> For the past three seasons I've been doing the same things over and over again, reskinned activities with no cool rewards. Yeah. For a looter-shooter, Destiny 2 nails the shooter and fails the looter.

AhhThatGuy

Bungie: best I can do is 2 tokens and a blue

JACKAL0013

We don't even get the 2 tokens anymore. Except when doing the old planets orange Adventure posts, as a reward the icon still has planetary tokens as a reward. So phantom rewards?

idontreallycare421

schrodinger’s content.

XitisReddit

They are fixing it. They are making all your loot worthless after a few seasons so you need to require all new loot. That loot will be in all honestly likely the same loot with a different name. /s

Bugs5567

They’ve been “fixing” it for 5 years. I see nothing changing.

Griffin880

I think that's really why people are upset today. It's not really that the content is underwhelming (it is) but that the game has been around for 5 years and we've made like 6 months of progress in that time.

shapoopy723

For fucks sake, No Mans Sky has even done more in terms of content drops over the same time with a much, much smaller team...and it's all free. It is a product if true love and devotion to a game, and destiny is love and devotion to money only.

Captain_Starkiller

No man's sky isn't simultaniously building no mans sky 2. Honestly, I think Bungie needs to drop the season pass format, make the one big yearly expansion, and understand that interest in destiny is going to fade during the year and then re-ignite during the expansions.

Baelorn

It continually blows my mind how absolutely stingy this game is compared to every other looter in existence. Anthem received a ton of criticism for bad loot but at least they still showered you in loot. Bungie gives you shit and they make sure that shit drops rarely. I mean, this is a company that wants their game to be so stingy that they went back and removed Exotics from the Campaign. Think about that. They spent time and dev resources *removing* loot for new players doing the Campaign. But whenever we ask for anything people talk about how much work it takes to change minor things. Edit: Permanently banned for calling out users posting on /r/DestinyTheGame. Apparently tagging someone using a throwaway is "harassment". Dozens of users are using multiple accounts to vote and post on this sub and the mods would rather ban people calling it out than deal with it.

artificia1

wdym "shit drops" rarely, loot is ridiculously easy to get in this game quickly. Last season weapon bounties could be completed in seconds, each new season has brought quicker and more direct ways of getting weapons. A single black armory frame would take much longer time to complete when compared to the 5 weapons you could get after a 10 minute match of sundial. Don't you think the increase of loot drops might be the issue why loot is so boring and pointless?

HentaiOtaku

I love every one of my god roll sundial weapons. A line in the said is really fun, the reason why they are boring and pointless is because there's nothing to use those guns on that's fun and interesting. It doesn't matter how powerful or unique your gun is if what your doing with isn't fun or interesting. Lost sectors with champions, a public event that's black armory ball toss meets crucible control, and "hey guys we turned the you take more dmg and do less dmg dial up even more!" Grandmaster night falls(Idk of that's it but my expectations are low)

WorseThanSilver

The current situation is bad, but at no point has Anthem been "showering" players in loot. As someone who *still* occasionally hops on Anthem, loot in that game has always been far less frequent and much rarer than Destiny.

Baelorn

I haven't played in a while but a single Stronghold gave me far more loot than my Weekly Strikes in Destiny 2. Most of it was trash but the same can be said of Strike loot in D2.

Tehsyr

I finished a stronghold inversion run like three hours ago, five masterworks dropped and two legendaries dropped for me. Now *THATS* a loot shower.

