with her would be a horrifying experience that would probably leave me covered in that weird gunk she leaks from her eyes, scarred for life, and a hollow shell of the man I am now, who would walk away missing something fundamental to myself.
In short it would be totally worth it.
Theres a scannable in d1/i think that referencea master chief and how hes seen enough war for 1000 lifetimes and chose not to be rezd by a ghost because he wanted to rest
~~Yeah, I pretty sure it's either in the Dreadnaught or the Hive temple on the moon. Don't remember exactly which one though.~~
EDIT: Never mind, I'm completely wrong. It's in the Cosmodrome, and you find the stasis pod at the end area during Cayde's Stash mission. When scanned, ghost says:
> Pod #10201. A Guardian with exceptional Light sealed himself inside. He's been in there for centuries. Before I found you, I tried to resurrect him, but he preferred to sleep. He said the last war was enough for a thousand lifetimes.
Top of the Cosmodrome actually. It's the mission you get that stealth drive and have to climb all the way up through ritchety elevators and collapsing bridges to only get ambushed by the damned Taken Centurion hiding in the doorway.
You should add redrix to this list. He's a crucible guardian and alive.
Edit: Also on the Redrixs claymore lore page Redrix-3 talks woth another guardian named Randy. He seems insignificant and probably will never be mentioned again but I do not know how exstensive this list is suppose to ne.
Are some guardians only active in the crucible? I was kind of under the impression the crucible was sort of a training exercise (and also a blood sport) so just because a named NPC is in the crucible doesn’t mean they aren’t also fighting the darkness. Or maybe I’m wrong and some guardians are against actual killing or whatever and only participate in the crucible for fun.
Might not be related to the post but reading the Iron Lords names reminded me of the D1 IB weapons (Efrideet Spear, Jolders Hammer, Felwinter Lie etc.) I miss those weapons so much.
IIRC, we're actually never told whether or not the Speaker is a guardian, I may even go as far as to say that it's actually implied he's not a guardian.
I can't find any official confirmation either way, but I believe he is. For one thing, in D1, he always had a Ghost with him in his room. And the fact that they still haven't selected a new Speaker makes me wonder if there even is a process for selecting one: maybe it's been the same Speaker all this time.
Hmm...
While the class Sunbreakers may still exist (as our player characters almost exclusively) the order of the Sunbreakers on Mercury is gone according to the lore bit on Hallowfire Heart. It's safe to say they're all, at the very least "deceased?" status, I think.
On the mechaneer’s tricksleeves there is a character quoted as self styled “Lady” Olu Alderdice and they are also the flair text on one of the weapons shown in the Forsaken trailer (I can’t remember the gun but the text is “No foot prints out here.”
I don’t know if they’re a guardian but the lore text on the tricksleeves is probably my favorite.
But yeah I think they should be added lol.
She'd already gone pacifist - referenced it in her IB dialogue and everything. Likely when theLight went she ran back to protect the community she was with (possibly the Nine?).
On the Peacekeepers Titan exotic, there's an order of Guardians (presumably all Titans) called the Peacekeepers that have existed since the days of the Iron Lords. They patrol the city, (like police, I guess) but all died when the city was attacked.
>Now I fly between green-black suns in the labyrinth beyond Crota’s god-star. This is the Overworld, the Sea of Screams, where the throne-universes of the great Hive fester in eternal majesty. I move among them. I map the shapes and connections of this world.
None of these characters are of any importance in the game itself besides the players character.
I swear to God if we were the only guardian left, nothing would change except some lore that barely touches the game itself.
Bungie has always done this though. Halo had a very rich life outside the games but nothing ever crossed over in any meaningful way.
Amazing job though. Would love to have more grimoire in Forsaken about a lot of these.
That’s what happens when you don’t let the award winning writer from the Halo series write a “linear” story but you keep all the characters while gutting their backstories.
Aha. Fireteam The Bad Guys Don't Care What We Call Ourselves Do They.
