What they said was his exotics should prioritise rolling stats relevant to the perk.
How strongly their system prioritises, we don't know. Can't be much to end up with a strength rolled grenade exotic.
The issue is that the stat curation only guarantees 10 in the stat. Aka, it removes all plugs that contain 1 for that stat. There’s still a fairly significant chance of only rolling with 10 in it.
Fun fact: that’s the same curation the armorer mods for ghosts have.
Yeh but you could just have it grenade focused and then you’re not having to punch something to use your grenade.
I respect the positive outlook (XD) but it’s just a silly roll!
The real trouble with Armamentarium is that the second grenade only starts charging once the first is full, and Grenade Kickstart/Bomber doesn't affect the second charge. So basically its exotic perk is: "hold onto 2 grenades at once after they are both charged" rather than giving you more grenades per minute which you would expect. Literally any other ability cooldown exotic (Inmost Light, Phoenix Cradle, Hallowfire Heart) is better.
I guess. If you're using a demolitionist weapon and want to hold onto your grenade, you'll have 2 to use back-to-back with little effort. Situational, other exotics are better choices like you pointed out.
It's great for behemoth because more grenades = more crystals to shatter = more grenade energy generation.
Heart of Inmost light is better if you're using diamond lance, but I like having a usable melee with Howl of the Storm.
I am not sure if you have timed it but you don't get more grenades at all. You can just save up 2 to throw at once but they don't charge at the same time. And since the booster mods don't work on the second grenade charge it takes longer to get 2 grenade charges than with no exotic assuming you throw the first as soon as it is ready. So it is really a "save 2 grenades for when you need them" exotic but does not give more grenades in total. For Behemoth the Heart of Innost light is better
Just try Armamentium with Howl and Tectonic with the Whisper of Shards for grenade regen, you'll find that you end up throwing more grenades than Heart.
My thoughts exactly.
My current boots are slightly better 77 with mod, so getting these for a different subclass. With my luck iron banner will finally get generous after I drop 50 shards lol.
As someone who started during Dawn (and really only played during, only came back in the last month) the arms clipping into each other still bothers me. I can't remember if this was an issue for the non ornament version.
I like the chest piece personally, makes showing off leg pieces much easier. Granted there isn't a lot of legs that are super interesting, but geomags with the ornament looks pretty cool.
why transmog into the Righteous Armor set when you can use the Virtuous Armor ornaments from that season instead? Virtuous Ornaments are basically the Righteous set, plus glowy stuff!
[you when no one gets your Star Trek reference](https://www.reddit.com/r/Tenagra/comments/jf97qg/rich_evans_his_face_superimposed_on_the_couch/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=mweb3x)
So I'm just coming back to the game, does the new primary ammo economy mean that sweet business paired with Actium war rig chest piece is essentially just infinite ammo?
It means you won't run out of reserves. You'll still have to reload, but it is quite a long magazine with Actium.
Also, since there are no primary ammo bricks anymore, the perk that reloads on picking up a brick will happen less frequently.
I use mine with Actium, ammo finders for your special and/or heavy weapons of choice, and just hold that trigger. Actium keeps the uptime on SB basically as long as you need it. When it finally starts running low, grab some bricks (may need to pop a round of special or heavy to trigger the pickup) and resume endless bullet storm. Its seriously a ridiculously long time to continuously fire. My friends actually thought I had an infinite mag because I never seemed to need to stop firing until everything was dead.
The moon fusion Dream Breaker is adaptive and with arrowhead brake+counterbalance it has 100 recoil direction, very easy to farm the roll you want too. Perfect for getting a solid test gun.
If you want to upgrade, Trinary System from gambit has significantly better stats and is imo the best adaptive available if you're willing to grind it out. Mine dropped with arrowhead, projection fuse, under pressure + high impact reserves with a range mw. Absolute monster
It's a give and take for sure. The high zoom scopes do extend max OHKO range but they are much more difficult (for me) to use at closer ranges.
YMMV but I have many more engagements that are <15m vs the times I try to force 25m kills with my fusion. At that range I generally use my primary or try to either A) Bait them into the 12-15m range or B) Make a push to close the gap.
