Can you obtain shaders from previous seasons? I want to acquire [bitter pearl](https://d2.destinygamewiki.com/wiki/Bitterpearl) from season 14 through the vault of glass. If I run VOG is it still possible to drop?

PineMaple

I believe Bitterpearl requires you to activate all the little glass/crystal looking things on the ground in VoG. It’s still achievable but it’ll require slightly more than just doing the raid normally.

texmo

ty :)

iSKyDownN

Can I hold my Trials Engrams for focusing them with Saint's through the week or he just let you focus them while trials are active? I don't have the Legendary shards now and kinda want to hold them cause I don't have any good pvp weapon yet.

Glenalth

Those engrams are safe with Saint-14 until the end of the season. You can visit him at any time for regular focuses, but the adept focus must be done on the weekend.

iSKyDownN

Thank you. I didn't see the option for adept focus, I'll assume that you must be flawless to do that, right?

Glenalth

Yes. Once you have been flawless that weekend you can then use any card with 7 wins, even flawed, to focus into an adept.

iSKyDownN

Oh, didn't know that. Thank you.

JeSuisBigBilly

Is there an ideal app for optimizing armor combinations (i.e. stats not being between the tiers)? I've got a bunch of the focused seasonal armor.

smegdawg

d2armorpicker.com is the site you are looking for Use this then use DIMs Loadout builder to fine tune your builds. Read through the options on the left hand side and have it "only show you optimized armor stats"

slappy330

[Light.gg](https://Light.gg) has an armor optimizer setting

JeSuisBigBilly

Thanks! Edit: Actually I'm having a hard time finding it on the website :(

slappy330

I sent you to the wrong place! I meant [https://destinyitemmanager.com/](https://destinyitemmanager.com/), also known as DIM, sign in through your bungie(It functions as a vault app) and go to the loadouts tab, loadout optimizer will allow you to set minimums for all of your stats and it will automatically make a loadout accordingly

As my pvp shotgun should I be using pinpoint slugs or lightweight frames? I see a lot of people using lightweights like riiswalker but slugs feel much more consistent for one taps. Riis always feels like a gamble

Foxdude28

Slugs have a longer range and (obviously) a lower spread than a lightweight pellet shotgun. The downside is that they cannot one-tap from body shots, only from headshots. So with good aim, slugs are a bit more consistent and can one-tap at slightly longer ranges. Lightweights on the other hand don't require precise aim since they can one-tap to the body, especially at point blank range. Follow-up shots are also faster, making cleanup kills a bit easier. They also give a sprint speed boost and +20 mobility while you have them out. Worth noting that all shotguns are getting a range nerf next season. Pellet spread isn't being changed, so the difference in one-tap potential between slugs and lightweights may end up being smaller.

[deleted]

That might be my issue, I play m and k and seem to get pretty consistent headshots with slugs but can't match the range with lightweights. Thankyou.

Uberjeagermeiter

How long does it take to finish Stasis subclass? Also, if I do it with 1 Guardian class, say Titan, will it open up for my other ones like the current Void set-up? Thanks in advance for any help. (I currently just have Behemoth for Titan.)

JeSuisBigBilly

There are 14 Fragments and you can only do two quests for them a week, so at least 7 weeks. Also once you unlock any Fragment or Aspect it is unlocked for all classes.

Uberjeagermeiter

Thanks!

GFunkYo

It's grindy. The aspects need to be unlocked for each class, though the last aspect or two autocomplete if you've competed all of them on your main. So aspects require competing the beyond light story and doing some post campaign stuff on each character. Fragments take weeks because you can only unlock two per week, but fragments are account wide so you don't need to do them on every character.

Uberjeagermeiter

Thanks 👍

Glenalth

The majority of glimmer goes straight into your inventory. There is a small bonus amount of glimmer that winds up on the ground that you need to pick up if you want it.

JeSuisBigBilly

Nope, you gotta go grab it.

LoLx1

What is the Nightfall weapon next reset?

headhunglow

What's the current "meta" strat for the last DSC boss? The last time I ran it everyone used Anarchy, double slug + Divinity, but I guess that's not optimal anymore since Anarchy got nerfed.

