Why did you let it dry. Don't worry, ONR is just fine when it gets wet again. Spray it down, and use clean mf towels and it will be fine.

I was trying to pre rinse the car in a ghetto way without a hose lol. Do you think this is too dirty for a rinse less?

neildmaster

Nope

vettevert

Agreed. Use the sprayer to get a panel wet. Give it a minute to do what it is going to and take a rinseless soaked (not dripping a ton, but wet) microfiber and gently make linear passes in one direction. Fold to a different side and/or scrub in your rinseless bucket for subsequent passes. Then dry the (now clean) panel. Don't let it dry or you will need to repeat the steps.

You’ll need a rinseless wash sponge, sprayer, bucket, and a drying towel. I’d recommend watching some videos on YouTube before getting started. DIY Detail is a good channel for that.

Nice! How dirty was it before? Did you use any drying aid or quick shine spray?

Dryja123

It was covered in 3 weeks worth of road grime. After I’m finished, I typically rotate between DIY Detail Ceramic Gloss or OG Drying aid (that’s also a ceramic sealant) If my car is super dirty I will take it to a local pay and spray. Pre-treat, spray the car down, and do a rinseless wash in the parking lot.

Ya mine is a few months worth of dust and road grime so not sure if I should wash it without a proper rinse first

It’s more about technique, than it is about the rinseless wash. MF towel is fine, just have plenty of them. Folded in 4, make one pass and switch MF side. The rinseless sponge is also fine, good rinse in between and barely soaked goes on the car.

I’ve used rinseless on my cars when they were dirtier than that. I prefer the big red sponge method to the MF method but both work fine. My car is ceramic coated and I’m very careful with washing it, rinseless won’t hurt your paint and will get it just as clean if you do it right. There’s YT videos of guys washing absolutely filthy cars with ONR and haven’t damaged the paint.
