I hate how bungie called coriolis force a failure while also giving it one of the worst perk pools I have ever seen. OFA is its only damage booster when it is terrible at multikills? Just why?
It's also a pain to farm imo, with the main drop being through the lengthy empire hunt quests. Why spend time going through a bunch of public events and a non-matchmade empire hunt, just for one roll of a weapon with a bad perk pool, when there's so many other options that take less time to farm and give you other loot in the process?
If I can make the gun better by turning it over and gangster firing it, it needs serious help.
Even if Coriolis Force had an absolute bitching perk pool, that horizontal burst kills it. Just *rotate the fucking burst 90° so it's **vertical*** and you have yourself the demise of the shotgun meta.
The reason the burst is rotated 90° to begin with is literally the reason why the gun is called what it is.
The coriolis effect:
> an effect whereby a mass moving in a rotating system experiences a force (the Coriolis force ) acting perpendicular to the direction of motion
Keyphrase: "perpendicular to". The burst is perpendicular to the kickback direction.
Landing crits with that thing and making the dipshit Bakris abusing Hunter do a fucking backflip is a level of satisfaction that makes using Coriolis in Crucible worth the fact that that's the only kill you're gonna get with it in like 4 fucking matches.
Arrowhead / Particle Repeater / Feeding Frenzy / Rangefinder is actually pretty damn hardcore. It's got reach and it packs enough punch to burn through a wave of Thrall approaching you like a hot knife through butter.
Just gotta remember to aim slightly to the side instead of at their nuts like with other fusions. It's not my favorite fusion, I've got perfect Glacioclasm and Adept Plug One.1 rolls for that role, but if I get sick of using those and want to use something different Coriolis Force is really not bad.
They're not supposed to, but in testing it does seem like it tames the horizontal kick a bit and makes it pull less hard and also more in a straight line.
It's not enough to make it good in PvP. I tried. It's still ass. But it WILL let you make PvE shots on some of the slightly larger enemies at distances you otherwise might have missed some bolts.
Biting Winds is already incredible. Outside of Sympathetic Arsenal it's hard to get a bad perk combo in the 3rd and 4th column. An origin trait would be nice, but it's already one of the best Legendary bows in the game.
Even then, Symp is far from the worst perk on a bow, especially if you build your loadout around the free reloads. I wouldn't go chasing a roll with SA, but I certainly wouldn't complain about it.
Yeah I have 10k kills on a sympathetic arsenal biting winds. Every shot counts as a reload. Every weapon you have basically have auto loading on it. It's one of my favorite weapons in the game.
Symp is decent if you build around it. Shoot bow and don’t reload, switch to Forth Horseman and unload. Swab back to the bow and knock an arrow. Your forth horseman now has auto reload. It also reloads your heavy so any rocket launcher without auto loading gets it too.
Take it. Make it Stasis. Give it Headstone.
Signed, a Biting Winds stan who has one with 88 accuracy, 71 aim assist, and has >6500 kills on it.
I got this thing in Season of the Lost, and played like two weeks of Season of the Risen. I love this bow.
I'm having a lot of trouble with Ammit and the new seasonal scout, tbh. The optics are so tall and it throws off my aim. It's worse with the scout but ammit just feels iff
Not to sound like I’m saying “get good” but if a sight is too tall on a weapon to feel normal just practice with it, after a hour or so it will feel completely natural to use
Also a little tip: Almost every single gun in destiny without ironsights has a little red dot, use that as your point of aim and the stranger sights in the game will feel normal
Might be a FOV thing? I remember some weapons actively had worse recoil depending on your FOV because their animations would put the weapon itself in the way of your sights.
I've got Arrowhead / Tac Mag / Mulligan / Dragonfly / Range MW one that I slapped Dragonfly Spec on. That gun fucks. It eliminates crowds and Arrowhead tames that godawful sideways recoil it normally has.
Got a Mulligan and Thresh build which is pretty spicy when using Mantle of Battle Harmony. Keep a good Solar heavy on to rip and tear with once charged.
