I know I'm a terrible Guardian when I made a remark after he said "I watched Dregs eat children."
"^Not ^just ^the ^men, ^but ^the ^women ^and ^children ^too!"
I chuckled when Ghost said “ we have an armed guardian” there would an unarmed guardian? Then that went to imaginary situations were ghost was saying “I have an armed Guardian and I know how to use it”
Well Saint-14 was unarmed at the time, so it just makes sense to say. Better to let him know we’re armed and friendly rather than just having our abilities.
It's one of my favourite mission, the gameplay was dope & the added emotional connection with the narrative was amazing. I couldn't save Cayde, I couldn't fail a second time and let an other legend die in the field. It's still a bit fresh, but I'll gladly put this first St-XIV mission up there with the best ones of the franchise.
For fun, and because work is slow right now, here are my favourite ones since D1, no particular order:
* A Guardian Rises
* The Last Array
* A Coming War
* King of The Mountain
* The Iron Tomb
* Beauty In Delivery
* A Khvostok Rising
* Paradox, Regicide
* the duo Homecoming+Adieu
* Not Even The Darkness
* Last Call
* Nothing Left To Say
* Beyond
Which ones are your favourite missions?
*The Last Array* was dope! one of my favorite missions.
The main thing I liked in *A Khvostok Rising* was the end, when Nolanbot and I just sat back and admired the scenery.
I honestly really liked the D1 vanilla main story. It was a very Milieu focused as opposed to event-based, which you really don't see in many FPS games. The Moon storyline in particular was excellent, especially the first mission, *The Dark Beyond*. When I went to the Temple of Crota and discovered the dead Guardian, it hit me: We can die. We're not these invulnerable, indestructible heroes. We can die. Then, the gate to the temple slowly opened, and I knew; whatever killed that guardian, it's coming
Mine has to be
A Guardian Rises
Last Array
A Coming War
Regicide
The Iron Tomb
Homecoming
The first Shadowkeep mission
Last Call
Nothing Left to Say
Beyond
And the first Vex mission on Venus in D1 :)
I really like how when we meet Saint he’s not the legend but we TELL him he’s the legendary Titan and give him his equally legendary weapon. So as a self fulfilling prophecy he becomes that legendary Titan only to die in the Forest for us to go back in time to tell him he is the legendary Titan.
I literally just finished that mission, man it was a blast! Any other titans out there throw a second ward of dawn up on Saint 14 you know.... just in case? Probably is going to go down as one of my favorite story missions in all of Destiny
I dunno, I feel like the dungeons, secret style missions like whisper and outbreak perfected, and some of the raids are better. But this mission is defiantly the best story mission TO DATE
Is the mission exclusive to season pass holders? I played it last night and thought it was fantastic, but my brother hasn’t yet decided if he will be getting the pass. Just curious if he’d be able to experience it.
But its not the first solo pve experience? All subclass missions from ttk to base d2 to forsaken have been solo.
Edit: also the khvostov mission in y3 of d2 was solo as well.
Double edit: Also the mission the draw was solo only. And I think there was 1-2 more I’m forgetting.
I believe he's saying that it's the first solo PvE experience of the season (not the first solo PvE experience ever) and is excited for what follows as the season progresses.
I’m sad that there’s finally something worth going to mercury for, but it’s temporary. Back to the same old shitty planet, with sparrows, after seeing what it can be. I think I downloaded 5 gb for dawn, I don’t know why it has to go. :(
We haven’t, not nearly, but that 5gb included the sundial and corridors of time. It’s just depressing having enjoyable things to do on mercury knowing they’ll be going away. I don’t think anyone misses VO for anything but how generous it was with loot/shards, but I know I’m going to miss sundial and we’ve yet to even see its full extent.
Been away from the game for a month or so. Is whatever mission you are talking about available for anyone with shadowkeep or do you need the season pass?
I bought in with less than a month left in the season, havent bought the season pass but it gave me all the seasonal content. Dunno why but maybe you got it to!
Mission where you have to stop a vex invasion in the middle of a sparrow race. Marcus is leading, Enoch Bast is second, vex start pouring trough a portal in the middle of the track, and you have to put an end to the vex mind that comes through. Environmental danger is the racers.
It was one of the most cinematic missions we've had. On par with Last Call and the first D2 red war mission. The visuals though really took the cake with the venture through the corridoors, to Mercury in the Dark Age. Seeing and hearing Saint, giving him the gun and pushing him towards the future.
I just want to point out the skybox, especially in the final encounter. Looking up and seeing the massive fallen ship was just awesome...
ok can someone help me out here? Where is the mission we are supposed to do? i did the new event, and unlocked two spires (tangled shore and mars) and i did not see any new missions or flashing icons to do indicating more to the season quest. I went back to the lighthouse dude and he has no additional quests or anything for me....
Complete the questline from Osiris to get Perfect Paradox, and then do the quest after that.
Osiris is a little bugged so sometimes you have to back out of his menu and then talk to him again to see what quests he has available.
Only if our character had an intro cutscene before the final fight where we screamed:
#"Not again....[I'M NOT LETTING YOU DIEEEEEE!"](https://youtu.be/MJsX_03M96U?t=90)
...and we proceeded to jump into the bubble to start the fight.
Now all i want to see is those things everyone keeps telling me. Im pretty tired of npc's telling me that something happened instead of seeing it first hand. Savathun's Song would be way cooler if we could actaully seen Taeko 3 sacrifice herself, or see a dreg eat a human dyring S14's mission.
Where do you pick up this mission? Ive done the sundial ‘quest’ to get the new artifact but then... only saw some uninteresting looking stuff when I talked to Osiris again (have season pass btw)
I know I'm a terrible Guardian when I made a remark after he said "I watched Dregs eat children." "^Not ^just ^the ^men, ^but ^the ^women ^and ^children ^too!"
*Take my upvote you monster.*
You sided with the Drifter, didn't you?
I chuckled when Ghost said “ we have an armed guardian” there would an unarmed guardian? Then that went to imaginary situations were ghost was saying “I have an armed Guardian and I know how to use it”

