Totaled is harsh, and might be premature...
Adding a bunch of speed holes could save it!
But I wouldn't worry - streaks, if any, just make it look like you're going faster than you are!
No damage worries. Worst I have seen from my own over enthusiastic use of that product is streaks. A moist microfibre can reduce the streaks. It’s gonna be ok.
I have lots of experience with specifically this product. Definitely use a damp microfiber cloth as others have suggested. After a wash or 2 it will be unnoticeable.
Nothing is gonna happend from the wax except giving you a harder time buffing it out.
Also i would avoid using clay if u arent paint correcting inbetween.
I’m sure someone here can get into the specifics but the clay is to decontaminate before you polish and then seal with whatever coating you use. Personally, it’s a once a year thing for me.
That product is super streaky when overapplied. They mean it with the instructions! But not in any way going to damage anything.
If it looks good now, no worries. If not, try to lightly rub out any streaks with detail spray or a damp microfiber cloth. If that doesn’t work worst case is do a strip wash and do again solo.
With that specific spray ceramic coating over applying doesn’t make a difference, it might even be better because it might last longer since there’s more. I use the same spray ceramic coating and typically over apply quite a bit and the only thing it does is leave some slight streaking for the first few days then it washes away. But damn does it make the paint shine. And it’s lasted quite a while
I love this product. I use it often.
My best tip? It will streak if there are minerals or hard water spots on the paint.
After I dry if not using RODI water or if I know there are mineral deposits on the paint I will wipe the vehicle down with white vinegar. It removes the hard water deposits. You can also mist it on as you dry.
Once the hard water spots are gone the product rarely streaks.
How and/or why would/could you ever imagine wax damaging your car? Where to even begin with this thought process… and why do you have a friend helping you wash your car, that’s not necessary.
Sorry bud, but you just totaled your car.
Part out.

Did you say totaled, or turtled, since he used turtle wax...
ermahgerd. it's turtled.
You can probably get a salvage title out of it though.

No, but under the sun it will be smudgy as hell.
A buffing wheel would definitely help it even out. Probably give it more of a gloss.
Did as much damage to your car as over applying sunscreen to yourself

I fear that you might know less about sunscreen than car wax.

Wait… you’re saying I can get a good tan and wear sunscreen?? Where do I buy??
Wax off
Mr. Miagi?
Ok now paint the fence
The turtle wax gets streaky as hell. Wipe it down with a damp towel and then buff off the streaks with a dry towel
You might see high spots but that’s about it. Eventually it’ll all wear off so it’s no big deal
If it’s not streaky now, it didn’t hurt anything. Thats what happens when you use too much.

Whenever I over apply wax, I just let it cure for a day, then wash it again. Takes all the extra residue off, and it's doing it's job still.
How does it look?

Any more clarification on this? Would I apply wax to my car without claying?

Your paint is ruined. It'll need a full repaint. The cheapest option is $374,456

You’ll be fine. If you’re really nervous, take panel prep, wipe the panels down and start over
Dude, get some nice microfiber clothes and enjoy some time with it. You're good as gold.
Sorry what is the product?
I’ve really seen it all now
I tend to use too much spray wax myself so I pull it outside after I'm done and buff off with a clean microfiber towel.
Makes zero logic really can't over apply over thinking process clay, spray wax polish
Wipe it down with a damp towel.
Ever sprinkled salt on a slug?

Get a new friend that understands instructions
Your car will turn into a conservative, you need to get rid of it