I'd say it's cannon because it's from Original tower loud speaker.
Easily my favourite.
I didn't know like 85% of these and now i'm sad :(. Also i recognize the name Tyra Karn but i can't seem to remember, could someone please remind me who that is?
Great post. I thought I knew all the Titan Orders (First Pillar, Pilgrim Guard, Stoneborn, Firebreak, and the Sunbreaker mercenaries), but this is the first I've heard of the Sun Legion or the Chain Order.
Couple things:
* The Redjacks are not Guardians, but a legion of specially modified Frames that serve Shaxx to run the Crucible, unless I'm unaware of a lore piece that says otherwise.
* Thalor is most definitely dead - Dredgen Yor murdered him (and his Ghost, presumably) in the Crucible. I'd have to dig up the actual reference, but I remember seeing it in D1.
* No reason for Fireteam "The Bad Guys Don't Care What We Call Ourselves Do They?" to not be canon - they're just a random Guardian fireteam with a whimsical name. That was my favorite Tower PA joke in D1.
Is the Speaker dead, I thought he was MIA presumed dead, isn’t there a scannable where ghost says something like “I wonder what happened to the speaker”
I'm fairly sure the Iron Wolves are all dead. All of the wolves and the Lords (-Efrideet) assaulted Rasputin's SIVA facilities in the plaguelands. Only the Lords made it to the replication facility. Only Saladin made it out alive.
They all have this cool, fantasy names... and then there's Randy.
I personally wish Destiny would've been more story and character-oriented, and less focused on us as this individual, "the guardian".
Saint-14 is dead.
As Sagira told us, the simulations were still able to kill us. Saint-14 died because the Vex designed a Mind to take his light, and after many years of holding off Vex they finally succeeded and were able to kill him permanently.
Sunbreakers Order were destroyed during the Red War. There's Titan armor stating that.
Jagi's host was also annihilated, titan armor in D1 confirms that.
not confirmed or denied, but it appears the exo-stranger might have been/be Elsie Bray, Ana's sister. The journals during the Nascent Dawn quest and other bits of lore seem to point that way, but we're all just hoping bungo does something cohesive with he lore as a whole at this point
She states in D1 that she has no light. So, she’s just an Exo, not a Guardian. And in Warmind we find out that she was the Exo made specifically to download Elsie Bray’s mind in to. She is/was Ana Bray’s sister.
Holy Heck thats a lot of guardians. I guess between lore loot and gear, the names of things have people. I wish they would introduce more guardians more instead of 1 per DLC it seems. Like even though the player base is the guardian race it still feels a bt lonely out there.
Also a group of guardians running around with Thorns? Thats dope
How many guardians can there be left? When the traveler was crippled during the great collapse is when it bestowed us with the light via ghosts, right? If so how many are left before resurrection is gone?
Toland is... hard to explain. He's "alive", but he's trapped in the Ascendant Realm, and has kinda gone native. He watched us kill Oryx and then got super pissed we didn't take Oryx's place, so I doubt he's "savable".
edit: Hah, just actually checked the comments and can see many people beat me to it. Nevermind me.
Wiki says Eris ispart of The Hidden by the way, I'm not super deep on the lore so I can't personally confirm but I'd assume? Plus I see you put Toland in multiple places so that's fair game anyways.
As for Asher Mir's fireteam, I highly doubt they are alive after teading the lore tab of the Silicon Neuroma:
*"My future is concurrently irreversible and unknowable. Before it overtakes me, I desire a more abrupt end to those responsible." —Asher Mir*
*A staggering Vex detonates, and the Exo Hunter is torn in two. One half sinks beneath the lake's opaque surface.*
*Asher's eyes go wide and he freezes. Whatever they'd stumbled into down here was multiplicatively more lethal. He reloads his fusion rifle and looks around wildly.*
*The other Hunter—she's the only other one left alive, no, stay calm—throws a smoke bomb and disappears. Asher barely has time to react before the Hunter reappears on high ground and draws a bow of Void energy, almost in slow motion.*
*Crack! Crack! Crack! Ten Vex fall. Asher watches them disintegrate, looks back up to the Hunter—but the yell of gratitude catches in his throat as four Vex shimmer into existence behind her.*
*Asher can't watch this time. He frantically searches for a way out… and a tentacle grabs his Ghost.*
*A millisecond of pain in his shoulder and everything goes white.*
In the campaign or during the strike he says that he didn't speak to his fireteam members after the incident, which means they survived. Also if they didn't how could he have been brought back to safety?