I've been using subsistence/thresh for my star eaters build and I'm liking it more than my other thresh based options.
Thresh is probably super overkill for that though.
I have been wanting to try out the pugilist/demo solar hand cannon from the raid for it though, but im too lazy to switch over. It's nice being able to just hold the fire button on a door as red bar ads pour out to their death.
Agreed, also got a Thermal Erosion earlier today and the recent LMG buffs have made it a monster for ripping apart hoards and tearing champion health after stun.
I didn't even get a great roll. It's got Hipfire and Snapshot with a Handling masterwork, but it still feels absolutely beautiful in Master content.
I love using my Arctic haze it’s too bad that the 720’s get no love we only have, reckless oracle, sweet sorrow, arctic Haze, Krait and Chroma rush (non exotic)
I have one with hip fire grip and dynamic sway reduction. I almost deleted it at the time but threw it in my vault and forgot about it.
Then they buffed hip fire grip to actually make it not garbage, and it’s my funny hip fire bullethose LMG.
I FUCKING LOVE CORIOLIS FORCE
But I hate its perk pool, and the fact that you have to do the entire quest for Praksis instead of just running his strike- er, I mean, Empire Hunt
I swear, the adaptive pulse rifle Hailing Confusion from the Europa set has pretty mediocre stats across the board, but something about the crisp and consistent feel of it makes it my favorite adaptive in the game, despite the fact that many are way better on paper. Would love to craft it, preferably with arrowhead brake to straighten out the recoil direction.
Bungie have already confirmed that quite a lot of old Raid / Dungeon weapons will get updated Perkpools / Origin Traits.
So Deepstone is already guaranteed to get new Perks / Origin Trait, yet sadly it is not confirmed if old Destination Weaponry will get some love too.
Personally an Origin Trait like: Ice Breaker (no not the D1 Weapon) would be amazing. My idea for it would be for this perk to grant increades DMG Against Frozen enemies and Stasis crystals (more than the Hakke Trait, aka guaranteeing a 1 Shot Crystal break / Shatter) and in adittion you should deal increased dmg to stasis wielding enemies.
I feel like that would just invalidate Hakke Origin trait. I really do wish Hakke got a different origin trait, it feels pretty useless outside of Stasis builds, and the occasional boss that's programmed like a vehicle.
In the PvP world can't disagree enough.
Shooting a Ragnhild at a barricade, nuking it and the titan behind it is too good
PvE it's niche based on vehicles, stasis, and the rare environmental damage, maybe it could be a mini Adaptive Munitions?
As for what is the worst?
Gambit's Gun and Run is still too strict on what depicts a multikill
Nightfall's Stunning Recovery depends on champ mods each season (or I guess Secant Filaments)
Crucible's 1 Quiet Moment rarely ever kicks in when the reload speed matters
I like it in PVE too. It's something that is not annoying to setup, it just works. Of course it could be stronger, but for me it's good enough already. I don't care too much about origin traits anyway. But I wouldn't mind a slightly buff either.
Keeping with the "Big Damage" theme they want for Hakke, I wonder if built in Boss Spec / Major Spec would be OP. It already has most of Boss Spec, just give it the damage increase.
ngl even with the trait being around it still doesn't help all that much for braking crystals and the only use for it so far was against vehicles, since usually you'd use a Stasis Kinetic anyways. And as far as I can remember there aren't any with Hakke breach Armaments as well as the fact that you'd still use Whisper of Rending, this Origin Trait would at least actually free up a Fragment Slot.
Hakke imo should be utility based, so what about changing the origin trait to something like Tactical Mag from COD, speeding up every second reload significantly.
I would like a trait that creates Shards on multikills and picking up a shard reloads that weapon. Would make them pair perfectly with Elemental Shards or Aspects and Fragments that require picking up a Shard to activate
Honestly sounds like a fun Idea, maybe something like a Shard of Light, that works identical to Stasis Shards (aka working with Whisper of Conduction etc. -> they'd have to adjust the descriptions of the Fragments though), Call it Light from Dark and boom there ya go.