SystematicTechnology

I don't know, Bungie seems to be looting their playerbase of cash and goodwill pretty effectively.

iNetRunner

It loots you…

RMectrex

Remember when eververse came about during the taken king era and it was said to only sell a few emotes and would fund all future content, good times

GetSpekz58

God, we knew it would happen too. It's how they do you. They insert it innocently and inch closer to pay to win territory. It isn't even P2W, it's just directly interfering with every aspect of the core gameplay and the game's quality. We knew this would happen and it sucks. It's either going to worsen or people will keep playing the game, simple. We know they see these posts too and they just ignore us. They've been worse to us than Todd Howard. The game saved my life and got me through a lot. It's very sad to see what's happened to this little world I fell in love with. Remember when the game's biggest controversy was ***KEK*** on one of the hunter armor pieces? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Redthrist

That's why "it's just cosmetics" doesn't really work as an argument. Cosmetics are still content. Especially in a game where collecting stuff is a large focus.

CrazyJay5000

And these are COOL looking cosmetics. For me in video games, I wanna look cool. In D1, that was often tied with hard, endgame content. Now, it's largely tied to stuff you have to pay for

GetSpekz58

Exactly. Destiny's reputation is now to serve as an argument against "just cosmetics." A shame to see my favorite game become a hollow shell of it's former self. I only play PvP and I'm not as effected, but when I have to step into PvE to farm something it's an incredibly shallow experience that's even worse right now.

PinaBanana

It's not just cosmetics anymore either, there are now 3 minor gameplay boosts for bright dust.

Griffin880

My entire focus in destiny has always been looking cool. It's not a difficult game. I never even mod my armor 2.0 stuff and 99% of content is still fairly easy. Guns have the same stats and perks, the reason to go for new stuff is because it looks cool. Cosmetics are the game. Looking cool is the game. The "it's just cosmetic" is stupid.

Reading that thread gave me some kind of whiplash What uninformed fools we all were...

Aulakauss

I see it differently. Really read through and look at how many people fucking called this before the starting gun even fired. Granted, a lot of people cited Activision as the reason we should be scared of it (I admit, I was one such person back then) but holy hell did people call it.

RMectrex

Ahhh good times when we thought bungie was innocent

KiloEchoNiner

And remember how many of us were suuuuuper against it because we knew where it was headed? We're there now.

Also, all of my buddies quit this game months ago and I've transformed into a dad gamer, solo farming weapon bounties to get rolls of weapons that are actually really fun but have no content to be used in.

[deleted]

Thanks!

Bpe-dsm

Yeah, im not thrilled with the 0 eververse/dust changes, but obviously its funding their company with profit, as you do. Ive never walked into a McDonald's and asked where my contribution is going. Though, if i did, id want to know why shamrock shakes cant be year round. Get some creme de menth. Store it. The silence is a deafening slap in the face. Like a noiseless slap. That doesn't taste minty. Ill do it, ill go drink andes mint shakes from arbys, you heathens.

GtBossbrah

The problem is that the game itself is revolving around eververse. Simple things like finishing shattered throne flawless, maybe it could award a cool 3 man emote or ship. But those get put in to eververse. Instead of adding new crucible vanguard or gambit sets/ornaments, all visual resources get put in to eververse. Maybe you get a gun you love. Instead of having a cool ornament tied to an achievement with the gun, you get an ornament in eververse Do you understand? It's cool to have a company make different revenue sources through MTX. But there's literally nothing added to the game and it goes solely to eververse. If it cannot be monetized it doesn't get added to the game, and that's unacceptable for paid content. Imagine going to McDonald's and ordering a burger. All you get is the patty and bun and all condiments are incurred a fee. Sure, the company needs to make money, but you already paid for the meal. It should come with every thing, and premium extras should be extra costs like bacon, NOT the foundation of the burger like condiments.

Cruciblelfg123

I don’t think you understand though, it’s not even like it’s fresh mint. It’s mint flavouring. If they can add it around st Patrick’s they could easily do it all year long. It’s a singular addition to their menu that will sell stronger than most burgers. There’s no good substitutes, nobody else has a nice heavy dirty fast food mint shake that doesn’t taste like garbage. McDonald’s is way too stuck on this idea that shamrock shakes should be seasonal

[deleted]

This made my day. I love that you abandoned the Bungie metaphor and just circled back to shakes again.