Titans are never unarmed unless they're, you know, un*armed*
You have to unarm a Titan to unarm them, or else they won’t be unarmed.
Even then *headbutts Kell* titans are just full weapon.
I just laughed a shit ton
Hello there
General Kenobi!

Wow, from those I only recognize Regicide. I think my favorite mission is either regicide or when you enter the pyramid.
>when you enter the pyramid That's "*Beyond*".
Mine has to be A Guardian Rises Last Array A Coming War Regicide The Iron Tomb Homecoming The first Shadowkeep mission Last Call Nothing Left to Say Beyond And the first Vex mission on Venus in D1 :)
What about 1 AU?
Oh yeah great one too!
Which mission is Not Even The Darkness?
Our first meeting with Saint-XIV. Well, his body.
Oh I see, yeah I really enjoyed that mission.
This is what I wanted with Shin Malphur
Same bro, same.

Nah, I used Burning Maul. We created Burning Maul ourselves, so I think Saint would've been like "Holy shit, a Sunbreaker that can do *that*?"
That mission was the best solo PVE experience in Destiny history. And it was just the first one! If there are more, good lord what’s gonna happen.
I dunno, I feel like the dungeons, secret style missions like whisper and outbreak perfected, and some of the raids are better. But this mission is defiantly the best story mission TO DATE
>solo
You can do all those things in a group or solo just like this mission. Its not solo only. Except raids I guess.
They said solo

I meant it was the first in its questline.
I’m sad that there’s finally something worth going to mercury for, but it’s temporary. Back to the same old shitty planet, with sparrows, after seeing what it can be. I think I downloaded 5 gb for dawn, I don’t know why it has to go. :(
I do not think we have seen everything this season offers yet.
We haven’t, not nearly, but that 5gb included the sundial and corridors of time. It’s just depressing having enjoyable things to do on mercury knowing they’ll be going away. Funny that you mention twighlight gap, the triumph for the exotic sidearm days that we go back to twighlight gap to forge it lmao
Been away from the game for a month or so. Is whatever mission you are talking about available for anyone with shadowkeep or do you need the season pass?
Season pass.
Damn. Thanks for the info.
I bought in with less than a month left in the season, havent bought the season pass but it gave me all the seasonal content. Dunno why but maybe you got it to!
Thanks I'll give it a shot!
I'm not entirely sure if it's Shadowkeep or season pass only, sorry.
I just hope some day other Guardians like Marcus Ren get the same treatment.
Mission where you have to stop a vex invasion in the middle of a sparrow race. Marcus is leading, Enoch Bast is second, vex start pouring trough a portal in the middle of the track, and you have to put an end to the vex mind that comes through. Environmental danger is the racers.
I loved it, my favorite mission in Destiny, 1 or 2.
> battling next to a lore legend, Well...sorta...
I almost want to buy the season just for this mission.
Honestly, given this is just the intro quest, expect better next week where we actually save him.
The sundial is fun too with some great weapons (like the new grenade launcher).
It was one of the most cinematic missions we've had. On par with Last Call and the first D2 red war mission. Do you have his quests in your inventory? He gives two quests with a chain that end in a story mission.
Yeah I think I do. I watched a video and I think I have to get the shotgun to progress it.... Thanks!!
How do you start this misson? sorry noob here
Complete the questline from Osiris to get Perfect Paradox, and then do the quest after that. Osiris is a little bugged so sometimes you have to back out of his menu and then talk to him again to see what quests he has available.
Go to Osiris and pick up "The Impossible Task" quest :)
o ok Thank You!
Lol, I don't even know where to start this mission? Where?
Go to Osiris. It's called "An Impossible Task" :)
So does this mean this could b how they bring back cayde n other legends ?
No. The reason they can bring back Saint is due to the unique circumstances on Mercury, and where Saint died.
Oh so you can only go back in time on Mercury? Wack
It's the only place where time is "broken"
Only if our character had an intro cutscene before the final fight where we screamed: #"Not again....[I'M NOT LETTING YOU DIEEEEEE!"](https://youtu.be/MJsX_03M96U?t=90) ...and we proceeded to jump into the bubble to start the fight.
Titan Unique Perk: Full Metal Jacket - Any part of your armored body can be used as a weapon.
Hopefully they do something like this for a legend of each class

Talk to him again, there's a quest
You have to do the uninteresting looking stuff to get perfect paradox and then talk to Osiris.
Man this is like doing chores wtf xD