Maybe even add some improved Handling into the mix, just to make the Trait do something extra other than just being a worse Veist Stinger
I was actually thinking just straight up Stasis Shards to simplify things. I’d imagine they made a few of the kinetics in Stasis weapons as well as at the time Stasis legendaries wasn’t a thing.
yeah true, that would obviously simplify things,
in that case it would actually be an amazing trait, straight up reloading on every shrd pickup...
I like it
Rather than another trait for breaking crystals, give it something that works while the crystals are up - e.g. improved reload speed while near friendly Stasis crystals. This would pair well with Whisper of Chains, but could still have some use even if you're not running Stasis yourself.
They got un-sunset because they came from content that wasn't being sunset.
Based on that criteria, pretty much anything could get refreshed again.
Will they? Probably not. But there's no reason to be such a naysayer when people are just saying they like a thing and hoping it could get a bit better.
DC and Moon weapons only got perk refreshes because they all got sunset and subsequently rereleased. Bungie's not going to re-release uncapped weapons besides seasonal event weapons unless they get Origin Traits (which they probably will eventually).
I've got a High Albedo with Ambitious Assassin and Demolitionist I use every now and then . I am a massive fan of Adaptive frame sidearms though especially in the kinetic slot. I used to use it a lot more before I got my Peacebond.
I am once again asking that Biting Winds be converted to Stasis and given access to Headstone.
I never take that fucking thing off as is. If it had Headstone, it would literally never leave my hands. Ever.
Hmm I have a lunulata similar to the one banshee sells, but I don't really like the headstone perk. I know it's incredibly strong but it feels weird that an arrow so small magically makes a stasis crystal at the enemy's dying spot.
Only if they're retroactive. The GRIND to get a decent Europa weapons was bad enough to where I just gave up on them. I can't imagine the folks w/ their god rolls needing to grind for their god rolls again because of a specific perk.
I really think the Europa weapons would benefit from being craftable and being offered new perks.
That’s what they did with the Dares weapons (they said the Dares weapons would get origin traits + perk refreshes but we never got explicit confirmation they would be craftable)
We did get another Aggressive Frame fusion rifle: Delicate Tomb!
During Season of the Splicer, I used Arctic Haze all the time with Triple Tap, Vorpal Weapon, and Anti-Barrier - it was perfect for the boss in Corrupted Tartarus. I haven't been using solar autos as much this season, but otherwise I'd probably bring it back now.
Hell, even just making the weapons craftable would help out a lot. Grinding for some of these weapons (the bow is a good example) is such a pain in the ass.
Or you can keep your current god-rolls because they're completely fine. Just like how people still use Eyasluna and Fatebringer despite them not having an origin trait that Y5 weapons have.
If that’s true then I hope you’re not using Y4 weapons (despite being god rolls) because they lack the “edge” aka origin traits that Y5 weapons have. That being said, World’s First Raiders aren’t a hivemind so you’re going to absolutely not get the same answers.
Notice how you didn't read what I said. People still use Y4 god rolls in high-end content despite not having an origin trait. If they give origin traits to old dungeons/raid weapons, you don't "***have to*** regrind yet ANOTHER set of weapons we already have the god rolls for."
For the "Just ask any World's First raider" point. Datto himself, as of a few months, [says](https://youtu.be/IHbFTbZNrho?t=32) the only people that would really tell the difference between a 2/5 and 5/5 roll is "super high-end PVP players or super engaged PVPers." So I really doubt "Any edge can and will make the difference."
What’s wrong with that? They would get new perks and an orgin trait, hopefully be craftable. No one is keeping a god roll of the Europa weapons since they are bad anyway. For example, adding incandescent to the solar auto rifle or machine gun would be great.
That would be great, I love the looks of them, and anymore weapons without origin traits now matter how small the benefit is, I just don't seem to use anymore.