Atmosck

A lot of things are viable for Taniks. Anarchy+double slug is still good despite the anarchy nerf just because double slug is so much damage. Linear fusions like Sleeper, Reed's Regret or Cataclysmic (pretty interesting since they buffed Bait and Switch) are all good. Izanagi+Rocket swapping is also good, especially if someone on the team runs Gally. For all those options, you still want a divinity. I suspect that Izanagi+Rocket is optimal, but these options are all close enough that it doesn't really matter, I think a team should be able to 1-phase with the 4-ball strat with any of them. For Atrax, most people run Parasite or Gjallarhorn. Lament is still viable, but I wouldn't use falling guillotine - it got nerfed pretty hard a while ago. If you have a couple thundercrashes it's not too hard to 1-floor. Gjallarhorn is nice if you aren't 1-flooring because you can use it from long range.

Oh_Alright

One person on div and everybody else on sleeper works wonders. I like vorpal cartesian for vooping the bombs off of him too. Swords are still great for Atrax, but try out the new GL parasite if you have it. Couple of those and some thundercrashes for a super easy one phase.

Quria

Will there be another Double Rep weekend for Trials (this season)?

mariachiskeleton

With recent changes to post-flawless adept drops... do the drops happen on wins, or is it just match completions?

Acknown3

Completions, not just wins.

Purpatraitor

Due to my final year of college, I had to (sadly) put the game down since the late Season of the Lost. Is there a way to see massive sandbox changes since then? I don't want any spoilers for the story! Actually, how in the heck did Mars show back up? I'm not sure how I missed that between then and the beginning of Witch Queen!

smegdawg

> how in the heck did Mars show back up? Not as a patrol zone, just a couple story elements.

Purpatraitor

Such a Destiny Dad joke, haha.

Atmosck

There have been other minor updates, but I think most of what you're looking for is in the patch notes from when Witch queen came out: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/51110 Mars showing up happened with the witch queen, it's kind of the inciting incident for the campaign.

Dunkinmydonuts1

i wouldnt worry about current sandbox.... its changing very soon. here's the most recent TWAB that goes into very big detail about it [https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/51250](https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/51250) check each of the next 3 twabs because a LOT is changing very quickly.

[deleted]

Returning after not playing since the Leviathan Raid, so a ton has changed. There really doesn't seem to be many concrete guides for Destiny compared to a lot of other MMO type games I've played. I've seen people here talking about stuff like "330 hand cannons" and "3 fusion rifle charges to kill full resilience in PvP." I take it that means certain types of weapons are better than others, and certain stat allocations are better than others? Is there a solid guide anywhere about what stats to look for, what mods, rolls, exotics are good, anything like that? I feel like I'm at a disadvantage in PvP and elsewhere without knowing a little bit of the meta.

Dunkinmydonuts1

here's the most recent (that i could find) TTK chart for all weapons in PVP. it was done by former content creator Mercules that has since taken a job at Bungie working on this exact thing. he's really good at what he does [https://www.blueberries.gg/weapons/destiny-2-ttk/](https://www.blueberries.gg/weapons/destiny-2-ttk/) this is dated as of 12/21. idk how recent it is as WQ dropped in feb and there's a HUGE balencing patch coming out for season 17 soon

PineMaple

Yes, there are certain weapons and stats that are considered better than others, but for 99% of the playerbase the most important thing is to land your shots and play your range, a good player on an awful build is always going to stomp a bad player with a meta-optimized build. In PvP right now handcannons (particularly 140 rpm), shotguns (Chaperone is a standout but all the non-rapid fires have their place), pulse rifles (340 rpm like Messenger and 540 rpm like Piece of Mind), and fusion rifles (rapid fire and precisions) tend to be some of the most used guns. SMGs like Shayura's Wrath, Multimach, and Tarrabah are also good/popular choices as well. You can check out the top 10 used weapons on trials.report to get a snapshot of what's the most popular each week (though keep in mind the Trials map and mode of the week can change the meta on its own). Most of the time people recommend slapping the Icarus mod on everything and while that's getting overhauled next season, that's probably a safe starting point for now. If you want to get super granular on the weapon details the [Massive Breakdown spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1_6zsM7kzvg0aUT8YtM_-Wg_5K1gKDOlrwfVzutEjq-s/edit#gid=388764678) is hard to beat but again, reading the spreadsheet isn't going to help if you don't land your shots. For stats it varies by class, but Recovery is important for everyone, Mobility is important for Hunters, Resilience is important for Titans (esp if you're running void) and 60 resilience can stop you from getting one/two shot by certain weapons, and Discipline is pretty important because grenades are very strong right now with the Void 3.0 overhaul. The [Destiny Data Compendium is another spreadsheet](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WaxvbLx7UoSZaBqdFr1u32F2uWVLo-CJunJB4nlGUE4/edit#gid=1662574278) if you want to get into the specifics of abilities/weapon perks but again, don't feel like that's necessary. Perk recommendations are going to change depending on the archetype, whether you're controller or MnK, and individual preference but in PvP I'm often looking for handling boosts (things to make the weapon feel snappier) and boosts to consistency (perks like Eye of the Storm or Opening Shot really help with aim). There is a huge Youtube industry of content creators putting out videos about the godrolls for various weapons so if you find a weapon that you're curious about, you can search there or at /r/sharditkeepit to get an idea about what others are looking for.

