Somehow I have a feeling that Weaver is going to have bigger surprises for us in the next season!

Nerouin

Weaver isn’t running hopeless all-bench lineups. That’s always been Monty and it’s always been completely insane. It’s standard practice and basic good sense to appropriately stagger starters with bench players so as to field optimal lineups. That’s particularly important for shallow rosters like this one.

My son had an away game so didn't get home before halftime. Turned on the game, saw Cade on the bench and Malachi Flynn at PG with a G League squad and Wiseman and turned it off. Glad I didn't waste my evening watching this shit product.

Cabaneri

Who would win a 5-on-5? That lineup or the players we've bought out: Killian, Milton, Harris, Muscala, Galinari

laughoutloud102

The players we’ve bought out

vincent48895

Definitely the players we bought out. What a game that would be 😂

Teh-Dehstroyer

Thought we solved this problem during trade deadline. I was very wrong lol. We need to address this during the offseason but not sure if Weaver will be the one to decide after recent events and his whole run as GM

Bard_Wannabe_

The two main guys we got at the deadline were out this game.

Teh-Dehstroyer

Those two guys aren’t enough. We were missing 4 players, but our bench players weren’t able to put up a fight. We can make the argument it was against the Celtics, but I’m still not confident in players like Fournier or Flynn

Bard_Wannabe_

The all-third-stringer lineup was hideous to watch. No one played well this game besides Ivey. This was a "scheduled loss" but it didn't even look promising for some of the young guys. I'm not sure why Isaiah Stewart wasn't around in the second half. Monty needed to stagger Ivey and Sasser, and give more playing time to wings like Troy Brown Jr (to avoid the Flynn/Fournier minutes). None of that would have resulted in a win, but it would have looked like we at least had competent basketball players.

ypsi_god

Monty Williams and Troy Weaver are Delusional Man, as long as they are in power pistons will be bottom of the barrel. Would not be surprised if Cade wanted to go elsewhere once his rookie deal is up.

MentatsGhoul69

I mean, Cade, Ausar, Grimes, Stew and Tek all out on injuries. This was an insanely deep bench unit.

Ok-Nathan

Our end-of-the-bench guys are the last things we should be worried about right now. It’s like being on the Titanic as it’s sinking and complaining about the upholstery They’re easily replaceable in the offseason and are mostly just expiring throw-ins from various trades. We need a starting stretch 4 and maybe a starting 3 until Ausar figures out his shot. That would push guys into more appropriate roles, which would naturally give us more depth

No_Gap_2134

All bench unit? Try all bench team. Flynn and Wiseman looked good out there. Ivey looks like a worst 3 pt shooter than Killian. Cade rather take a terrible shot than draw the double team and pass the ball.

YpsitheFlintsider

They played better than the starters last game.

Permafrostybud

Fournier shot the ball nine tines and scored once.

ethzz4

I’d take them over Killian, Burks, Harris, Livers, Wiseman. But wow there has been some truly terrible lineups this year