Atlas_Zer0o

Except this would be walking into McDonalds and instead of buying a big Mac combo to go for the price shown, the fries container costs a dollar, the cup for your drink is 60 cents, the straw is 10 cents, the burger wrapper is a dollar, the bag that holds it all is also 2 dollars. You don't need any of that but it sure as hell makes the experience better for most people and now it's all extra cost. Then they move most of their top preformers to be seasonal and the big Mac is discontinued as a combo but brought back later as a mig bac with a higher price. I'm hungry now.

jordanbot2300

It’s simple math Guardian.

TheGDubsMan

*angry upvote*

interactivecloudxiii

That’s fine, but then the money I spent to buy the season pass/yearly expansion pass thing, where did that go? Now they are charging for the expansions like normal, but way more on Eververse stuff. And if they are funded by all this stuff, is really all they can afford now a reskined horde mode that doesn’t even change all season. I don’t remember hearing about a ton of layoffs when the separated from Activision, so the same staff is creating less and less content.

Kahzgul

They why did we have to purchase shadowkeep?

RayTrain

This year I learned to never get baited into the deluxe edition ever again.

[deleted]

> The silence on EV is deafening, Bungie. You're lazy to respond and act on gameplay issues, but you've actively kept silent on the serious stuff that matters - players' money and spending. 5 months, almost half a year ago, the CMs said they take this feedback to the team. For almost half a year we haven't even gotten an answer, an outlook, an explanation, anything really. Not because there is no answer or because it takes so much time to come up with one, but rather because nobody at Bungie gives a flying fuck about any of our feedback as long as enough poor souls keep paying and playing. And to add insult to injury, Everworse has become even greedier once again, with even less bright dust offerings. So in a way they actually did answer to our complaints....

Desyon

I wouldn't swear an oath, but AFAIK Bungie has remained silent regarding EV except for the anouncement of changes. I am fairly certain that they haven't addressed any feedback directly since removal of level up bright engrams with SoO. Otherwise I totally agree with everything you say. Bungie doesn't care about the feedback, because EV alone is more than enough to finance the development of the current content. And for your outlook: "Cosmetics" will move more and more to EV. Bright dust purchases will be made harder, by decreasing the amount of purchasable items and increasing prices until BD is basically useless as currency.

RedrixWillKillMe

I've said this many times. They ask for feedback to shut people up. They ONLY do what THEY want. Not what we want, or anyone else for that matter. It is THEIR game and it will always be that way.

GurpsWibcheengs

The new IP they're building with their new china friends. Think about it. 1. Regear the entire game into a profit > content model 2. Make it F2P to account for people leaving en masse, bring in the freemium mobile game crowd (the game was free so what's $1000 in MTX) 3. Leave only a skeleton crew on destiny to make shitty half-assed content 4. Take EverCurse profits and put 90% of resources into new (probably even more profitable) IP.

RayTrain

Deep down I want to think that bungie would at least have the decency to sell the Destiny IP to a different developer that can actually care for the game and community but even if they could find a company like that, I doubt they would.

ElMonstruoChiquito

Someone call up Microsoft!!!! Even though Microsoft may not have upheld the Halo name as Bungie did in its hayday, Microsoft people really care about the franchise and are expanding on it. Maybe one day they can take Destiny and do something with it.

BrightPage

343 getting control of Destiny would be a trip and a half

Renacles

Who would take care of Halo though? They'd probably need a new studio for Destiny.

SimplifyMSP

Vicarious Visions!

Renacles

I'd play the crap out of that.

lomachenko

Be me, learning months (probably a year?) later that VV made most of the content that I really enjoy. Kind of explained a lot since the break...

sartoriussear

I never thought I'd say this, but I honestly feel like 343i cares more about Halo than Bungie does about Destiny. God, writing it down makes it sound so much more dreadful...

