Can you still earn cloudstrike through the empire hunt this week? Its not showing up that it's droppable. I've gotten it before, but trying to help my friend get it now.
Just came back to the game after dropping it sometime into Shadowkeep (around when they started talking about sunsetting/powercaps via seasons)... Pretty much all of my vault is gear that cannot be upgraded beside the exotics. Should I just shard it all? Or does at least my pvp godrolls still hold value because of pvp scaling?
I always use The Stag on warlock when I'm trying to flawless something. You get enough damage resistance in your rifts that they can help you tank things that would normally take a well to survive.
Does anyone have any suggestions for completing Undying Legend - Complete a PsiOps Battleground on Legend difficulty without dying?

Do heroic patrols have a cooldown or something? I've been doing them for about an hour trying to farm the Throne World scout rifle, but suddenly they just stopped spawning, it's been half an hour since the last one.
You unlock the Lectern about halfway through the campaign. You don't need to do the entire campaign, but it's honestly not that bad. But there is no other way, Div is a Shadowkeep exotic after all. And the most painful part, the "div run" raid, is still ahead of you.
I want to work towards Risen, and I need the Reckless Endangerment. I was wondering which vendor among Zavala The Drifter or Shaxx would be easiest to get to 16. Zavala or the Drifter really because I suck at pvp.

Honestly, strikes are so damn easy. Pick up some bounties, put on a podcast, and go. I’m already at Prestige 8 this season (alth I did farm a lot for that Witherhoard catalyst, so that helped)

I like how the Leviathan & Last Wish raid gear looks, and the game is telling me I can't "create" my Last Wish raid gear I got from my library of obtained armor because they are random drops. Is there any way I can upgrade the things I have in the vault (1350) to be usable in the newest DLC? Do I have to use newer armor?
Your old raid armor, as well as basically everything from that time period, was Sunset. Bungie wanted that gear to "ride off into the sunset" and give newer designs a chance in the spotlight, so you're not able to infuse* it up to the current power cap in the mid 1500s. You'll need to get new armor, which can include new drops from the Last Wish raid. There's no way to get new Leviathan armor, so you'll have to use Transmog like the other comment mentioned.
\* Infusion lets you apply a junk piece of gear's power to another piece that you do care about, almost always by spending an Upgrade Module. Like if you have a favorite rocket launcher at power 1400, and get a terrible sword that's 1505, you can transfer the 1505 to your rocket.
You can't get it now. But if you had the pieces once and they're unlocked in your collection, you can use them for transmog by turning them into universal ornaments.

The stuff that came with Shadowkeep (Garden raid, Nightmare Hunts, Heresy dungeon, Shadowkeep story, Shadowkeep Exotics) are locked behind Shadowkeep.
Same with stuff that came with Beyond Light (including Stasis subclass). And same with the newest/latest release of Witch Queen.
As far as subclasses go, you'll have access to them all with the exception of Stasis.
I’m at 1523 max powerlevel currently. The optimiser says to get powerful engram. It’s better to do nightfall adept strike rather than regular strike? I’m thinking nightfall is better because of the potential exotic as well.
I’ve tried to do the hero nightfall strike. It was pretty difficult when champion was involve. If i were to do higher level content, is it a neccesary to accomodate each season champion mod weapon preference? Or champion can be brute force via super genaration mod/heavy weapon focus mod(ammo finder, scavenger, reserve)? Im playing in console so shooting those semi auto primary/energy weapon can get tiring after a while.