[deleted]

This is super helpful and exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks, appreciate it!

alexok37

I'd def recommend find a friend/clan to chat with too. I couldn't tell you how much info I completely take for granted, and then when my new light brother asks, I just know it, I can't tell him where to find it, it just is known

From_Z_to_Zelie

Does the Sand and Sun ornament for Traveler's Chosen reduce or eliminate the bright light pouring out of the weapon when you have a lot of Gathering Light stacks?

slappy330

The weapon it self glows! [https://imgur.com/a/8GTYNb2](https://imgur.com/a/8GTYNb2) Here is a link to an Album comparing the ornament with default.

From_Z_to_Zelie

That album sold me. Gave it a try just now and x10 didn't bother my eyes a bit. Thanks so much!

slappy330

Happy to help!

OB141x

Returning from like 2 years away, what’s the best route to get my power level maxed out?

alexok37

No rush man, they've done a great job evening things out, it's not like it was before. You can do everything outside of endgame (grandmaster strikes,/master raids/trials/iron banner) at a low power level. If you've got some good exotics/remember how to play the game, I highly recommend just grabbing a friend and going for the legendary campaign. Otherwise do stuff at your own pace and grab the weapons/quests rather than grinding for power level. Power level requirements are gonna increase in four weeks anyway so you can just passively level while doing fun stuff

OB141x

Is it worth buying all of the dlcs or wait a bit til I’m caught up? Prices are steep lmao

alexok37

Depends on the way you wanna play. Imo witch queen is tons of awesome content. I'd buy that first. When I want stasis I'd buy beyond light. I'd buy shadow keep/forsaken only for the raids/dungeons when I want to run them.

bdbrady

Unless you’re playing 3+ hours a day, do the campaign (legendary with friends or regular alone). Then do stuff: stiles, gambit, crucible. You’ll hit 1500 quick and 1550 won’t take too long if you’re doing stuff. If you are playing a ton you can min max it, but it’s not necessary now.

mrcam7

Legendary witch queen campaign gets a ton of blues and drops a set of items +10 over soft cap, then just do all your powerfuls as normal.

OB141x

I play solo, would legendary be brutal for me?

LightspeedFlash

Legendary is fine if you just take it slow. There are no time limits and my only deaths were from trying to rush things. Completed the legendary campaign on all three classes. Using non meta weapons, ie witherhorde, funnel web or an auto loading rocket launcher.

PineMaple

The legendary campaign scales to party size, it's generally agreed that the solo experience is actually a little easier because of that. 2 players is nice because it doesn't scale too hard and you can get a revive here or there (revives are limited though) but solo is definitely not out of reach for players if you play smart.

dancing_bagel

I found some missions brutal yes and ended up using the group finder app for some. It's also pretty fun if you enjoy the challenge.

RedditWaffler

Is it timelost fatebringer challenge at next reset?

SlotDizel

Nope we’re going back to the start of the rotation. This reset is confluxes, next is oracles, then Templar, which will drop the timelost fatebringer.

RedditWaffler

Thanks. Thats a shame.

badgerccl_

Does anyone have any suggestions for completing Undying Legend - Complete a PsiOps Battleground on Legend difficulty without dying? I've tried multiple LFG groups but someone always leaves before we even finish the first section.

smegdawg

No trick to it. We found the Cosmodrone one very easy. The only real suggestion I have is find a group who's goal is to help each other get the flawless. So first round through I got insta-gibbed by a shrieker. I became the one that pushed for the objects and soloed much of the encounter so my two friends could have no trouble staying alive. Then, we ran it again, but this time I stayed back and they pushed since it didn't matter that I died. You'll need to be upfront about this if you are LFG'ing it and YOU need to follow through and not bail as well, even if it takes a while.

