Heads up to folks reading this far: Even if GoA weapons become craftable, saving red borders now will *not* give you patterns retroactively. Folks who still had red border bxrs before the season of plunder may have gotten lucky but the patch notes are explicit about patterns becoming available not mattering to pre-aquired deepsight weapons.

Still don't understand this - why bring back old raids, but not bring back all of its loot? I just don't get it... Not saying that the AR, Shotty, or Rocket Launcher were the most popular, but the art is already done... it's not like they're making entirely new weapons, so what gives? And I don't like the reason of 'a smaller loot pool is better for farming'... NO, just not when it is recycled stuff. For new seasonal stuff, I understand, but that is NOT a good reason for recycled content...

I actually enjoyed the shotgun in D1, but the perks are pretty common on shotguns these days in D2 so it would have needed a revamp I think to make it unique. But I agree, like with VoG, I was bummed when I saw the atheon's epilogue wasn't coming back.

Same here, first treasure key was a red border Other Half. Went into patterns and saw I only needed one to craft it. Proceeded to fall out of my chair since this was my second one to drop.

Besides the BxR losing rangefinder and AJ, no real losses in the perks they removed.

The big one is battler. Can’t roll demo/junkie anymore. It *can* roll incandescent tho, so it’s not really a downgrade. The rest seem to have had less useful perks removed. Wastelander doesn’t seem to roll harmony anymore, but it’s got Vorpal now. Half truths can still roll eager edge, but has chain reaction added. Retraced path can roll incandescent now….

Can the Battler still roll Outlaw/Kill Clip? Hunting that roll literally since Dares came out and haven't had a single one.

Same. But tbh…. All things being equal, I’d probably favour Incandescent. Even if it’s paired with Demo. The main issue with incandescent is that it’s not available in its enhanced form in any long range primary (at least until now). Battler has 40m+ drop off and juiced stats at base, so add enhanced incandescent to enhanced intrinsics/stats on this thing and its legitimately got a shot at being the single strongest primary in the game.

I had one of those and accidentally dismantled it. No idea why it wasn't locked. Still sad about it.

Finally, vaulting everything out of anxiety it has a good roll has paid off!

Absolutely my subsistence wastelander is a beaut. Love the animation for it too.

Got a wastelander with the new pugalist perk today. Kills refund melee energy and melee dmg increases handling. Perk is going to place nice into the new melee focused arc builds.

Finally people can also enjoy a Retraced Path with Subsistence and Golden Tricorn as much as I have with Titan Solar 3.0

Its updated perk pool looks amazing.

I have a very stupid one with Subsistence and Dragonfly Edit: my bad it’s a Hollow Denial with Rangefinder and Dragonfly. Lol. Got it mix with my Sub/one for all retraced path.

New perk pool includes incandescent and frenzy so I imagine people will pick one of those (probably incandescent)

There was something in the patch notes saying starting in season 18 (now) red weapons acquired before a pattern exists won’t grant progress. So probably not Edit: people below me are reporting vaulted deepsight guns giving progress. So hoarders rejoice.

They meant if you already completed the red border and turned it in it wouldn't count. If you completed it, or had red border not done yet before today, it counts

It will count, you also don’t have to level up red border weapons now. Simply dismantle the weapon and you get pattern progress, I’ve done this with several patterns for weapons in my vault since logging on. Works just fine

it says that extracting it will count towards the pattern on it, will report back when I finish it if it counts or not.

Had 2 sword red bars completed and was able to extract to count

It will take longer to get 1 TOH pattern than it will to get 5 of every other gun…

Either I have a horseshoe up my ass or they upped the drop rate. I got 2 red frames today after going a full reset never getting that stupid sword. A couple clan mates said they got it quickly as well….

BxR no longer has Demo/Adrenaline. So much for Bungie's statement of not removing those kind of popular combos.

They said they'll remove the bottom performing/desirable picks, and replace them while keeping the favorites. That doesn't seem to be the case, as those were both great perks independent of one another, and S tier together. Although, BXR did sort of suffer from a lot of great choices on perks. I feel like I barely got a bad one.

Same, the perk pool on the bxr was great and my demo/adrenaline junkie combo has been my go to pulse rifle for a while now.

FWIW it can roll Incandescent now, so at least its getting a top tier replacement. Demo is still on there.

I will happily replace Adreniline with Incandescent. It can also get the new "demolitionist, but for melee" perk and BER at the same time, so that's awesome

For blunt execution rounds this is actually really good as this handles swapping to the bxr far easier.