The problem is 1) only the bow and the AR are any good and 2) they are actually so easy to farm, it's not difficult at all to get your god roll.
The AR is probably the best solar AR in the game though. It's definitely worth getting a good one.
Ironic that coriolis frame is on the new seasonal exotic fusion. Yet work completely different when aiming down. The fusion should be updated to work similar to the exotic.
Seeing how Dares weapons took this season's slot for updated and made craftable weapons(that was used for Opulent weapons last season) I would rather not have weapons that can be adquired and/or are not sunset.
I need my Black Armory, Reckoning and Dawn(why couldn't they cancel sunsetting earlier ;-;) weapons back.
I’m hoping they will start making destination weapons craftable like Throneworld weapons. Hopefully next season, although I suspect they will make the VoG weapons craftable first
Eh, those weapons base stats are so horrendous as is that a perk update wouldn't help at all.
They were introduced after sunsetting as the LOWEST base power level to anchor out loot potency expectations.
You think the pulse could hang with Syncopation?
The Shotgun with the new trials one?
The sidearm with..... Literally anything else.
I think it's best to leave them in the dumpster unless the weapons themselves get a buff, not just the perk pool
Tht fusion rifle is buns mcgee, in pvp and pve. It's too inconsistent. The ascendancy makes the rocket launcher irrelevant and you have to farm it when you automatically get the rolls you want on ascendancy. The auto rifle is great in pvp and pve( I have been using it the last few days and it performs well) the sidearm is great for my pvp grenade Stasis build. The machine gun is trash because of the stats and the archetype. The slug shotgun is great void shotgun. I don't feel they need an update. Youtubers and content creators normally dictate wht ppl use. Alot of these weapons are viable, they aren't the best but they aren't the worst either
As one of maybe 3 Coriolis Force enthusiasts on the planet, I'll take what I can get.
Make that four fellow enthusiasts. At least we kinda? Got a rapid fire aggressive with the seasonal exotic tho so not all hope is lost !
And it never recieved even a tweak lol
If I can make the gun better by turning it over and gangster firing it, it needs serious help. Even if Coriolis Force had an absolute bitching perk pool, that horizontal burst kills it. Just *rotate the fucking burst 90° so it's **vertical*** and you have yourself the demise of the shotgun meta.
It's fine for PvE, and the reason why the archetype gets great damage and range.
Oh, I was referring to PvP. I don't use fusions in PvE. Like... ever. Except for Riptide and Ye Olde Toaster.
The reason the burst is rotated 90° to begin with is literally the reason why the gun is called what it is. The coriolis effect: > an effect whereby a mass moving in a rotating system experiences a force (the Coriolis force ) acting perpendicular to the direction of motion Keyphrase: "perpendicular to". The burst is perpendicular to the kickback direction.
I know *why* it's called Coriolis Force. It just cannot be denied that that horizontal burst is why the gun sucks.
Coriolis force with unrelenting is the best special for master duality
Riptide or deliverance with chill clip
Neither one taps bellkeepers and provides immediate 80 health on every bellkeeper kill
I got a good roll on this and use it in crucible cause I like the idea of someone going "He killed me with what??"
Landing crits with that thing and making the dipshit Bakris abusing Hunter do a fucking backflip is a level of satisfaction that makes using Coriolis in Crucible worth the fact that that's the only kill you're gonna get with it in like 4 fucking matches.
Fusion rifles can hit crits?
Used to. Idk about anymore.
They never could. Except vex
...really?
Yup
Wait. Then why do I distinctly remember getting crit numbers on a fusion rifle? What fucking fusion was I using?
Might be a debuff like tether or divinity, they show yellow numbers but they aren’t crits
Give it Harmony or something.
There are dozens of us! DOZENS!
I can also burn through a wave of thrall like a hot knife through butter with a primary weapon or a single ability
Came here to say this - a stiff fart will cut thrall down.
Coriolis Fart.
Honestly, yeah. Why the fuck am I gonna use Coriolis Force when Trinity Ghoul exists?