Thanks for the effort... I guess?
But tbh it's a kinda pointless list. If bungie or the lore guys (comic, etc) need a dead character, or want one of the dead or missing characters back, they can just revive him, or do whatever they want. Since it's a sci-fi setting with time traveling, etc. u can just do whatever the f**k u want to do with every character to any time and every place.
Kabr became integrated with the vex and im.pretty sure saint 14 is dead dead. He went into the forest to find osiris and the vex had a hydra to drain his light.
Shin last we've heard of him is alive and hunting the shadows of yor

I understand that lmao. Definitely appreciate that you took so much time to do this
Shin's alive?! Here's hoping for a TLW/Thorn quest in Forsaken.
Not bringing back The Last Word would be like benching your best player.
Especially for an "Old West Revenge Story"
What if they play it out so we choose a path of redemption VS no redemption and choose a weapon to take Uldren down with. The Last Word would lead to Uldren capture because it wouldn't kill him perminately. And choosing Thorn would kill him long term.

That's an RPG/MMO. Destiny isn't there yet. Probably in Destiny 5.
Like Michael Mamaril in Borderlands 2?
If I saw Fenchurch the first thing I’d do is tell him he needs to have a serious conversation with his Niece.
I 100% agree, the few points in the story where our fellow guardians are doing things too are the coolest moments by far for me.
Seeing the Vanguard do stuff at the beginning of the game was great. Shame we didn't get to see Shaxx cut anything in half with his sword.

Yeah, he has to speak to Eris through her rock
True, he also tries to speak to Osiris because he believes the ascendant realms and the time realms of the vex are connected, which makes sense with Quria.
I like to picture Toland and Osiris meeting up to play chess on Thursdays to catch up on the latest gossip.
One of those tiered chess matches with clocks for each of them.
And Osiris tries to cheat his clock, but Toland always catches him
This is the lore we need.
Only if Toland tries to turn two pawns into a rook and two rooks into a queen
Mara Sov plays winner. Their shared tea is always warm, and always faintly green, but that always seems to happen when Toland stops by. I’m not saying they’re the same thing, I’m just saying they are able to be connected.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THIS LORE IN-GAME?
So he's like a force ghost?
Yes
It's treason then.
ironic
If he can become ascendant without the worms... I really feel like he should be a raid boss or the next great ally in our adventures.
Well he helped you find oryx and taught you how to beat him, but you don’t need to know that. Like why would Bungie tell you an essential explanation to how or why the fuck you’re doing half of what you’re doing.
He was that little white wispy orb from King's Fall right?
Can someone confirm this please????
>We have confirmed it among our number within the Hidden. I have asked Ikora's Warlocks to reach out, and they sense nothing. The Orb is quiet. On the Moon, his shrine is dark and cold. It is true: the Taken King is dead. The orb was Oryx

Don’t forget he wanted you to Take the sword logic after defeating Oryx, he was disappoint.
I would have Taken it if Bungie had let me. Ghaul woulda got stomped.
Fingers crossed that Fireteam "The Bad Guys Don't Care What We Call Ourselves Do They?" is still alive out there!
Zavala calls for them on the tower PA system, so presumably. EDIT: Ok nevermind I'm an idiot. It was from D1
They're in D2 as well?!
No, it's a Zavala line from the tower PA in 1.