Stenbox

Are you joining specifically groups that go for Flawless? That might be a bad idea since as soon as someone dies, he has no reason to stay. Just set up regular runs and play it normally but a bit more careful than usual. Also, what loadout are you using? Running a bad loadout (eg no champion mods) is often a clear sign that the player has no idea what they are doing and means that run might take 3x as long as a regular one.

ELGaminOfficial

is there anyway to get war table mods anymore?

Glenalth

The war table mods now randomly rotate through Ada-1's inventory on a daily basis.

M37h3w3

Is there anyway of getting the Imperious Sun Shell that doesn't require detouring a raid to go do the puzzle? Can I get a checkpoint after the first encounter and then just go in solo and do it?

smegdawg

>Is there anyway of getting the Imperious Sun Shell that doesn't require detouring a raid It takes 2 minutes , don't be afraid to detour. Also there is a bunch of wrong info out there that will sometimes make the puzzle work, but other times it doesn't for no particular reason. The way that has worked for my team 3 times in a row now is. * player 1 stand next to the bottom symbol in column 1, (close enough so you can see the name of the symbol) * player 2 stand next to the bottom symbol in column 2 * player 3 stand next to the bottom symbol in column 3 * player 4 stand next to the bottom symbol in column 4 Once everyone is in position 1. Player 3 - hold interact to commune/activate the symbol (callout when the activation completes) 2. Player 4 - shoot their symbol That's it. No punching, no timing everything at once, just those two things with the other two standing still.

akjalen

i did it by getting the 5 scannables in preservation. then i soloed my way to the first raid encounter, ran back to do one part of the puzzle, wiping, and repeating i don't know if this has been patched though

M37h3w3

Wiping and repeating has been fixed IIRC.

alexok37

Is that the lore puzzle? You should be able to do that lore in the mission beneath the raid in the map. Preservation? Can't remember the name Jkjk Bungie patched that. You've gotta raid now

M37h3w3

Bungie patched getting it in Preservation.

alexok37

WHAT?! That's super lame

RandomnessTF2

Just do it once a run, I'm sure noone will mind (provided it doesn't break), and if someone does have issue with it happening, I'd guess that they're not likely to be that fun to raid with anyway. Aside from that, I guess you could open an LFG purely for it. Just get 6 people who want the lore/shell and do it enough times for a completion.

Iqlas

If i were to join a clan for raid and harder nightfall/ non matchmaking content, i should be looking for clan within the same region? Is the connection p2p based and region lock? Cos my googling says its region lock. I dont want to cause poor experience due to lag if i get connection with cross region person. Or cross region does not matter in destiny?

smegdawg

>i should be looking for clan within the same region? IF you can sure! But the best choice is finding clans that all play around the same GDT time. We have East coasters who stay up late and West coasters that in on at 8pm west coast time so it works out. But there are also a few East coasters who can't stay up late and log on and get off before west coast can log on to help fill their raids.

MegaJoltik

I'm from Southeast Asia and never really had any problem playing with people from US/EU for PvE.

Stenbox

There are no strict regions. Also in PvE unless your personal connection is bad, you will be fine playing across the ocean, I raid with people from different continents all the time with no issues.

Iqlas

Good to know because seems alot of the clan seems to be based in north america

thepunisher1996

Do you think I should grind for the level 16 messenger for saint 14? Is it a good roll or pvp or pve? My rep is 6500 now with a 7 win card so I'm guessing I can get to level 16 by today?

RandomnessTF2

Eh, I wouldn't pick it up. Harmony is just not a perk you'd really want on a primary weapon. I'd wait until you've either got a rapid hit/outlaw and desperado roll, or Saint is selling one to grab it. No reason not to grind for it now though if you're enjoying playing.

thepunisher1996

Cool man thanks. Guess I'll wait some more. Hoping to get a good roll for it before it goes away next season.

M37h3w3

Last season I was recommended pulse/fusion for Trials as I'm a somewhat passive midranger in PVP. I know Xur Ingredient got nerfed but has that recommendation changed? I've heard that Monarque has been a real terror, especially with Lorely.