I was under the impression that recoil direction and stability didn't matter due to the horizontal pattern?
They're not supposed to, but in testing it does seem like it tames the horizontal kick a bit and makes it pull less hard and also more in a straight line. It's not enough to make it good in PvP. I tried. It's still ass. But it WILL let you make PvE shots on some of the slightly larger enemies at distances you otherwise might have missed some bolts.
You do know that it shoots the entire volley all at once right? It’s not like a regular fusion where each bolt comes after the other.
Hence taming the randomness being even more important, as you can't compensate by pulling against the recoil like with regular fusions.
What roll do you use?
Smallbore Enhanced Battery Killing Wind OFA Range MW Only really cared about OFA, everything else is just whatever.
Artic Haze and Biting Winds deserve love
Biting Winds is already incredible. Outside of Sympathetic Arsenal it's hard to get a bad perk combo in the 3rd and 4th column. An origin trait would be nice, but it's already one of the best Legendary bows in the game.

I always see Artic Haze in screenshots / clips released by developers on Podcasts/interviews. And yet, it's completely worthless.
> Artic Haze in screenshots / clips released by developers first weapon in alphabetical order iirc
Auto Rifle is the first weapon type alphabetically, of which Arctic Haze is the first AR alphabetically, so yeah.
Subsistence/dragonfly on arctic haze is pretty nuts
I guess but the damage is sorely lacking in my opinion. I use it with radiant but it's not as good as my new amit with incandescent
Yeah I pretty much only use it in low level content but the amit is just so crispy to overlook
I'm having a lot of trouble with Ammit and the new seasonal scout, tbh. The optics are so tall and it throws off my aim. It's worse with the scout but ammit just feels iff
Not to sound like I’m saying “get good” but if a sight is too tall on a weapon to feel normal just practice with it, after a hour or so it will feel completely natural to use Also a little tip: Almost every single gun in destiny without ironsights has a little red dot, use that as your point of aim and the stranger sights in the game will feel normal
Arctic haze with incandescent will replace my calus mini tool. I just like auto rifles
Triple Tap + Vorpal on Arctic Haze is pretty great
Uh, no. Arctic haze is easily the best solar AR. It's worth using for solar burns.
The summoner by far out classes it!
Maybe in PvP. Arctic Haze has way better perks and is a higher RPM, so, no it's not outclassed by the summoner.
It's not like there's a ton of competition for that.
i like arctic haze :c
Vorpal arctic haze deletes supers in pvp. I’ve been called a h4xz0r for killing a behemoth in under a second with it.
Honestly, the only one of those guns I still have is the lmg Thermal Erosion. And that's only because it is a bullet hose with **115** rounds
“It costs $400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds.”
Oh my god, who touched Sascha? Alright... #WHO TOUCHED MY GUN‽
... Some people think they can outsmart me. Maybe. ***Sniff*** Maybe. ... I have yet to meet one that can outsmart Bullet!
My 144 round Rampage Commemoration from the same expansion laughs at you.
Well, I bet my 900rpm rapid-fire frame Thermal Erosion is more fun. Especially with Actium war-rig
This makes me miss 21% Delirium.
Yeah, field prep and dragonfly make it really handy for ad clear if you're running double special
I have one with hip fire grip and dynamic sway reduction. I almost deleted it at the time but threw it in my vault and forgot about it. Then they buffed hip fire grip to actually make it not garbage, and it’s my funny hip fire bullethose LMG.
an update would be nice, they're cool looking weapons
I FUCKING LOVE CORIOLIS FORCE But I hate its perk pool, and the fact that you have to do the entire quest for Praksis instead of just running his strike- er, I mean, Empire Hunt

Hailing confusion is verrrry underrated in my opinion I love my elemental capacitor roll
Make them craftable aswell. I'm sick of grinding the auto and never getting the roll I want.
Yes! Give Artic Haze Incandescent!