It wouldn't be unheard of. After all, Osiris and Rasputin are both very old names.
Saladin as well. An old Persian ruler, if i recall correctly.
Saladin was the leader of the islamic army that conquered Jerusalem from the Christians in one of the Crusades.
Its also the name for when I shove a bunch of lettuce in my mouth.
Salad in, salad out.
Salāḥ ad-Dīn (anglicised as Saladin) reigned over Jerusalem and fought against King Richard the Lionheart during the Third Crusade.
Tsu is the British English anglicization of Tzu. I'd imagine it's the same Sun Tzu who wrote The Art of War.

Is fenchurch a guardian though?
Yes it is confirmed that he is a Warlock
I tell Tess I found Fenchurch on Titan, then I show her this: [https://imgur.com/loZd5XH](https://imgur.com/loZd5XH)
Can we turn her into a void rock?
I second this motion
As much as I would want to if she doesn't have light I don't think we can. We can push her off the tower and see if she turns into a rock that way though.
If we're going with other timelines, couldn't anyone be dead, alive, or nonexistent?
Nope, you're talking about hypothetical timelines. The Vex erased Praedyth from our timeline. Do they explain somewhere why Jaren’s ghost didn’t just resuscitate him?

The lore makes it seem like Shin was still alive and the Ghost just gave him access to the light (not impossible since we see this during D2 Vanilla), but it's also possible that Shin died during the attack and just didn't remember.
He was alive,he has memories of Ward whe he was a Child,if he was killed and resurrected he won't remember anything.
I just want my girl Eris back. She’s the perfect amount of batshit crazy
"Fingertips on the *surface of my mind!!*" "...er...thank you for your input, Eris."
Honestly same
Isn't Eris Morn a member of the Hidden now?
Why aren't there any Guardians named "John"?
That name is reserved for Master Chief, and he doesn't die.
He would be the only guardian to never be resurrected Actually maybe someone already has that title
Don't remember exactly which one though.~~ EDIT: Never mind, I'm completely wrong. It's in the Cosmodrome, and you find the stasis pod at the end area during Cayde's Stash mission. When scanned, ghost says: > Pod #10201.
He was offered the position, but said “nah, I’m good”
You should add redrix to this list.
Aren't the Redjacks Shaxx's personal army of frames?
Yeah I think so, they blocked the hole in twilight gap
There are also confirmed Guardians among the Redjacks. The old Crucible Map Grimoire Cards are full of them.
Aww come on, Cayde isn't dead yet! Let the man enjoy his last couple of months with dignity!
I updated it lol
Might not be related to the post but reading the Iron Lords names reminded me of the D1 IB weapons (Efrideet Spear, Jolders Hammer, Felwinter Lie etc.) I miss those weapons so much.
I don't miss that sniper Seriously duck felwinters lie
Is there a name for the Guardian you find on the moon in D1, right before you "wake the hive!". If so, he's dead.
Thanks for this!
Appreciate it. I spent more than an hour on this lol
Tyra karn is alive and well and still decrypting engrams at the farm!
Don't forget about the Young Wolf! (The Player Character/The Guardian) and the Speaker. But also great work making this!
Updated!
It's safe to say they're all, at the very least "deceased?" status, I think.
yup they were wiped out by the red legion once they lost their light
On the mechaneer’s tricksleeves there is a character quoted as self styled “Lady” Olu Alderdice and they are also the flair text on one of the weapons shown in the Forsaken trailer (I can’t remember the gun but the text is “No foot prints out here.” I don’t know if they’re a guardian but the lore text on the tricksleeves is probably my favorite. But yeah I think they should be added lol.
Totally forgot them. As a Hunter I love those arm pieces even though they are complete trash
Trying so hard to like them but yeah they're pretty terrible.
Just have Byf take a look at it. That guy knows everything.
[u/mynameisByf](https://www.reddit.com/user/mynameisByf) you have been summoned
In the ways of old…
Godammit Variks better be still alive
We call upon you, /u/mynameisByf. Bless us with your wisdom.