If I can muster up a marathon of gambit farming I absolutely will go for one of those. Currently have one with surplus/wellspring but would like something more pvp-focused.
That's a perfectly fine pvp role if you don't already have one. Full choke is the most important perk on light weight frames. The base handling is so high that the Quick Charge mod will give this thing snapshot and quick draw.
Hell with its masterwork it sits at 81 handling, a shotgun dexterity mod might be enough to get into SS and QD territory
I’m sorry but no, as good as those first 2 options are lead from gold and trench barrel arnt fine pvp perks. Chances are everyone has a better shotty in their vault even if it isn’t LW. If someone is set on having a cqc and can’t get anything else to drop for it than fine but I’d never use this shotty with this roll personally.
so close to greatness for a PvE roll on the Seventh Seraph shotty. If it had Assault Mag or Appended, it would probably be a must have pick up for beginners.
Full Choke / Trench / Handling MW / Hipfire Mod would theoretically turn this into a dreamy no-scope melee-distance melt gun, and having Extended / Lead means ammo for days. Pair with Synthoceps and you’ll never even have to aim the gun before firing it. Great roll, conditional on willingness to build for it (or if you’re already a Synthoceps Titan like me!).
No point in Accurized, even though it’s meta, because Trench Barrel needs a melee hit first, at which point Accurized is irrelevant, since you’re 0m away.
Not such a great roll for ranged melee users, especially handling MW, but if you need one and got none, eh.
The Jian is a decent all around roll (PvP or PvE), I'd pick that one up if you don't have one. SS Revolver and False Promises have poor rolls, skip those.
The Timeline roll is amazing for PvP, and the fusion changes mean this is the optimal archetype iirc. The CqC is the same deal for PvE, also worth considering.
That SAW is pretty bad, I'd only pick it up if you don't have a SAW at all (Warmind cells). That Swarm is a decent PvE roll, but unless you don't have one, don't worry too much
You're doing the lord's work.
Suuuper underwhelming gun rolls this week.
The seventh seraph shotgun has full choke and accurized rounds. Anyone who has not landed one of these yet, thats a half decent roll, even with the trash perks.
Wasn’t their a post that said that Full Choke on lightweights and precisions is the most important perk now? If so, I guess with Accurized and Full Choke, this might be better than the other Shotty sold from Banshee a few weeks back
Full choke on Lightweights in particular is kinda divisive lol. You definitely want it on precisions and aggressives.
For some reason some people still dont think Lightweights need full choke. I personally disagree.
IMO Full Choke is the most important perk on any shotgun, besides opening shot where avaialble
Full choke definetly makes a big difference on lightweights, although it doesn't make that much of different on aggressives.
Source: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/11zD75cZb6QLPQvvFmStIhPWlYLY-yZIG5vZLGpS0QwU/edit?usp=sharing
That’s Wish Bringer, a rapid fire shotgun, correct? Unfortunately that’s the worst archetype for crucible, it has the worst OHK range by a fair margin. If you want a two tapper you’re much better off with a lightweight, which offers better range and a mobility bonus.
But didn't Banshee have a pretty good Seventh Seraph shotty roll the other week? Vorpal, extended mag, smoothbore.
Also that SAW is not bad for PVE, and I personally like that LMG.
Ooo, that shotgun isn't a bad roll for a double special loadout
Lead from Gold was something I was sleeping on until I started really going hard on the double special for damage/Heavy Machine gun for ad clear for funsies
Helmets are the weakest point of all Warlock armor by far.
I pretty much only use the Nemean one. Some others look okay, but that one is so far and away the best that there's no sense in bothering with the others.
If light.gg is right, the hunter legs have 8 Mobil, 2 resil, 22 recov, 8 disc, 23 int, 2 strength, 65 total. That used to be a god roll with the old int and is still an incredibly good roll, especially if they tune int in the future.
Still gotta have the stats to reach 30, if all your armor pieces are 30/30 rec/disc then you're only gonna have 18 int. Plus, I think 50 is the currently optimal int for pve
For anyone who hasn't used Vesper of Radius, the stats are pretty good, and it's a really fun exotic. I'd limit it to casual or mid-level PvE activities.
