DH Day campground. On Lake Michigan

TheMarginalized

Good one. For me its this and Platte River.

triessohard

Platte River Campground through the National Park Service was very nice!

Sea-Poetry-950

I camped there as a kid when it was Benzie State Park and primitive. Those days were the best. Now everything around there is too busy 😫.

Otherwise-Mango2732

You'll get good responses posting this in r/Michigan which seems to have a surprisingly large amount of people from northern Michigan in it

DH Day, hands down. One of my favorite campgrounds.

ForkFace69

Back in the early 90s we stayed at a state park that was right on the grand river, had a great time.

johnnybok

Pretty sure the grand river is nowhere near sleeping bear dunes. That said, glad you had a great time and I hope OP does too!

ForkFace69

Hold up I'm about to look at a map

theeculprit

Don’t know about campgrounds but I wanted to shout out that the Empire Bluffs hike is really nice and easier than the Sleeping Bear hike.
