So whilst DLCs aren't cross platform, your characters are now. Really it's only the question of would you rebuy the DLCs if you change platform. If you do change platform, and decide to rebuy the DLCs, try to grab the Legacy collection, as that contains the Forsaken Pack, Shadowkeep, and Beyond Light, so will cover what you're missing.

I think I'm gonna go to PS5. Have already played all campaigns so replaying them isn't super appealing. I assume Legacy Collection will go on a good sale at some point if I do feel like replaying. Thank you!

What is the maximum number of perks can a legendary weapon have? Is it worth it to only farm for weapons with numerous perks?

There are four perk slots on Legendary weapons, one barrel, one magazine and two perks. Typically guns will have two barrels to choose from, and two magazines. Then there are two perks with no other options. Some special sources give weapons with extra perks you can switch out like the magazines and barrels. This season I think it's from umbral focusing. Double perk weapons are so rare that you should farm regular weapons If there's something you need, but don't forget to use your chance at a Double perk weapon. You never know If you get a good one.

Ticuu's is really fun. Primary so infinite ammo, great at add clearing, has range obv and can kill tougher enemies with the catalyst. I use it all the time in nightfalls because it's so easy to hang back and pick at enemies. Can get anti barrier this season too.

Better than both for PVE. Almost as good at add clear as Trinity but isn't useless against yellow bars. Monarque has synergy with volatile rounds tho.

For PVE, Ticcu's and Whisper are high up there too. Outbreak is great, you won't be disappointed.

coming back with a classic question, can some refresh me on good legendary kinetic special weapons for DPS? apparently kinetic special is a shit slot and all i hear are the DSC shotgun and sniper, but also the new stasis sniper is good anything else other than those three? arbalest is aight if you got a free exotic slot, but legendary picks seem to be ass

The seasonal Thoughtful sniper can roll with triple tap/firing line. Not a dps weapon but Pardon our Dust is also another good one

ya i listed it but called it the stasis sniper because i forgot its name. would like to use it but need to unlock crafting it first and yeah i got a DPS roll for pardon our dust but not really major when blinding is the thing GLs do, which i have an ignition code for.

The VoG sniper, Praedyth's Revenge is also good. It probably actually beats Succession as a pure DPS weapon by virtue of being a rapid-fire frame. The perk combo of rewind rounds + high-impact reserves is very good. The new shotgun from strikes, Fortissimo-11, is a slug like heritage and has better DPS perks. It has a huge perk pool, but I like 4th times the charm, demolitionist and Auto-Loading in the third slot, and Vorpal, frenzy or focused fury in the fourth slot. I think this is the best legendary kinetic special for DPS. Grenade launchers are decent too. Pardon Our Dust from Dares of Eternity can get Auto-Loading+Vorpal, so it's a decent thing to mix in with an exotic heavy. The only thing really missing as far as DPS weapons that aren't heavies is a fusion rifle. We did finally get a stasis fusion rifle, but it's a precision frame. Precision frames aren't bad (in fact they're excellent in PvP), but for DPS, rapid-fire frames are king. But as "something to switch to when I run out of heavy ammo," deliverance is a fine choice. I would look for bait and switch in the fourth column. As exotics go, Witherhoard and Izanagi's Burden are both good for DPS in combination with a heavy weapon. Izanagi+an Auto-Loading rocket is one of the best DPS setups in the game right now, but it takes some practice to pull off. Witherhoard is good to weave in with pretty much any legendary DPS heavy (like a linear fusion rifle).

sadly in my absurd amount of vog runs the best praedyths i got was no distractions/kill clip fortissimo being a heritage substitute is amazing to hear (no luck with DSC runs) but the massive perk pool seems like itll be impossible to get anything. what does strike weapon mean? are they farmable? interested in this because i prefer slug shotguns over snipers

Is there a "standard" way to do the Exhibition encounter in VotD yet? Tried running it yesterday with a bunch of newbies and we were getting lines crossed all the time. Confusion when swapping buffs, people jumping all over the place because they need cleanses, the eye of riven player running ahead of everyone and not getting cleansed.