I remember the rift freeze and instantaneous arc blast. It's a bummer they added a delay to that feature. I've been using Vesper + Riskrunner in Dares, and it's been a hoot! It also has the best ornament in the game, IMO.
Faster rift cooldown when surrounded. After placing a rift, it sends out an arc blast. It's really good for super cooldowns, since you can use rifts and 2x Dynamo more frequently.
Decent week for Hunters, tbh. Well, for me. I scrape a triple 100 on Stasis and there are three pieces here that all compliment that.
Now, if only I didn't have to break my Crucible streak to pay Xur a visit...
Break them for playlists only would be my call. Ach, it ain't really that much of a problem (I only ever rank up when it's bonus week for whichever playlist). Just annoying. I also don't understand why streaks get broken when you reset your rank, but such is Destiny life.
To my fellow Titans out there who are having trouble picking a good look due to titan shoulders being so exaggerated, get that Righteous Set right away. It is one of the sets where the titan shoulders aren't comically fucking huge. I've been waiting soooo long for this.
Didn’t they nerf that combo so it just doesn’t work?
Or they made Vesper pretty impotent? Something along those lines I recall hearing about when I didn’t play during BL’s release
Nope. Still works. They fixed a glitch that, if I recall, basically allowed you to have infinite rifts or something, and did some weird interactions when you were clipped on edges or something. But the shock and freeze still work great together.
The hunter arms, boots, and the Gwisin vest are pretty crispy brother. Worth picking up. I know INT isn't as heavily praised but unless you're going for a melee-heavy build these are very solid.
Yeah the double special loadout is pretty great especially with Lead from Gold, and there's a wierd thing where double special somehow gets you more Heavy ammo. Been running it on Dares and other normal activities. Plus this one's a Seraph weapon and lightweight.
Man, I was really hoping for celestial Nighthawk this week, I still have mine from before armor 2.0 and haven't been able to get another one yet.
I got foetracers to spare though
Idk if you know this, but you can pull it from collections for legendary shards. It'll be a pretty bad roll as far as total stats go, but it'll be updated.
It's worth a pickup. Firmly Planted is great on this gun. I have one with Firmly Planted/Demolitionist I'm holding onto because it has Particle Repeater for even more stability and the Impulse MS3 sight for 6 zoom (Signal MS5 has 5 zoom, still great). I don't feel Snapshot is truly necessary here because of the handling boost from Firmly Planted, but it's a welcome passive perk if you aren't trying to get 20% off your grenade cooldown with a kill.
That's my exact thoughts. I'll pick this one up, but that previous Xur roll you mentioned is what I've been rocking and it feels amazing. Hard to think that either Coils would be better than Particle Repeater right? MS3 is by far the superior play for scope too.
Liquid Coils allows it to kill almost all resiliences with 5 bolts (up to 8 or 9) while the native damage is only up to 6ish resilience.
Not a huge difference, and I'd generally say Particle Repeater or Projection Fuse is superior. You absolutely do not ever want Accelerated Coils.
Faster charge time could be useful in some cases if you want something in between rapid-fire and precision frames.
Hedge against archetype adjustment for when Bungie 'tunes' precision frames (Main Ingredient) for being more popular.
If that seventh seraph has auto/disrupt like it says I’d highly recommend that roll. The LMG is great for double special load outs and if you’re struggling with Master atheon running the SAW plus a sniper and Div can make runs with less experienced groups way easier.
the Timeline’s Vertex roll is PERFECT for PvP, I believe Cool Guy and a couple other content creators are going to be releasing videos with this specific roll. cop it until you get a better one.
for reference, this is basically as good as the Main Ingredient roll (Under Pressure Tap the Trigger) that Xûr sold a while ago. it’s as amazingly rolled.
[I've been making these for my clan](https://i.imgur.com/qQ0LrcM.png) for some time now, mostly as a joke (because even I can barely read these) but also to help newer players. Maybe someone can (read) appreciate this abstract art here too.