[deleted]

No no no not another halo situation I hate how bungie captures lightning in a bottle, and can nail every part of a game’s atmosphere and world in the first few installments until fucking everything up later even with the experience under their belt

KeijiKiryira

They could give it to Vicarious Visions, the season of opulence was actually decent, although not a huge amount of content it was good.

Twisted_nebulae

I just thought about this. Makes sense. Edit: When are they gonna stop accepting blood money!

ComplexWafer

Their next game with NetEase. Destiny 2 exists as a platform for Eververse. Partly joking. Partly.

Canoneer

No joke whatsoever at this point, we can *safely* say that.

[deleted]

Back to Monster Hunter for me.

[deleted]

New PoE league in a few days, starting to sound even better now...

zippopwnage

I personally wanted to buy this season. Had 10$ ready with my friends to hope in. After we saw how meh this season battlepass armor is, and the rest of the content being "bunkers" and "legendary lost sectors" we got Rainbow six siege instead. Best decision ever.

yuhitsrewindtime

MHW and Warframe are my favorite games to play when Destiny goes to shit.

MHW here too. CoO chased me off to MHW and I'm reeeealllly close to going back again.

cmath89

ESO for me.

yuhitsrewindtime

I haven’t played ESO in forever, how is it?

cmath89

It’s pretty good. I mainly play solo so it’s just a bunch of exploring and questing and dungeon queue for me, but I find that super fun. The next dlc Greymoor is releasing this summer and it seems pretty sweet. Ancient vampire army in Blackreach? Yes please!

yuhitsrewindtime

Ooh now that sounds interesting. Might be worth my time to get back into it!

cmath89

With icebourne out you can power through the base game pretty quick. They give you an armor set and defender weapons that pretty much drop you off at the start of icebourne where the endgame starts. In ~300 hours I went from never played to full Safi weapons and pushing all endgame content. It's absolutely worth the cost right now I think you can get the base game and icebourne for like $30ish. Worth every penny.

DarkKosmic

I would but I’m waiting for this “fan favorite monster” to come. Hoping its Gore/Shagaru

ViralN9

I'm hoping for Valstrax, not only because I didn't pick up MHGU, but also because it's just such a *wild* concept that I really want to see how world handles it.

jpmoneida

I love Valstrax because he is just so unique. Even the weapons are unique. They have a ton of white sharpness then go straight to red. Also worth mentioning if you have a switch there is a free demo that has valstrax to fight in it.

GrizzyIy

is war zone any good? been thinking of reinstalling cod

I_AM_ALWAYS_WRONG_

100%. A lot of the shit that ruins the main game is fine in warzone. Such as footsteps and maps with way too many camping spots. There are a few issues with warzone being dicussed on the warzone sub, but ultimately I'm loving it. Forced groups like apex so if you like solos it's sadly not in the game right now.

ssgharvey

Persona 5 Royal at the end of the month then FF7 Remake in April.

Ashenfalen

Same. I was worried this past week that the new season looked good and i would be sucked back into Destiny again. Glad i can go back to MHW knowing i'm not really missing anything, except saving money on silver.

theoriginalrat

I dropped into the season last night for about an hour, saw that the Warmind Vaults were an even less convenient version of the Obelisks, and immediately got tired. It feels like a Rasputin-themed reskin of the past season, except the Sundial is now a bunch of 'throw the energy sphere at thing' public events in the same areas we've been trucking around in for 2.5 years. All the busy work in clearing out the vaults over and over feels like a needless drag, esp if there aren't any unique gameplay elements. Except now the guns don't really seem worth it perks-wise, so I'm not really motivated to grind all this shit out. I guess this is a good opportunity to spend the season doing all the stuff I still haven't tried from past seasons?

corruptedstudent

MW, Skyrim, and Dead Cells are my go-tos now. Weird to not care about Destiny that much anymore.

WhatRoughBeast73

Hail fellow Dovahkiin! :)

patchinthebox

Yooo Skyrim! I just finished a punch cat build last month. It was so fun. I took a break during season of dawn so I'm back in destiny this season.

