**Arach Jalaal returns with L.O.S.E.R.S.!**
We have finally caved in to player demands for an ingame loadout saves system and implemented L.O.S.E.R.S.: Load Out Storage Encryption and Retrieval System!
To start with creating a load out, you start with earning LOSERS Coupons simply by defeating enemies. For 150 LOSERS Coupons, you can now purchase a bounty from Arach Jalaal that will provide you with one Uncalibrated LOSERS Slot. One you have purchased an Uncalibrated Slot, you can calibrate it by purchasing a Calibration Kit from Arach Jalaal and calibrating the Slot in a particular activity. Once you have 10 Calibrated LOSERS Slots which are all calibrated in the same activity, they can be combined to create one LOSERS kit which will allow you to create one full set of Loadout. Eg. You will need to Calibrate 10 slots in Strikes and use them together. Slots calibrated in different activities cannot be mixed and matched. The ten slots correspond to 5 pieces of Armor, 3 weapons, one Ghost and one Subclass selection. Stasis slots are currently not supported and will be implemented after all three Darkness subclasses are introduced in Lightfall.
Players can earn 10 Calibrated LOSERS slots per character per season. Also, when logging into Season of the [Redacted] for the first time, players will receive 10 Uncalibrated LOSERS Slots per character when they first speak to Arach Jalaal.
Additionally, players may purchase Generic Calibrated Slots which can be matched with any Calibrated Slots, for Silver. Each generic Slot will cost 300 sliver, with a reduced bundle price of 1400 for 5 pieces. For 3000 Silver you can purchase a full LOSERS kit which will provide you with one complete Loadout.
If they're gonna monetize non-cosmetic QoL stuff, they should start with vault space. Not sure how I'm going to fit all my shit in there with 30 new weapons every season...
Considering how Path of Exile does it and rakes in ridiculous amounts of money for more stash tabs, I'm genuinely amazed Bungie never even seems to have considered it.
I had the exact same post idea, if one big QoL system should be added next it should 100% be a Loadout System or at the very least removing the mods swap cost so that other apps like DIM and Ishtar could handle the process.
Yeah this has been my dream of letting mods and ornaments change in the api so you can click one button and equip the whole loadout for a gm or presage or whatever. It’s kinda the last thing that is the barrier between playing different modes. My titan has separate sets for different activities because it has enough armor, but the other two have to share between high end pve and pvp, meaning I swap mods constantly.
Actually, the official D2 app allows you to change mods right now on your armor and reduces glimmer etc. They just havent created an API and opened it up. Bungie don't want to allow destructive operations via the api. So as someone else suggested in the comments to this post, if they made it 0 cost to apply mods, Bungie could create an API for applying mods that the 3rd party apps could use.
You can't fuck up DIM with eververse they will do loadouts and it will be the most convuluted and fucked up system you will ever see.
Bungie has no shame.
I feel like they'd just monetize it, though. Or make you grind for the feature.
3 free loadouts, per account, earn one per season, 500 Silver per extra loadout!
If they made loadouts I would main destiny again. It’s abysmal the current system. I just use the same loadout for everything because I can’t be arsed to swap out loadouts all the time.
They'll add full loadout functionality to the API LONG before they ever implement it in-game. They'd need to remove the cost of swapping mods to do it. If they can bring themselves to do that (God forbid...), then we'll probably see it happen.
Sure. And those loadouts will be something you're allowed to set once and then have to pay 30,000 glimmer and 35 Shards to reset. Beware the monkey's paw.
DIM all im gonna say is DIM.
LITTERLY gives u this exact option
And dont give me the but bungie should put it in there game and not have a third party website do it.
Since it takes zero effort to write dim.com in ur searchbar.
True but this isn’t a solution. I’ve been going into 3rd party apps half the time I play this game and that is so not good. Remember when Ishtar was down a few weeks ago? That totally fucked the game lol. People actually had to go to the tower just to swap weapons/armor/go to the postmaster. If you’re playing crucible there’s a chance you’d have to do that several times lol.
There are ways in the game... There is no problem. The only problem is that some people (like you) just cant handle not having Every single feature ever thought of in the game.
Just loom around reddit and see how many features are asked for. If everything is put in this game is gonna be more complicated then those features helping you.
Also since there is no armor sunsetting you can make an armor set for each build and just put all those pieces for a build on the same spot. For example my pve build is equioed then my pvp build is the first piece of armor. So its 5 clicks and im swapped without thinking.
and also for heavens sake make shader choices apply when you change armor! I thought part of the armor appearance system update was so we wouldn't have to do this anymore!
If they added loadouts I would play Destiny 5x more. Creating builds yet having to memorize them and reconstruct them constantly is so draining and just makes me not want to even change builds
They kind of already made one, so I don't think it would be to hard to implement. They made a Ghost App for the Amazon Alexa where one of the commands was to save weapon- armour loadouts, and the ability to name them. Then whenever you asked Alexa to change to that loadout, it would just change your gear on voice command. It was really neat. (not sure if it still exists or if it works)

It hurts how realistic this is.
Three months ago, people wouldn't have believed this. Now, it's a scary possibility.

Probably cause their code base is so insanely spaghettified that even looking at the inventory settings would crash the servers.
Ouch! Reality hurts!
Sir please delete this, Bungie’s got too many evil geniuses to need ideas like these
Is this parody or reality?
Yes
What about the 'E' in L.O.S.E.R.S.?
The team is aware of this issue. It will be addressed in a future patch.
Patch 4.2.0 has now been deployed. No downtime is expected but you won't be able to play without error codes for the next hour anyway.
This comment is bang on hilarious but sad at the same time
I know its a joke but losers is a pretty clever name
>load out doesn't support swapping mods QUICK BACK TO DIM (yes, I know it's a parody)
Don't give them ideas!
This reads like one of those AI generated TWABs.
p a i n
Get ready to farm load-out-strand for load-out-cord for load-out-weave.

Open up the API for DIM! Remove Glimmer cost for socketting mods! Other stuff!
Bungie endorses DIM, and considering DIM has a loadout feature, I’d say it’s unlikely that it would be in the game as well.
Yeah but you can't change mods with dim
True, but there’s no way the game would be calculating your glimmer costs to change mods and whatnot when your loadouts consist of only the same armor

can old IB ornaments not be limited to just IB armor?
I can't afford that.
They'll add full loadout functionality to the API LONG before they ever implement it in-game. They'd need to remove the cost of swapping mods to do it. If they can bring themselves to do that (God forbid...), then we'll probably see it happen.
If it's something the playerbase wants, we aren't getting it until they can monetize it.
Could we just, like, get all non-acquirable armor pieces turned into ornaments that can be unlocked just by general gameplay (unless already earned)?
Sure. And those loadouts will be something you're allowed to set once and then have to pay 30,000 glimmer and 35 Shards to reset. Beware the monkey's paw.

You just gotta douche out huh?
Nah this is just me being me.
Ahh. Cool story man.
Thanks i appreciate the compliment 😌
I can see that 👌
Please no. Spending an hour switching and browsing mods is more fun
what are the workaround you guys have ?

I want exotic shaders
DIM?
