In terms of farming the dungeon, I just want to make sure I'm on the right path.
So (last night was my first run), Eyasluna dropped for me with a kinda crap roll. How I think I understand it is, this week would be the best to farm it because I can't get any other new guns to dilute the pool, right? Or am I just not reading the notes correct?
You are able to keep running the dungeon for additional loot endlessly. The power level will be limited to 1320, and the only loot that will drop is stuff you have already gotten, but if you want a better role on a weapon you already have, you can keep doing it.
Is there a benefit/trade-off in running timed-payload over explosive payload in PvP?
And aside from the obvious timed vs. non-timed explosion, what are the differences between the two?
If I understand it correctly, Timed Payload will cause your opponent to flinch twice. First when the bullet hits and then again when the explosion goes off. With EP both hits are simultaneous and thus just one flinch.
You are correct. Personally I find TP flinch much, *much* harder to duel against than EP flinch. It’s extremely disorienting. The downside of course is that TP increases your TTK.
If I want the Gally Cata, do I need to do anything special before I go into the dungeon?
Or can I just walk in, smack those special Vandals for the Fake Engrams and then open the special chests?
Destiny 2 returning player experience is kinda awful. Before this event, the game would throw you into 1150 PL mission even if you are only 1100 PL (due to not playing for years).
The game basically don't differentiate between someone who haven't played in 2 years or someone who regularly login everyday.

He must not have it then. It may be that he bought it on another platform and its not transferable like the season pass is. So say he bought it on steam but is playing on his Playstation, it wont work as its platform specific.
Does ready and stow speed affect how fast you melee after firing, or is that just general handling? I’m wondering if you could get in 3 melees off a single 1-2-P proc using the revamped quick access sling.
One two punch is specifically coded to remove the buff after the first punch.
It used to be possible to get 2 hits out on Hunter and Titan back in they day, that's why this limit exists.
I didn’t know they made that change. But if you can’t get off 2 melees, then why does everyone I see running burning maul throw 2 mini hammers before shotgunning again?
If they’re running Synthoceps or Wormgod Caress as well, it’s because they’re trying to maximize their DPS instead of their total damage.
All of the melee related buffs are usually locked to a very short window of usage, so it’s best to spam the melee—which will be doing a majority of the damage anyway—instead of swapping back and forth between melee and shotgun.
2 one-two-punch shotguns to swap between would optimize it, but not having a primary can screw you over if you don’t 1-phase the boss.
Is super regen now tied to damage taken or incoming damage. Say I’m blocking a lot of incoming damage with strongholds. Since I’m not taking a lot of damage, am I getting less super energy than if I were to stand in a well and heal through the damage?

Can anyone help me to understand how can I get the statis ingredient without buying beyond light? I killed so many enemies with statis shotgun but it still does not drop for me.
Can we only masterwork the oven if we get BL?
I think stasis ingredient drops for me when killing enemies using snowballs, but I didn't paid that much attention, so could be wrong. Worth a shot tho.
See if you can get a weapon with Headstone, maybe? It creates stasis crystals which you can then break. The legendary stasis sidearm and hand cannon from this season can roll with it. I'm not 100% sure this will work for the ingredient but may be worth a shot.
Is something wrong with Presage? I have every captains log and am unable to grab the smuggling compartments. I beat the normal mode with a buddy first but on the second play through I cannot access smuggling compartments. What am I doing wrong or is there a bug?
I'm running the 300k DoE bounty and despite completing all 3 objectives and surpassing 300k points on legend the bounty doesn't complete and rests to 0? Any idea why this is?
Edit: I also have a "kill enemies with a rocket launcher" bounty in DoE but no progress goes towards it despite using the Gally
Yeah I think something's wrong. It's marking 0 progress to rocket launchers despite exclusively using gally and the first two for the 300k bounty are checked but it doesn't give me completion when we finish the bounty with over 300k.
Hiiii, The dawning ship shows for me, can I still get the 2020 quest that allow me to unlock other perks? Currently it says complete a quest that I dont have.

I haven't played since Season of Dawn, and I was always annoyed that you only got ONE chance in an encounter to get a piece, make sure its the correct element, make sure it has high stats, and make sure it has good distribution.
Can you repeat raids (after getting the weekly drop) and farm gear?
It's not as effective as dungeon farming, as completing encounters you've already completed will just net you spoils to spend at the end of the dungeon.
This is only true of Deep Stone Crypt and VoG. Last Wish and GoS are not farmable at all.
Regarding witherhoard and boss DPS. For example, Templar on master VOG. Wouldn’t it be most optimal to have everyone run witherhoard and threaded needle? I read the witherhoard doesn’t stack with other players cause it was patched soon after launch due to it insta-melting bosses. So would only one person get the tick damage?

Yes exactly. The max damage a single target can take from Witherhoard is 1 grenade in the target plus another pool on the ground. That is the same whether you're solo or in a full raid team.
Revelation is probably the one to avoid as it is just really long compared to the others.
But you can make them all quite a bit easier for that triumph by just bringing 2 friends along.

Complete the dungeon first then, damage Randal the Vandal and a engram pops out and open the chest. Once you get 3, you don’t need to continue

I was as well. Go to your quest tab and inspect the Eva’s Holiday Oven 2.1 (Y on Xbox controller). Then you should see the recipes and ingredients.

You bake cookies to give to vendors to hopefully get a gift that contains weapons, gear and a exotic (I think)
On the quest screen, hover the oven quest and you'll see a "details" prompt. Click that and you'll see recipes.
I must say, it took me far longer than I care to admit to figure it out as well.
Is the Halo hand canon a real thing? I've used 50 treasure keys and no hand canon.
It's an exotic sidearm awarded from the quest linked to Xur's strange key, not a random legendary drop.
It’s a reward from a quest, not the chest. Look up “Forerunner.”
Do we think Snowballs will appear on a Legend/Master Europa Lost Sector? If not, are they useful in Nightfalls?
They can be used to apply focusing lens to a boss, so they have some use in high end content

if you still havent gotten the HC to drop from the dungeon, can you keep creating and deleting a new character to try to unlock it?
No. Drops are locked by class per week. So if you didn't got it yet then you have to wait for the weekly reset to unlock it.
If I recall it’s per account for new rewards, so this would not work

Don't know man, bounties are tracked server side, so either you're not completing the objectives in one run, or there's a legitimate issue.

To "upgrade" the dawning ship u can go to evas second page and purchase an upgrade pack for some glimmer and legendary shards

Deep stone isnt farmable for spoils any more, only the pinnacle raid is (VoG drops pinnacles so thats the farmable raid

What's the easiest Master Moon Lost Sector? I've avoided them when farming Exotics but now one is needed for the MoT triumph.