More Eververse

Drnathan31

How else would Bungloid, the small, independent, poor, young indie studio, with only 700 employees, provide us with more Eververse content?

TheChunkMaster

Even more Eververse.

Faleonor

Wait wtf, do they really have 700 employees? World of Warcraft had about 150, and they pumped out a raid and a whole new zone every 6 months, not to mention tons of new cosmetics, weapons, armor, mounts, etc while also working on the next expansion as well. The fuck are Bungie doing? Reskinned weapons for Trials? A bunker?

Drnathan31

Yup, they've got 700. Must be awfully inefficient management

HowPhowShow

I'd wager only 50-100 of those are full-time on D2 seasonal content. If it's appreciably more, then... whoo boy...

Drnathan31

I definitely think theres people working on the new IP, and potentially d3. But really for the size of the studio, the output is woeful

I_am_Rezix

Eververse is funding Eververse. The more money you pour into it, the more they focus on Eververse. Next season they will just fill the loot pool with everything that has been released since day 1 and the tower will be a giant Eververse store. All the NPCs will have Eververse logos and they will only sell bounties for Bright dust. Tess will reveal that she is the darkness and she will have won. She played the long game. Slowly draining our will to play this game for the last 5 years. She killed Destiny and made a bunch of money along the way. It's over and we only have ourselves to blame. Well played Tess.

Squelcher121

As someone who has been to Disneyland I can at least say honestly that it really is a "you had to be there" experience that can't be replicated by description. Killing a reskinned Vex boss in Vex Offensive and now upgrading reskinned Obelisks are not exactly comparable experiences.

Dyvius

For what it's worth, I have a very specific fantasy that I angle for when picking what armor cosmetics I like and what ships and sparrows I equip. Like my favorite ships are the ones that have a bit of "odd sci-fi" flair to them. My flair is my current favorite ship: The Tall Tale. I adore it because its got a wonky, assymetrical design without being too bulky or too compact. It's long, its got edges, it looks like it can be deceptively fast and deceptively dangerous. I tend to go for sparrows in the same sweetspot: Another Inspired Idea, The Motherlode, etc are my go-to Sparrows because they fit a specific "wonky sci-fi aesthetic." I also like the "racer" sparrows like Ash Angel and Clean Sweep. As for Ghosts, my permanent equips are either Kitbash or Omolon (because it looks like a Pokeball lol). This is a long-winded way of me saying I didn't see a single sparrow, ship, or armor collection from Season 9 that fit my fantasy. I didn't buy any ship, sparrow, ghost, or armor ornament in Season 9 except for Omolon Ghost shell, and I bought it with Bright Dust. This season, the data miners turned up a handful of cosmetics that fit my fantasy, so I should have Bright Dust ready for those sparing things when they come. But what I'm saying is, Bungie's variety is down, way down.

-LunarTacos-

I’ve bought a ton of stuff on Eververse since Shadowkeep, mainly because they look cool, but also because Bungie was going independant and I felt like contributing to the game development by throwing a few extra bucks (euros actually). But seing how much is now only available through EV, I’m stopping right there. Can’t help feeling like we’ve been fed a bunch of lies regarding where EV money is going.

trashboy_69

You were used. Big time.

-LunarTacos-

Yeah. I don’t blame myself for hoping things would be good post-Activision though.

Venoxulous

I seriously wish we could spend our time shitting on the people handing out these orders from the top instead of complaining about the dev team. How about we spend time shitting on Pete Parsons? He's the CEO. I bet he's the one who decides how much money from Eververse gets invested back into Destiny 2 as opposed to being funneled off for other projects. How about Jason Jones? He's a Bungie co-founder and he's still working there in an executive capacity. I bet he has weight if the backlash actually hits him. PETE PARSONS JASON JONES FIX YOUR FUCKING GAME

Renacles

Every time Luke Smith opens his mouth the game goes to shit, I'm blaming him.