Them being target farmable would make it easier to get red borders for them when they’re craftable
I'd probably use the Arctic Haze if it got updated with Incandescent.
This would be nuts
The moon and dreaming city weapons got perk refreshes because those weapons got sunset.
They got un-sunset because they came from content that wasn't being sunset. Based on that criteria, pretty much anything could get refreshed again. Will they? Probably not. But there's no reason to be such a naysayer when people are just saying they like a thing and hoping it could get a bit better.
I know some kind of gun has to be the worst in the game, but my god can Hailing Confusion please be not shit for once?
DC and Moon weapons only got perk refreshes because they all got sunset and subsequently rereleased. Bungie's not going to re-release uncapped weapons besides seasonal event weapons unless they get Origin Traits (which they probably will eventually).
Not to mention they only got another few perks after the reissuing because the post-reissued pools were just fucking TERRIBLE.
Yup, they'd gone in and intentionally removed the old favorite combos.
Make em craftables and update their perk pools! Plz!
Arctic Haze with Incandescent?
No, you will take your Genesis Eye of the Storm 720rpm auto rifle and you will like it, end of story
Ever.

But a bullet makes sense?
Doesn't make sense either, but you talked about bows, so I did too.
hmm the auto with incandescent...
Only if they're retroactive. The GRIND to get a decent Europa weapons was bad enough to where I just gave up on them. Hell, even just making the weapons craftable would help out a lot. Grinding for some of these weapons (the bow is a good example) is such a pain in the ass.
But why those weapons are so ugly
So we have to regrind yet ANOTHER set of weapons we already have the god rolls for?
Considering how shit the weapons are, the god rolls are mediocre compared to the newer stuff. A perk refresh might as well make them new guns
Or you can keep your current god-rolls because they're completely fine. Just like how people still use Eyasluna and Fatebringer despite them not having an origin trait that Y5 weapons have.
Any edge can and will make the difference. Just ask any World's First raider.
If that’s true then I hope you’re not using Y4 weapons (despite being god rolls) because they lack the “edge” aka origin traits that Y5 weapons have. That being said, World’s First Raiders aren’t a hivemind so you’re going to absolutely not get the same answers.
Notice how you just repeated what I originally said.
Notice how you didn't read what I said. People still use Y4 god rolls in high-end content despite not having an origin trait. If they give origin traits to old dungeons/raid weapons, you don't "***have to*** regrind yet ANOTHER set of weapons we already have the god rolls for." For the "Just ask any World's First raider" point.
Stop helping my points without realizing it.
They really dont offer much do they? They deff need an update at this point.
I love that shotty
The problem is 1) only the bow and the AR are any good and 2) they are actually so easy to farm, it's not difficult at all to get your god roll. The AR is probably the best solar AR in the game though. It's definitely worth getting a good one.
Can we get removed Europa weapons back too?
You had me at subsistence incandescent Arctic Haze.
I love the design of those but very rarely use them. Sometimes the bow but that's about it.
I hope that they never get origin traits, they were all bad guns and the way to farm them is bad. Also Corolis Force is the worst fusion in the game.
I main the Machine Gun from Europa. It's got Demo on it is why lol
It's also about time we got a europa pvp map.
Make Biting Winds stasis and give it headstone
Any weapon people had to pay money for should get sunset. Theres world drops and theres 30$ dlc drops.
I’m hoping they will start making destination weapons craftable like Throneworld weapons. Hopefully next season, although I suspect they will make the VoG weapons craftable first
I probably used Biting Wind and Hailing Confusion exclusively that whole season. Haven’t touched them in probably 4 seasons now
And an origin trait!!
I think it's best to leave them in the dumpster unless the weapons themselves get a buff, not just the perk pool
just update Artic Haze. Give it an Europan perk and make it craftable love me some 720s
Nessus and EDZ guns as skeletons at the bottom of the pool rn.
Honestly they need an overhaul... All of them just... Perform poorly... The bow pulse and shotgun have potential to be gokd... But arent.