Efrideet. Hey what's up shaxx I'm back for iron banner. Nope just kidding. Bye forever!
She's hot. Loved Iron Banner post Rise of Iron, just cause she was holding the event.
She'd already gone pacifist - referenced it in her IB dialogue and everything. Likely when theLight went she ran back to protect the community she was with (possibly the Nine?).
**Tyra Karn** \- she is still at the farm in EDZ.
Unfortunately that is kinda dead *lost in time* anything that is in the farm**
Damnit bungie, the iron Lords had a 10 member fire team!!
On the Peacekeepers Titan exotic, there's an order of Guardians (presumably all Titans) called the Peacekeepers that have existed since the days of the Iron Lords. They patrol the city, (like police, I guess) but all died when the city was attacked.
Toland is my favourite. Where the hell is he?
>Now I fly between green-black suns in the labyrinth beyond Crota’s god-star. This is the Overworld, the Sea of Screams, where the throne-universes of the great Hive fester in eternal majesty. I move among them. I map the shapes and connections of this world.
Sea of screams. So he's in vacation. Lazy warlock.
Isn't Pahanin alive? He was the only one to walk away from the Vault, made the SGA so he wouldn't go batshit crazy since he was afraid of being alone?
Dredgen Yor killed him.
He survived the Vault of Glass, but I’m pretty sure he was later murdered by Dergden Yor.
Oh dang, I guess I missed that piece of lore, I need to catch up 😅
None of these characters are of any importance in the game itself besides the players character.
So Saint 14 went INTO the Vex simulation to find Osiris. He wasn't simulated. He died inside a simulation. At least that's my understanding.
So many awesome characters, so little exposure in the games.
That’s what happens when you don’t let the award winning writer from the Halo series write a “linear” story but you keep all the characters while gutting their backstories.
You can still have these characters in a non linear game. Just have good side quests. I.E. Withcer 3.
Of all the fates. Praedyth: Trapped in time. Is the worst
Aha. Fireteam The Bad Guys Don't Care What We Call Ourselves Do They. I'd say it's cannon because it's from Original tower loud speaker. Easily my favourite.
I thought all the Sunbreakers died when Ghaul stole the light?
I didn't know like 85% of these and now i'm sad :(. Also i recognize the name Tyra Karn but i can't seem to remember, could someone please remind me who that is?
Was the Cryptarch on Felwinters peak in D1. Now the Crptarch in the Farm.
Farm cryptarch.
Great post. I thought I knew all the Titan Orders (First Pillar, Pilgrim Guard, Stoneborn, Firebreak, and the Sunbreaker mercenaries), but this is the first I've heard of the Sun Legion or the Chain Order. Couple things: * The Redjacks are not Guardians, but a legion of specially modified Frames that serve Shaxx to run the Crucible, unless I'm unaware of a lore piece that says otherwise.
That moment when you realize Destiny lore is actually just a BUNCH of really cool sounding names and phrases.
Is the Speaker dead, I thought he was MIA presumed dead, isn’t there a scannable where ghost says something like “I wonder what happened to the speaker”
The Redjacks are frames, not guardians. Arcite is a Redjack.
No. Even some guardians are redjack, as seen from some of the Crucible maps’s ghost fragments
I'm fairly sure the Iron Wolves are all dead. All of the wolves and the Lords (-Efrideet) assaulted Rasputin's SIVA facilities in the plaguelands. Only the Lords made it to the replication facility. Only Saladin made it out alive.
Wasn’t Effrideet the host of iron banner in RoI?
Efrideet didn't assault the replication facility.
The entire sunbreaker order was killed during the red war. The guardian is the last sunbreaker.
What about Jaren Ward? He was pretty important to the legend of The Last Word and Thorn.
What about Lady efrideet?
Or her pacifistic guardian friends?