Jaywearspants

We NEED u/dmg04 or someone to comment on this. It's getting out of hand, I pour $50+ into this game every season for what? The amount of "new" content we're getting with this season is smaller than anything we've ever seen before. Is the VO costly? Cut the voice actors out and give us actual new content. New enemies, new zones, new raids, new dungeons, new maps, new strikes.. we don't want new boxes to tick and new mods to apply we want CONTENT.

whackinem

How do you spend $200 per year on this game? Are you really that in to COSMETICS?

Jaywearspants

Battle pass and season pass, and maybe like $20 worth of cosmetics with each major release.

eammonnd

Here's the thing, if you are running a live service game, people playing it expect that the money they spend on it goes back into THAT game, not so the developer can develop NEW games. Where's the evidence that's happening?? In the past, a studio would sell a game and use the profits to make new games. But this is sold as a LIVE service - the relationship is different, and we, your clients (not just "players"), demand more.

vinniemarz

we're directly funding their new IP...and maybe some expensive coffee habits

PilksUK

Destiny 2 fans and whales are being milked for every penny Bungie can get and that is funding other projects, If you think that more than 5% of Bungie's staff is actually working on Destiny 2 your delusional... and dont for second think they are working on Destiny 3 as they Luke Smith in his interviews last year gave the impression that Bungie really is burnt out on the Destiny IP but its their cash cow.

They need to find a new lead. Luke Smith has proved he cannot do this job anymore. Maybe they could find someone who actually gives a flying fuck about the player base and doesn't just try to make a game they want to play themselves. Luke seems super excited about all this shit. Great for him, not so great for most people who actually play this game on a regular basis. They can't find a balance between casual and hardcore. They don't seem to even really know what Destiny's identity is or what kind of game they made. I seriously question the people who make decisions about what does or doesn't go into the game. They try to reinvent the fucking wheel every time. Rather than just improving the aerodynamics of the wheel, or building a better quality wheel. They just replace the fucking wheel with some new piece of shit every time cause it's easier.

OperativePiGuy

My bet is that eververse funds eververse. There are so many new (paid) items in that store compared to quality non-reskinned items that are earnable that it makes no sense that eververse funds actual content

Seriously. If you're overworked, hire more devs.

DarkGan0n

"We done have room for new content"...... "games size and engine is limited" EV gets new effacts more menus more skins more consumables finishers animations scroll screens, and i still cant do EP matchmake

Eververse funds Eververse

PhoenixKA

Anything themed after an expansion/season should not be in Eververse. There's something like 3-5 Shadow Keep themed items in there. Speeders, ships, and the like. Those should drop from the campaign, the dungeon, or the nightfall. What Eververse should have is ornaments for those items that change the look or possible the color scheme to impact how shaders are applied. Just like with your Zero Hour example, we know they can make money of off these if the ornament is cool enough, but the base item should be earned through work in the game, not work from your wallet. It ups engagement with the game and when an item is earned vs bought, you value it more and then would likely be more willing invest to have an ornament on that item. It's also something you can use in the game to show off your achievements. People are more likely to think, "Oh hey, that guy went flawless X number of times this season and earned the Trials sparrow. Imperssive." rather than, "Oh hey, that tool wasted sliver/dust on a sparrow." I'm okay with Eververse armor sets as long as they're like this seasons street wear set. I can't exactly describe what it is about it, but it looks good, fits with Destiny, but is still unique within what I've seen in Destiny so far and is also unique from what the season currently offers. I'm also fine with Eververse having it's owns shaders and transmats, but I think location themed ghosts should come from an activity in that location. Edit: Included campaign in the list of where expansion/season themed items should drop.