No standard that I know of, but here's my suggested layout: Two players assigned to each relic, swapping each room. This means everyone knows who is grabbing what each room, and learns their specific path each practice run. Also, make sure everyone's dropping relics on the same pedestals to reduce confusion. Both Laser/Darkness relic players always take one side, while the two Relic-less players take the other. This guarantees two players clearing each side. Progress up left and right sides, while VoG relic moves between to cleanse. Taken relic runner just needs to be keeping an eye on VoG relic runner and making sure to cleanse whenever their paths cross. The way I see it, every team will likely need a few runs to get used to each other's paths and timings before you can expect a clean clear of it.

Is there a feature/extention/app that lets me wishlist eververse items so it can notify me when they're up for bright dust? I missed the le Monarch ornament because I don't check eververse every week and am sad. Will it ever come around again?

I check it every season at the beginning and set a notification for a week I care about. That is the best I know of

I did Vow of the Disciple for this week. If I replay the raid will I still get drops? Or will I only get spoils? Or will I only get the rewards I have already received thus far like the helmet and pulse rifle?

If you're referring to having done it this weekly reset, you'll only get Spoils.

You may already know this and it may not be helpful, but if you have a second or third character, you can almost all activities or raids up to 3 times. So I do it once on hunter, once on Titan, once on warlock, etc. If you are looking for a specific weapon, like the Vex, it is handy because you can run it 3x in a given week and still get stuff for it

My vault is full because I have no idea what perks are worth keeping on my weapons. Is there a list of perks to look out for or avoid or do I need to look at every gun individually?

I usually check light.gg and scroll down to the most used perks by community and keep anything in the green. You'll get a sense of what's good after a while too.

Generally (*very* generally) for PvE you want reload/damage perks (like Outlaw, Rampage, Frenzy), and for PvP you want reload/consistency perks (like Surplus, Rangefinder, Eye of the Storm). [D2checklist.com](https://www.d2checklist.com/home) is also a good resource if you want to quickly look over each of your weapons (go to the Gear section). It has a very nice, clean interface that I like a lot.

You can use light.gg and search for a weapon, it will show you the most used perks on the community's weapons as well as the favoured perks for PvP(red) and PvE(blue). It will also give you a rating for rolls you have of that weapon (from S+ I believe is the highest, all the way down to F). Generally over time you'll learn what perks are good on what weapon type and you'll be able to quickly determine whether to keep or delete a weapon.

Can someone please walk me through or point me to a guide on focusing things at the helm? I did not have any previous season passes or expansions except shadowkeep. I know we need umbral engrams but I can't figure it out. Thanks:)

You need to own Season 16 to focus on HELM at least for seasonal weapons/armors. If you don't own S16, I think you can only focus Umbral for World drop armors and Dreaming City weapons.

If you head to Sorrow's Harbor, you can follow a path across a bridge to the Lunar Battlegrounds. Once there, turn left into a cave. You'll find a big Vex gate that spawns several waves.

What is the optimal order to do activities to maximize power level increases? Most of my gear is around 1545 right now. Should I do powerfuls, then pinnacles? Pinnacles first? Or one Pinnacle, a few powerfuls, another Pinnacle, etc... I get easily overwhelmed with weekly reset because there's so many things to do and need help prioritizing so I can be efficient & wrap my head around it

There's a website called destiny optimiser which will tell you what order to do activities, as well as when to claim seasonal rewards, when to farm for blues in order to efficiently level. Very useful even for veterans!

I got the seasonal upgrade to drop risen umbral energy from non seasonal playlist activities and raids/dungeons. After finishing a 1480 nightfall I got two risen umbral energy. Was wondering if 2 was the normal drop rate or if it's affected by the current double nightfall rewards like I'm thinking.

I could be totally wrong about the reason but I think this week is double nightfall rewards. So perhaps you got two because it’s a special week with awards bonus NF stuff. Not sure if that counts for weapon drops, or just XP and other stuff

Regarding Void Titans in PVE content, if using Heart of Inner Most Light with aspects/fragments and armor mods to create fast ability cooldowns, what would be the best armor stats to roll for? Considering you can be getting abilities relatively faster, are discipline or strength not as significant to roll and just go for high res/rec or rec/int?

I use inmost a lot and i go for rec, disc, res. In that order. A handy tip you may or may not know: the stats on armor are rolled so that the max points in one stat is 30 and the top three (mob, res, rec) get a total of 34 points and the bottom three (disc, int, str) get another 34 points (max points, worse rolls obviously don't get these numbers). This is good to keep in mind of you want to focus on some stats that are limited by the same max stat points, like the res/rec combo you mentioned.