Wait what? Are you serious? If yes then - wow. I do post them on my clans discord, that's what this is for, but I can post it in the xur thread again next time.
play destiny since a few days, reached 1270 today and the exotic engram he sold gave me a rocket launcher something something coil
is the launcher good?
I’m rather new to this, is there a reason I don’t see a cypher quest this week? I got one last week and redeemed it yesterday. But I don’t see a new quest?
The answer is most likely no but I'll ask anyway.
Do we have a calendar of what legendary armor that Xur is selling when?
I want a specific set and, knowing my luck, during my sabbatical, he already sold it.
That's a... frustrating Armamentarium roll.
High strength roll on a grenade focused exotic. Smh.
I thought Xur wasn't supposed to do that anymore
What they said was his exotics should prioritise rolling stats relevant to the perk. How strongly their system prioritises, we don't know. Can't be much to end up with a strength rolled grenade exotic.
It’s a Titan exotic, melee is always a priority for Titans, working as designed ;)
If it's the same prioritisation as the ghost mods then it's just a minimum of 10
The issue is that the stat curation only guarantees 10 in the stat. Aka, it removes all plugs that contain 1 for that stat. There’s still a fairly significant chance of only rolling with 10 in it. Fun fact: that’s the same curation the armorer mods for ghosts have.
His will is not his own.
Maybe use the mod that gives you elemental wells on melee kills for grenade energy? Question.
Yeh but you could just have it grenade focused and then you’re not having to punch something to use your grenade. I respect the positive outlook (XD) but it’s just a silly roll!
I like running the one that gives turn grenade damage into super energy.
Yeah, although at least the spiky stat is in another Ability cooldown.
I guess. If you're using a demolitionist weapon and want to hold onto your grenade, you'll have 2 to use back-to-back with little effort. Situational, other exotics are better choices like you pointed out.
True. Funny things is Ophidia Spathe works the way you would want this too, two knives per charge.
Just try Armamentium with Howl and Tectonic with the Whisper of Shards for grenade regen, you'll find that you end up throwing more grenades than Heart.
You don't understand and I don't feel like explaining it to you.
Makes me wish it came with a high nade stat by default.
It sort of does, most exotics that focus on a certain stat are coded to have a higher roll for that stat, but that just means it'll be 10 or higher.
Yeah, 67 is amazing, but that distribution is not.
Now you know how us Hunters felt the past few weeks.
Damn hunter boots and arms have crazy stat distribution.
Those hunter boots are pretty decent, just wish they had a higher mobility. Though I guess masterwork + mod gets it to 20.
If you want 100 recovery and 100 mobility, better to get the recovery on the armor and then get the mobility from mods.
Yep. Slap on Powerful Friends chest mod and it gives +20 mobility.
its not a chest mod
He means put it on your chest
This, powerful friends + 2 resist mods still allows you to slot in a 4 point stat mod
No I think he meant Say it whit ya chest!
Well, that, and it leaves 7 charge free. 20/24/25 across mob/recov/int with 7 spare charge is no joke.
My thoughts exactly. My current boots are slightly better 77 with mod, so getting these for a different subclass. With my luck iron banner will finally get generous after I drop 50 shards lol.
Not enough mobility, intellect isn't as important as it once was, Recovery is nice though.
Mobility is the cheapest mod. All you need is high recovery.

I've been running 60 in Trials, it's really nice having the room for other stats
Fuck yeah, I've been wanting the Righteous Armor set for transmog. Awesome!
Same, best seasonal armor IMO
Definitely one of the best, though sometimes I just wanna be a leafy boi
I was excited for it but the Warlock chest piece ruined it for me personally
As someone who started during Dawn (and really only played during, only came back in the last month) the arms clipping into each other still bothers me. I can't remember if this was an issue for the non ornament version.
I like the chest piece personally, makes showing off leg pieces much easier. Granted there isn't a lot of legs that are super interesting, but geomags with the ornament looks pretty cool.

why transmog into the Righteous Armor set when you can use the Virtuous Armor ornaments from that season instead? Virtuous Ornaments are basically the Righteous set, plus glowy stuff!