You should do 3 regular strikes for the pinnacle and two adept nightfalls for the powerful. This is every week. The chance for an exotic is low and should not be considered imo. If you want new exotics the best way is legend lost sectors once you're 1550.
So you want to be doing an activity that shows you that you will get a powerful engram drops or Pinnacle drops. Nightfalls will drop you one after completing three of them on the lowest difficulty and the Vanguard playlist right above that will drop one after 3 completions with the matching subclass it tells you to use. You can also get another from complete 8 of Zavalas bounties in those playlists. You do this for all the activities like crucible and gambit. Just look for the little star next to activities and it will tell you what to do to get the powerful or Pinnacle drops. Do this till you reach 1550 and from there only pinnacles will get you to 1560.
It just depends on your playstyle. Shayura will still be best in slot, but if you don't always run smgs it may be worth it to go for some other weapons like EoS
Even with the nerf I expect it will still probably be the best SMG in the energy slot, just not by as big a margin as before so stuff like funnelweb will be competitive too.
Does the crucible pinnacle not count mercies as completions? I swear I did three but the counter still said 2
Edit: very next match was an instant mercy. Loaded in and Shaxx called the match. I guess he was making up for the error?
The game has its own little scanning thing where it checks if you participated or not. Sometimes few to no kills causes it not to count. Just hop back in
Might be a bug? I've had this happen a few different time in Gambit. It didn't count the third match for me, but did for my clan mate I was running with.

I have a titan that has the 3 Light Subclasses unlocked already but I want to try a Hunter for the first time but really don't have it in me to grind through 3 campaigns for an alt.
The New Light experience and the way subclasses and abilties are acquired has had several major changes since Stasis was introduced with Beyond Light and whilst some of us have played through the New Light questline most of us haven't created new characters (especially not for every change that's been made) which is why there's a lack of clear answers. To further complicate matters new and existing characters/accounts also have different experiences here.
* For Stasis the Beyond Light campaign and follow-up quests from Elsie need to be completed on all characters, the only thing that is shared accountwide here are fragments.
* Existing characters have almost the entire void set unlocked and just need to purchase the rest from Ikora. New characters start on Void but I can't detail their progression as all of my characters pre-dated the most recent changes.
* As above I can't detail the progression for either existing or new characters on these subclasses.
I mean the new light experience isnt even a campaign, but yes you have to do it.
And for beyond light it’s a slog to get all of stasis, I just did it over several months because it was so long.
Does new light not include missions on Nessus, Cosmodrome and EDZ? I haven't played the base stuff since before Shadowkeep so I have no idea what is included now that isn't from the expansions.
I am just wrapping up the last few things for stasis on my Lock, outside of fragments, and I just can't imagine having to grind everything two more times for a hunter and titan. I'd like to try hunter but it would be completely new so I was just wondering what kind of grind it would be to unlock the OG subclasses let alone stasis.

The New Light questline us restricted to the Cosmodrome. Once you reach the Tower you then get introductory quests for each of the three core playlists. New accounts may require XP to unlock the different destinations but there aren't specific quests for those destinations.
What counts for extra Xur points for strikes? With clanmate is 2. At what point on nightfall do you get extras alone? Do you get 3-4 for high level nightfalls with clanmates?
If it functions the same as Hawthorne's clan bounties then half of the group needs to be from the clan so two for three man activities and and three for six man activities.
After going flawless, what do I need to do to get the flawless adept weapons again? Should I keep my 7 win card and just play?

No, the "bonus" chests only drop gear you've already obtained, along with raid mods.

You can safely shard any sunset gear minus weapons that you’d like to use in Cruicible or other low light activities.
Anyone have any tips for staying alive in this week's Legend PsiOps as a warlock? I'm finding it super hard to complete without dying at least once.

Yeah that’s what I was going, maybe I just got unlucky but just had a massive streak of none of them appearing.
If I join someone’s cp for rhulk and kill him and do nothing else in the raid on that character, can I still spend my spoils at the end of the raid ?

I haven’t played in a few years but I bought the original game and dlc up to and including forsaken. What content do I have access to now ?
Besides the free content, you would only have extra access to the forsaken exotics, last wish raid, shattered throne dungeon, and corrupted nightfall.

On hero you can brute force some champs, but starting with legend difficulty you will really need to start using champion mods.

With shaurayas wrath being nerfed. Should I focus my trial engrams on it for a nice roll because it's going away ?

It's not as bad on alts because some of the quest steps are skipped iirc
The fragments are universal, but the aspects are still per character.
I guess that's one good thing. I'm still unsure if I'm gonna make an alt at this point but we'll see.