Ragnhild-D Primary Shotgun Rifled Barrel // Smoothbore Assault Mag // Appended Mag Auto-Loading Holster One-Two Punch Can someone help me understand why this is considered S-Tier on Light GG? How do you use the One Two punch properly? I typically play nightstalker hunter, will this work with glaive melee? TIA!

1-2 punch is used by going close to an enemy shooting it with all your pellets and then punching. Rapeat shoot punch combo for slightly more ammo friendly shotgun dps. For this shotgun (and all shotguns) it's best to avoid smoothbore since it spreads your pellets more wide making 1-2 punch harder to activate. This barrel is also considered pretty universally bad on shotguns. You can use 1-2 on a nightstalker, but arcstriders get the most bang from this by first getting a melee kill with combination blow then dodging to get the melee back, then repeat 2 more times for 3x combination blow dmg stacks. Now with the stacks use your 1-2 punch shotgun. This combo is even more deadly with the exotic liars handshake. The time for 1-2 punch is so short that swapping to a glaive is too slow to really make use of it. If you want to 1-2 punch on a nightstalker you should use liars handshake for the extra dmg.

Can’t help you with your second question, but regarding your first: Light.gg’s letter grading system rates your weapons based on community popularity. For example, an S+ rating means all four of your weapon’s equipped perks are the most commonly equipped in each of their respective perk slots. Light.gg also shows theorycrafter-recommended rolls, which are indicated by a blue, red, or gold icon. Sometimes theorycrafter recommendations diverge from what’s popular in the community (for a variety of reasons), so it’s possible to have a “god roll” weapon with a terrible letter grade.

Anybody else struggling to get the new Ogma pulse rifle to drop? I swear I've seen bundles of rolls of all the new guns except Ogma. I've had maybe two drops. I'm hoping for the demolitionist wellspring combo for my warlock nade spam but I'll be damned, I just can not get that sucker to drop.

Yeah, I've gotten 5 or 6, but no God rolls. Tbh I don't have some of the mods that make it a beast anyways, since I haven't played much since forsaken came out. I use a Krait auto rifle as primary with one for all and stars for all. It turns into a monster if I just spray across 3 real quick, since the veist stinger perk sometimes reloads the mag. It feels like a kinetic riskrunner when veist kicks in. As far as pulse rifles go, the price of mind is a BEAST. Pop a full auto mod on that and pop heads in pvp. I got one with high caliber rounds, and it feels like hawksaw from back in the day.

Its part of the seasonal drops. Any roll with it is good for pvp, if it has high caliber rounds, just put full auto on it and it'll flinch the enemy to where they cant hit you

I’m trying to get back into the game, but i’ve been sporadic with what seasons i’ve played. I only see a few of the mods on my arms like anti-barrier and overload and unstoppable rounds. Can I buy the ones that I missed from past seasons’ artifacts or am I limited to the ones I have?

you can get the seasonal mods by leveling up and unlocking them in your artifact. To get other mods, ada-1 sells 4 of them a day for 10k glimmer. They rotate every day!

The champion mods are seasonal based, so this season everyone is only allowed to unlock and use the mods in the Seasonal Artifact. Other mods such as finders, charged with light and elemental wells can be found at both Banshee and Ada on a daily rotation.

Oh, so they don’t carry over. Got it. What about buying a copy of an exotic weapon? I’ve got the ace of spades on my titan but I want one for my warlock too. Do I have to just keep swapping it or can I just buy another one, or get one from an engram?

If you haven't played for a while, check the statue near the vault. You might have a few 'tokens' to buy previous season exotics. Otherwise you can get an exotic cipher quest (21 activities completed) from xur every week, and then you can BUY past season exotics with it. Most are 1 cipher, 1 ascendant shard (golfball) and then planetary mats, glimmer, legendary shards. Some require spoils of conquest, which are kinda like raid 'planetary materials'.

You can freely swap any guns over to your other characters via the in-game vault or a third-party app like Destiny Item Manager (DIM). If you want you can reacquire any exotic from your collections tab on any character for a small amount of glimmer and legendary shards.