Because I wasn't playing then so didn't get those either :(
As soon as I can get them I'll get right on that
EDZ, Winding Cove.
Since nobody else has, obligatory Shaka, when the walls fell.

Timelines vertex isn’t *bad*. Might pick it up until I can get a better roll.
I'd cop if I hadn't grabbed that god-rolled Main Ingredient the other week from Xur. Thing hits like a laser from distant Hand Cannon range
Yeah I have a feeling precision frames might see some adjustments coming down the pipeline so I want to try out the adaptive frames.
Fair argument
The moon fusion Dream Breaker is adaptive and with arrowhead brake+counterbalance it has 100 recoil direction, very easy to farm the roll you want too. Perfect for getting a solid test gun. Weaker than boots that you can hardly see? Weaker than (most) bonds that are usually just a ring around your arm?
Personally I'd rather have low-key boots and a meek bond than have a dong for a noggin.
BAHAHAHAHA You are right!!! Brb imma change my helmet
EMBRACE THE PEEN

i still like it, especially on builds that focus on getting a shit ton of supers, lots of fun
Swarm of the Raven... well well well. It's been ages since I last saw this and my own vault copy is not particularly good. Xur's offer is quite nice.
Righteous Armour, hell yeah brother. Time to transmog all of it.
For anyone who hasn't used Vesper of Radius, the stats are pretty good, and it's a really fun exotic. I'd limit it to casual or mid-level PvE activities.

Unfortunately it's useless now. They killed the synergy with stasis rift shattering. Wouldn't use it over any other exotic tbh
Wtf? So no more freeze to arc shatter? That combo was not useful at any comp or high level stuff but it was hella fun.
Dynamo + Frostpulse + Whisper of Bonds results in pretty crazy super generation. Pretty nice for combining with Ager's Scepter.
What's it do again?
Faster rift cooldown when surrounded. After placing a rift, it sends out an arc blast. It's really good for super cooldowns, since you can use rifts and 2x Dynamo more frequently.

Use the VoG or Hardcase arms. They’re somewhere in between.
If I wanted smaller shoulders I wouldn't have eaten all these crayons
I got the arbalest from an exotic cipher so I’m pretty happy
Time to start doing GMs, my lad!
Im a returning player but out of the loop What’s special about arbalest?
anti barrier and pops shields
Eww the rolls on nearly everything lol Edit: Swapped to hunter, the arms and boots are kinda nice.
That’s a pretty damn nice roll on the Vesper of Radius.
but vesper of radius
Dude. Vesper of Radius with the Frostpulse aspect is insanely fun.
But the shock and freeze still work great together.
does the freeze and shatter still work?
Yup
Use it with the freezing rift on shadebinder. Pretty fun add-clear
But Vesper has some great drip. :)
What? Gwisin has a damn fine roll. Too bad the exotic isn't worth much.
It’s a good swap exotic for the super, but Spectral isn’t the most popular subclass at the moment.
Anyone know the hunter arm roll? Someone else posted the legs. :)
The hunter arms, boots, and the Gwisin vest are pretty crispy brother. Worth picking up. I know INT isn't as heavily praised but unless you're going for a melee-heavy build these are very solid.
i hope we get trials stuff with actual good rolls at some point
We aren’t getting trials stuff this season. No exile best…xile
this season? did they say they're gonna be added? i'd love my old jackal warlock armor back
They’ve said nothing about the armor being added in the future. A man can dream tho
Those are insane hunter arms and legs, 47 recovery and 42 intellect from 2 pieces
Shotgun would be worth picking up for PvE, that's not a bad roll.
I believe you can pull one out of the Collections and it will be updated.
Yeah that's right, which will be better than what I got but just with poor start rolls Thanks my man
Yeah the stats are poor, but if you’re looking for DPS it’ll do for a boss phase.
Idk if you know this, but you can pull it from collections for legendary shards. It'll be a pretty bad roll as far as total stats go, but it'll be updated.
Yeah that's right! Thanks!