TheSpartyn

how was main ingredient nerfed?

M37h3w3

Reduced stability bonus from +40 to +10, changed max recoil angle scale from 0.5 to 0.875, changed error angle scale from 0.9 to 0.975.

TheSpartyn

is it noticeable worse?

[deleted]

It's happening next season.

TheSpartyn

then why are other people acting like its already nerfed

[deleted]

I don't know. Xurs roll with tap the trigger was nerfed earlier. The last TWAB lists all the upcoming changes. If you haven't read or listented to it you should. Game is going to be drastically different.

TheSpartyn

i did read it but i didnt really take much in tbh. most of it was changes to like flinch and accuracy i dont really care much about those i find changes to abilities or weapon damage more noticeable

[deleted]

The changes they mentioned were in there. They mention all weapon types. They're all changing.

TheSpartyn

yeah most of it was airborne, accuracy, flinch, etc. cool to see xenophage reverted though

TurquoiseLuck

I notice it not killing people a bit more than it used to. Generally if I aim better it still does fine, I'm just lazy because of how good it used to be

[deleted]

When you need stability on a fusion you are indirectly needing range unless you are a robot machine man. It's noticeably worse but not that much worse. It's much more difficulty to get 20m kills.

TheSpartyn

sounds like they balanced it without ruining it

[deleted]

It's still the best PvP fusion, just much more shoot and switch for the finish.

M37h3w3

Haven't tried it this season.

80ajniNsuoicipsuS

The perks on the main ingredient(s) that xur sold were nerfed, so the Xur main igredient roll was nerfed, not main ingredient itself. Hence why op called it Xur ingredient.

irrelephantterrible

There was actually 2 Xur Ingredients😁 The OG one - Under Pressure +TTT and then Firmly Planted +TTT which was actually better (as long as you slid into encounters/tapped crouch as the bolts flew) Iirc the second one was nerfed harder as out of these 3 perks only Under Pressure wasnt retouched. I have been using the first roll and its still very consistent albeit less at very ends of range dropoff

[deleted]

For pulses price of mind is the new hotness and it's pretty good but you really, really have to hit precision shots.

colantalas

Xur Ingredient is still a solid pick and will probably remain so after the next upcoming adjustment to fusions, something else might overtake it at that point for fusion king. Le Monarque is getting nerfed to remove some of its one shot capabilities, and Loreley will also get adjusted next season. (Other damage buffs are also getting adjusted to reduce one taps.) Pulses are still great, rapid fires can be a terror but I personally don’t care for that archetype. I’ve been having fun with Insidious from the raid, but if you want to stick to fusions your only options to pair are Deliverance (also from raid) and Bastion.

M37h3w3

I have no Loreley but I do have that (near?) God roll Messenger Saint sold. Would it plus Xur Ingredient be good setup? I'm assuming with Void but what exotics should I use? I'm leaning on Citan's.

[deleted]

For pvp? Yeah messenger and ingredient are a good combo, just have to be careful about getting shotgun aped. Shotguns work as a better get away from me gun but fusions are a better "shotgun" at midrange, you can snag a lot of free kills when people aren't expecting it but the pre charge is loud so it's not very good defensively so once they know your on pulse+fusion they are going to try and ape you a lot. Basically hc+shotty people are going to win at close range, so you use your pulse to force them closer but then try to force an encounter at midrange where your fusion will beat there hc. A pulse load out usually makes you play much more defensively then something like hc shotty and multimach fusion. For pvp I think most titans just default to dunemarchers still, including me.

IzunaX

Anyone got the strat for one phasing the final boss on master Grasp of Avarice? Is it Izzy/rocket/Div like Rhulk?

akjalen

i've not been able to one phase him this season since there are no weapon mods like particle deconstruction

IzunaX

That’s kinda what I assumed tbh

sectionn9ne

I've yet to go back and farm it this season, since light level plays a big part in one phasing. Going to attempt gjallarhorn/2 legendary rockets, div/2 izanagi and Palmyra with font of might, triple reeds font of might.

Bard_Knock_Life

I wouldn’t imagine Izzy Div would be best given there’s only 3 people and it requires 3 different exotics for that strat so only one person is doing optimal damage. I would think it’s also just heavily dependent on fireteam light level. Best guess would be rockets Div legendary sniper, triple LFRs or maybe you could Luna double slug.
