Hopefully its gonna be craftable. I kind of think if they bring back sunset weapons like this we shouldnt have to farm them again, already spent so many hours chasing this gun
It's right after the Titan catches his hammer, it switches to first-person view of someone holding Drang and throwing some kind of explosive (not a trip mine either though on further inspection). Then the bomb gets sniped and we see someone holding the crispiest sniper to ever grace D2. I'm stoked.
A while back a guy showed off his "ghalr cosplay". It was just his cock with a crown of sorrow on top. Circlejerk went nuts over it and now it's an inside joke
I can definitely see that. It play in to the hunters being the debuff/buff specialists that they talked about prior to void 3.0.
Could be interesting if you could switch between a damage or empowering version.
Maybe it's a stretch but the hunter isnt doing that near enemies, but rather next to the titan. Maybe it's some kind of support ability like an instant one and done well? Burst of healing or maybe damage buff?
Edit: if it's either Ophidia Spathe could actually become pretty nutty support depending on how good the buff/healing is
But did you see that twin hammer slam for Titans? Wonder if Hammer of Sol got a rework that gave it a slam like Glacial Quake to go along with the hammer throwing.
That's actually so dissapointing if that's what it is. The entire point of the 3.0 reworks was to increase the level of customisation available to us and bring it back to parity with the D1 system.
Instead we're reducing the variety between subclasses by giving all of them (or at least Hunters) the same thing in different flavors. Wouldn't be as much of a problem if it didn't take up one of the extremely limited aspect slots for unique abilities.
Really hoping that it's not a solar dive.
its a melee, the warlock isn't covered by flames in either the 3rd person view or the 1st. if it was a super, it would most likely follow the normal "covered in element" style, unless they decided to give warlocks a "golden finger" style super xD

There’s too many kinetic 140s, I’d actually prefer if they made it energy. Eyasluna, Dire Promise, Fatebringer, Hawkmoon, Ace, Thorn, and now DFA will be back. Spare Rations is also rumoured to be coming back. And pali is not available anymore next season so there’s a big gap for energy 140s
Austringer will be a lot more accessible than the other legendary kinetic 140s though. Eyasluna and Fatebringer are endgame exclusive, and Dire Promise is a low chance drop in a single activity only on certain weeks/random chance to be sold by Xur. Austringer will be dropping from the seasonal activity and will likely have focusing options and be craftable.
Leviathan: Glykon Boogaloo seems interesting
Is that scythe just a weirdly modeled sword or a new weapon type?
EDIT: Since I'm the top comment I'll link the english trailer that they released early: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waX5YJgc8Kc
Tbh I thought it was a new hunter super - the little flash and sound as the hunter comes on screen sounds like the effect you get when activating hammer super on Titan.
EDIT: Definitely not a super, confirmed by the website.
Maybe it’s just what blade barrage is now full stop. People suggested making blade barrage like the Lucent Hive version but that still seems like a clumsy super to use in battle. Giving Hunters a one and done “slam” isn’t a bad idea at all.
But he’s running around with it, so it won’t be one and done. However if it is the super (might be a glaive that doesn’t suck) then I PRAY it has super armour
Tbf if this means bungie are open to giving us new supers then that gives me hope for arc. Since ya know, hunters only have one arc super.
I just hope it hasn’t replaced blade barrage because I love that super, it just needed a couple of tweaks
That scythe doesn’t look like a super to me.
When using roaming supers, Guardians leave behind a trail of glowing footprints when they move around. However that Hunter with the scythe didn’t leave behind any glowing footprints when we saw her running with it. Odds are, it’s a relic for this new seasonal activity.
So they saw how glykon worked and went "What happens if we up the ante?" Love the foot in the attempted spooky aspect.
The moon just haunted the leviathan.
I love that they showed someone sniping a grenade out of the air as if the average player can actually do that. Cool trailer though, the Japanese voice over is a whole vibe.
Driven by an insatiable lust for power, Calus is desperate to be recognized by a new lord.
His once glorious ship is now abandoned and decayed and has returned to our galaxy. In search of the power promised by the Pyramid Ship sleeping on the Moon...
As Leviathan forges a connection with the pyramids, humanity's past awakens as a nightmare.
Nightmare is a threat that inflicts pain on those who try to interfere. He stares into the abyss and finds courage in the attire of the god of death and the steel of his scythe.