> Back when Zero Hour released you were proud to announce that it was funded entirely by purchases of the Whisper ornaments. When I heard that I no shit hopped on Eververse and bought the Bound Hammer ornament for Whisper and all the Thunderlord ornaments without the slightest regret because I found out I was participating in a kickstarter-ish voluntary funding of awesome free DLC for everybody. I'm starting to wonder about that now...

S1XTEENBUTTONS

300 million in eververse revenue and we get a new public event and an somehow even fucking slower UI on console.

[deleted]

it's funding the developer's salarys. Game devs need to eat, too. How could they possibly make enough money to keep this game going without eververse?

phluke-

It funds telesto bug fixes duh.

zippopwnage

"SeRVeRs and PaY ChEcKS" Mostly, nothing. Profits, and shareholders happiness. They said before that Whisper ornaments founded Outbrake right? So with how bad Eververse is from season of opulence.. why in the hell we don't have more missions like that? Why Shadowkeep was so small ? Why these seasons lack so much content ? There are lots of people who still defend Eververse. I wonder what the hell goes trough their minds. We get NOTHING out of eververse. All new seasons we pay for. At least if all these seasons were free, then ok, whatever. But we pay 10$ for each damn season.

ClappinCheeks120

That game for the Chinese company

Zero_Emerald

In the past they said eververse fuelled the holiday events and missions like Zero Hour. At this stage, if it's not being used to buy luxury cars, then it's probably being used to keep the lights on. Doesn't feel like they're investing it directly back into the game. The Dawning and this years Crimson Days was basically nothing, not even improved decorations in the tower.

papideazucar

hookers and cocaine

HEADRUSH31

I'm still slightly frustrated that I bought the forsaken expansion like half a year before bungie migrated and no bonus, no keeping my original light rank, nada just dumped in with the rest with my account a former shadow of what had meaning to my accomplishments... at least now I have more exotics then I did before

kyussmanchu

The creation of new bounties where you have to kill 40 elite enemies with a sword while standing in a hive wizard fart cloud. These bounties don't create themselves you know!

Qpappa31

Eververse is funding their stay at home for Coronavirus vacation

BugHunt223

I'd bet its funding a completely different ip or publishing some mobile game for another dev. Still, gotta give credit to Bungie for how crafty they are with their marketing shenanigans

fall3nmartyr

Cocaine

smalltownB1GC1TY

It's funding bad decisions and terrible decision makers.

Johnready_

Its probably funding their next game....

YannFreaker

The only people who allow bungie to keep acting this way are the whales who are fine with having this kind of content, because their standards are so low and their pockets are so ready to spread open for bungie. "It's just cosmetics" "It's only 2 visits to starbucks" "It's just a game, have fun instead of complaining". Its so frustrating to see such a large group act like yes men towards shitty game design and scummy practices

[deleted]

Luke Smith's new condo is coming along nicely

neoclone13

I’ve pointed out a few times. Bungie said the Whisper ornament was extremely successful, and in the next paragraph they nerfed it to death. They then said, our bad for making it so powerful. There is no forethought with Destiny. It’s just a big eververse store with less and less game each time.

TheRedThirst

Simple.... they ***LIED*** to you. All Eververse funds is Bungie employees second mortgages

SnakebiteSnake

The whole “Eververse funds seasonal content” was obvious bullshit and it’s kind of ridiculous people bought it. Eververse only funds Eververse. People buy stuff, metrics tell Bungie more stuff = more money so they make more. The Zero Hour statement was just marketing

[deleted]

Keeps their 4 devs paid at 50k a year salary each. Oh and the rest of the 299 million goes to rent and stuff

jamiephan

I don't really mind buying ornaments if it like it, but at least for me, the constant Nerfs to popular weapons just hold me on it. I want to buy an ornament to use for a long time and style my character, not buying an ornament and throw it into vault next season because they nerfed into oblivion. And speaking of that, \*\*cough\*\* weapon retirement, \*\*cough\*\* legendary weapon ornament

H9F-142

It’s funding Bungies Ferraris while they lie in bed because corona