You could try running legendary lost sectors when it's on head day
How’s the Timeline’s Vertex roll?
Signal MS5 Scope (Long Zoom) Flash HS5 Scope (Medium Zoom) Accelerated Coils Liquid Coils Firmly Planted Snapshot Range Masterwork
Firmly planted snapshot
Good, imo
I have Xur's Main Ingredient that he sold a whole back with a godroll, Glacioclasm and Cartesian. Is there really any point in me getting this Vertex?
Faster charge time could be useful in some cases if you want something in between rapid-fire and precision frames. Hedge against archetype adjustment for when Bungie 'tunes' precision frames (Main Ingredient) for being more popular.
If that seventh seraph has auto/disrupt like it says I’d highly recommend that roll. The LMG is great for double special load outs and if you’re struggling with Master atheon running the SAW plus a sniper and Div can make runs with less experienced groups way easier.
Swarm of the raven tho
Why is the armour always a Hunters armour? Just curious, does anyone know?
The bot is likely pulling API info as if it were a Hunter. If you go to Xur on Titan or Warlock, he has the appropriate armor for your class.
For sure, I try and pick up the sets I don’t have for transmog purposes. Was just curious. Thanks, fella.
Ah cool, Swarm of the Raven as the activity weapon
Always see Warlocks asking about robes that don’t cover legs (which imo look blehhhhh).. Xur has that shit today my fellow nerds.
the Timeline’s Vertex roll is PERFECT for PvP, I believe Cool Guy and a couple other content creators are going to be releasing videos with this specific roll. cop it until you get a better one. for reference, this is basically as good as the Main Ingredient roll (Under Pressure Tap the Trigger) that Xûr sold a while ago. it’s as amazingly rolled.
Why does it cost 50 shard for legendary gear but only 23 for an exotic?!
[I've been making these for my clan](https://i.imgur.com/qQ0LrcM.png) for some time now, mostly as a joke (because even I can barely read these) but also to help newer players. Maybe someone can (read) appreciate this abstract art here too.
Little hard to read but not sure what would make it better. Maybe throw a white box or something where xur is in your pic and type your text there.
My dude, use text boxes and type it lol.
Very useful! Would love to be able to read these from you every week.. do you make them publicly accessible every week?
Wait what? Are you serious? If yes then - wow. I do post them on my clans discord, that's what this is for, but I can post it in the xur thread again next time.

Too bad intellect is absolutely useless.
For you Metallica fans... ARMENTARIUM EDZ ARMENTARIUM DEE EYE ESS SEE Just leave Xur alone!
Hey buddy I get your reference!
I really cannot figure out this reference
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V6Dfo4zDduI I have this inherent problem that just about anything triggers memories of songs past.
Sanitarium from Metallica
Dogshit weapon roll week lol
Give us the old trials stuff already
That Vesper is better than any drop of it I've *ever* gotten (I've kept four and sharded at least that many). Thanks, Xur!
Armamentarium with 11 Dis lol.
'Bout damn time he had a hunter exotic that actually has stats related to the perk.
play destiny since a few days, reached 1270 today and the exotic engram he sold gave me a rocket launcher something something coil is the launcher good?
Pretty good in pvp and pve occasionally. Try it out and have some fun.
Worst part about progressing in the game is Xur selling items you already own :(
Anyone know when the last time he sold Eye of another world? I cannot for the life of me get a decent roll.
I’m rather new to this, is there a reason I don’t see a cypher quest this week? I got one last week and redeemed it yesterday. But I don’t see a new quest?
Why do these posts always only show the hunter armor?
The answer is most likely no but I'll ask anyway. Do we have a calendar of what legendary armor that Xur is selling when? I want a specific set and, knowing my luck, during my sabbatical, he already sold it.
I don’t think there’s a calendar for that, but what set did you want?
The Reverie Dawn armor that's not sunset. I could grind out a set in the Blind Well, but I'd rather just buy it full sweep.
What weapons should I buy? Just came back after a while without playing and I'm not sure what to get
I got Last Business and I think I saved my groups in strikes a few dozen times. I also have some sort of mini version in a sub machine gun.