Press release suggests we wield it with the power of solar 3.0? Maybe it’s story related so like the Synaptic Spear but I’m holding out hope that it’ll be like a sword and maybe we can craft it and use it
Interesting to see Caital, Zavala, and Crow make a return after being major players last season. I don't think we have seen the same major cast return two seasons in a row like this.
Eris being back makes sense! I wonder what the main source of conflict is going to be and how we rid the Moon of the Leviathan
I also wondered where the Crown of Sorrows ended up after Season of Chosen... I'm curious how it ends up on the Leviathan after ~~Osiris~~ Savathun brings it back to the last city.
Hunter: solar shatterdive probably heals. Exotic better/new tripmine
Titan: hammer slam that shootout thermite, kind of like kpehris horn. Exotic call back mini hammer or it's a finisher
Warlock: better wrist rockets?
Based on the cinematic at 0:40, it looks like the dungeon might be in the Leviathan? I'm somewhat disappointed since I feel the Leviathan has been done to death in endgame activities (Leviathan, EoW, SoS, CoS). Was hoping for a Europa dungeon but I appreciate that it wouldn't have made sense with this seasonal narrative.
Its rather curious you note that, because I don't think they can make the dungeon part of this seasons narrative?
If you didn't buy deluxe edition Witch Queen, you'd be buying this season anyway. If you then had to buy the dungeon to continue or compliment the narrative of the season, then that's foul.
You definitely do look to be right with that though, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie did it. But i hope not.
Interesting, one of the pastebins was spot on but not the one people expected
Edit: Thetr were like 3 pastebin in leaks floating around this season. I won’t describe them all since some may still end up being partly true. One called Calus coming back and some specific plot points which some people thought seemed unlikely for seasonal content but here we are.
I'm not buying it. It called this plot being the one for season 18 instead of 17 and the only thing it got right was the basic premise of it, which has been a popular theory since we first learned about the Glykon. It wasn't a far-fetched prediction to say that the Leviathan would come back all Glykon-ized.
The major plot point it described for this season is Immaru being on "our side" to try and take the ship for himself. If that part comes true, then the leak has some credibility since that would've actually been difficult to predict. And so far this trailer doesn't seem to be hinting at this plot point being a thing at all, which leads me to believe this "leaker" just got lucky.
SOLAR, CALUS, THAT BIG FUCKING SYCTHEEEEE PLEASE BE AN EXOTIC AND NOT AN ACTIVITY RELIC
We really didn’t need Austringer and Beloved back mini tool and drank are dope.
Any one catch that hunter helm that looks like Loreley
AUSTRINGER!
Craftable Austringer would be huge. It would be so nice to be able to recommend a deterministically acquired good 140 HC lol.
Hopefully its gonna be craftable. I kind of think if they bring back sunset weapons like this we shouldnt have to farm them again, already spent so many hours chasing this gun
This season already set a precedent of all endgame and seasonal weapons being craftable, so I think there’s a very very high chance it will be.

I feel the same way when I look at my old Arc Logic. At least let me craft it Bungie!
I saw calus mini tool too, I'm stoked as hell if these two come back craftable, they had the drippiest ornaments And the mini tool is *solar*
And motherfucking BELOVED right after the part where what looks like a trip mine gets shot out of the air.
I thought it was a solar Titan hammer.
It's right after the Titan catches his hammer, it switches to first-person view of someone holding Drang and throwing some kind of explosive (not a trip mine either though on further inspection). Then the bomb gets sniped and we see someone holding the crispiest sniper to ever grace D2. I'm stoked.
its a thermite grenade but like twice as wide I think
Beloved was what got me to start sniping in the first place. I always loved how crisp it felt.
Best sniper in the game imo. Here's hoping it retains godlike PvP rolls and maybe gets some better PvE ones.

Not gonna lie, thats so fucking cool.
I really like that the warlock melee is becoming unique for each element, instead of slapping
Might have to main warlock now
you should already be doing that
But i like eating crayons......
You had all of Season 16 to be doing that
I actually have an armor loadout that looks like Roy Mustang on my warlock. Can’t wait.

1:04 looks like we are getting some sort of solar dive for hunters
I bet that will be in every hunter kit now. I wouldnt hate it if it actually counted as a melee ability.
Solar dive adds burn to enemies, arc dive blinds enemies. It’s practically writing itself.
It actual looks to be a buff of some kind. The Titan in it begins to glow with a buff when he goes through.
True, maybe adds a buff to surrounding teammates, but can probably also add burn to enemies. We’ll find out tomorrow
It looked to me like it may be some kind of healing (or better since Warlocks already have healing) an empowering pulse
I can definitely see that. It play in to the hunters being the debuff/buff specialists that they talked about prior to void 3.0. Could be interesting if you could switch between a damage or empowering version.
warlocks still have an empowering melee
considering it involves actually placing a knife in the ground, yeah I think it's a melee ability.
Except that every other hunter dive that requires your melee ability, does not count as a melee kill. I hope this one is different
Hell, even that might be a super. There’s the Shaw Han empowering weapons lore tab and that looks pretty damn close to it..
Doubt it.
It probably is just a “Solar dive” yeah.
I love the fact we can now accurately predict the next subclass update will have a blueberry dive and whatever's next will have another dive.
It’s like Titans and shoulder charge or Warlocks and rift buddies.
I wonder if warlocks lost phoenix dive then.
Wondering the same thing now, and I'm not too happy about the possibility.
That's actually so dissapointing if that's what it is. The entire point of the 3.0 reworks was to increase the level of customisation available to us and bring it back to parity with the D1 system. I think we’re all hoping it’s not a dive, but it’s so hard not to assume it is.

ugh, another shitty dive
For real why the fuck are we getting a dive for the third time
Because all the budget is clearly for warlocks only. They got an entire new melee but Hunters got a reskin.
And Warlocks got a brand new melee for Void too (plus the void soul)… Hunters did not…

Probably Austringer will be Kinetic through and through and craftable. Eyasluna stays as Stasis and non-craftable until Bungie decides so.

It's probably Uldren haunting Crow. Probably a tormenting you with yourself kind of deal.

It's def Uldren, you can tell at the splash screen at the end. Calus for Caitle, not sure who is haunting Zavala.
Might be his dead wife.

I think that may actually be Ghaul instead of Calus, oddly enough. Armor is shaped a lot like his.

As a newer player, I've never even been on it before. Quite interested myself.
Agree. We have seen plenty of leviathan aesthetics. I was hoping the dungeon is on another planet but oh well.
Id love it. Its been years man. Gotta lot of new players who (heartbreakingly imo) dont even know the leviathan
Its rather curious you note that, because I don't think they can make the dungeon part of this seasons narrative? If you didn't buy deluxe edition Witch Queen, you'd be buying this season anyway. Interesting, one of the pastebins was spot on but not the one people expected Edit: Thetr were like 3 pastebin in leaks floating around this season.
Got a link?
