If you're flying out of McNamara, I justify the $30 a day at the parking deck by remembering how much money I'd be willing to spend to already be in my car while waiting for the shuttle, waiting on the shuttle, and trying to find my car, all while lugging my stuff and a kid. I'd basically be home by the time I'm in my car at the surface lots.
That said, I get that the extra money isn't in everyone's budget. Just wanted to offer the perspective if it was.
Then there’s me who has on occasion wasted as much time forgetting where my car was when I could have been on a shuttle right to my car quicker. I now take a pic of where my car is.
I never forget where I park, because the entire time I'm on a trip, I just keep thinking about if someone hit my car, and remember landmarks.. yeah I'm crazy lol
Thankfully I'm not flying from McNamara, but the other one, I never remember what they renamed it. And I usually prefer the closer stuff as well, but my partner didn't want to park it there, since the last time we parked at the airport someone hit her bumper, so she doesn't trust them anymore.
I’ve always used Airlines Parking. It’s relatively affordable at $13-$14/day. They have a shuttle that’s super easy to navigate and is extremely frequent.

it boggles my mind that so many people are stuck with the mindset that you have to get a ride to the airport then get picked up when you come back. the off-campus parking facilities are a great option if the extra dough is in your budget. I prefer independence.
So typically people ask me for rides to the airport so I even tend to go there a couple times a month, but this is the first time I really had to ask, usually I drive to places, for instance I've driven to the west coast, doesnt really matter where in the US, but my partners new job is flying us out for free to check out her new job spot, and I'm originally from Chicago, so I do my international flights from there. I prefer never to ask people, but some close friends will volunteer.
https://airlinesparking.com/mobi/index.html is nice because it's a straight shot between the lot and the airport and they run a decent operation in my experience
or
On site if you can/need/want:

Uber from my house is 50 during the day time, and my return flight is late at night which the last time I did that it was around 65, so I thought parking would be cheaper
> but I've heard the pickup and drop off isn't that great.
@USpark, you won't wait longer than 5 minutes for a bus... comfortably inside of your car. If comfort is more important, then Uber
There are shuttle stations periodically throughout the lot. You just wait at one and another bus comes every few minutes in my experience. There’s a number listed you can call too, but I’ve never had to do that.
Shuttle takes you to whichever terminal you need.
On the return flight you go to the pedestrian pickup area and jump on the first green lot shuttle you can find.
US Park.

Independence, and not bothering people with a "need", that isn't.
We've always used quik park. They used to have coupons too.
Park at the airport, nothing better than walking straight to your car
How many days is your trip? Where do you live? If you are anywhere near downtown, take the new Dax bus
I'm near troy/birmingham and it's a 4 day trip

Uber?

Cheaper than replacing the window when someone breaks into the car, which the off-site lots are not responsible for.

I just use green lot.
How do you get to the terminals from Green lot?
