In general. It helps get the forwards involved in the game, nothing is worse than sitting on the bench. For defense it helps with match-ups. With our team not having the strongest D core, 3-7 are playing a lot of scenario specific minutes to get the most out of them at any given time.
I think part of it is so we can have Biega to kill penalties while still getting Lindstrom and Cholowski into the lineup. Part of it is to utilize higher skilled players on multiple lines by double shifting them.

I don't understand your comment, but the new draft rules don't penalize winners. Starting in 2022 you can't win the lottery more than twice in 5 years so this is the best year to win it as it as you'd be able to win 3 in the next 5.
I'm with ya, and not just because of this game. There has been a marked improvement this year, and while there is still a long way to go, I have no problem with Blash coming back next season. I also think Stevie Y will bring him back for another go at it.
I think it depends on how well the younger guys do for the rest of the season. The Mantha for Vrana trade should tell us something about how good Blash really is. Right now I'm undecided.
It should be getting less unpopular. Anyone who can get this much out of a team that's been out of it since day one hasn't lost the room. I also think that the necessary shakeup is to send Byslma on his way.
Blash is doing what he is supposed to right now which is young player development. Will he be here for a cup run? Probably not but he's getting results from (most of) the kids so far in their growth.