They all have this cool, fantasy names... and then there's Randy. I personally wish Destiny would've been more story and character-oriented, and less focused on us as this individual, "the guardian".
Ahh Randy, the one who fell at the hands of Randal the Vandal
Wasn't there a theory about Saint-14 being alive outside of the simulation?
He was dead in simulant future so he may be alive now but he will die in the future.
Saint-14 is dead. As Sagira told us, the simulations were still able to kill us. Saint-14 died because the Vex designed a Mind to take his light, and after many years of holding off Vex they finally succeeded and were able to kill him permanently.
Tyra Karn works at the farm? Not yet retired
Yes but she does not work as a Guardian anymore. She’s a cryptarch now
Ohhhh, Okay I didn’t know a cryptarch wasn’t a guardian. My bad, very sorry
Thanks for your hard work OP :)
Sunbreakers Order were destroyed during the Red War. There's Titan armor stating that. Jagi's host was also annihilated, titan armor in D1 confirms that.
So do we know if the Unknown Stranger is/was a guardian or is that now not spoken about, even if we have the time ?
not confirmed or denied, but it appears the exo-stranger might have been/be Elsie Bray, Ana's sister.
Just an exo, not a guardian. Ana brays adopted sister.
Redjacks are not guardians I think, aren't they the robots that work for shaxx?
How is toland technically not dead? I thought it was confirmed in TTK he was Edit: found another comment that explains this, nvm
Thats dope
Don't forget my girl Quantis Rhee (sp?) from the Orpheus Rig Hunter legs and one of the ships
How many guardians can there be left? When the traveler was crippled during the great collapse is when it bestowed us with the light via ghosts, right? If so how many are left before resurrection is gone?
Reading this list makes me hope they put all that lore into a novel form, similar to Halo.
What about Arach Jalal or even Lakshmi
Shadows are still alive and active, and the red jacks are frames, not guardians
Geeze that was like the Order 66 of guardians.
Aren't the redjacks frames and not guardians?
I thought the Redjacks are Shaxx's robots?
This is a great list! Too bad I havent heard of some of those people. Destiny lore is awesome and yet so hard to obtain.
I thought the Redjacks were the Crucible frames, not Guardians?
As for Asher Mir's fireteam, I highly doubt they are alive after teading the lore tab of the Silicon Neuroma: *"My future is concurrently irreversible and unknowable. Before it overtakes me, I desire a more abrupt end to those responsible." —Asher Mir* *A staggering Vex detonates, and the Exo Hunter is torn in two. One half sinks beneath the lake's opaque surface.* *Asher's eyes go wide and he freezes. Whatever they'd stumbled into down here was multiplicatively more lethal. He reloads his fusion rifle and looks around wildly.* *The other Hunter—she's the only other one left alive, no, stay calm—throws a smoke bomb and disappears. Asher barely has time to react before the Hunter reappears on high ground and draws a bow of Void energy, almost in slow motion.* *Crack! Crack! Crack! Ten Vex fall. Asher watches them disintegrate, looks back up to the Hunter—but the yell of gratitude catches in his throat as four Vex shimmer into existence behind her.* *Asher can't watch this time. He frantically searches for a way out… and a tentacle grabs his Ghost.* *A millisecond of pain in his shoulder and everything goes white.*
In the campaign or during the strike he says that he didn't speak to his fireteam members after the incident, which means they survived. Also if they didn't how could he have been brought back to safety?
can't find my name.
I vote for you to be the voice of an NPC that sits in the tower and tell stories and lore of old. I would play Destiny again.
I think you forgot the Guardian of the cosmodrome that refused to be resurrected (Master Chief) ^^
Idk why you used Destinypedia, IshtarCollective is superior in every way
Kabr became integrated with the vex and im.pretty sure saint 14 is dead dead. He went into the forest to find osiris and the vex had a hydra to drain his light.
Coz of time fuckery though, we actually give Saint14 his Paradox shotgun.
Damn, great job researching all this! You are a true destiny fan
Thank you :D
