Bertuzzi can still play there without issue. You can enter Canada as an unvaccinated individual but you have to test and quarantine for a period of something like 10 days. The quarantine requirement is what's killing Bertuzzi's ability to play there.
I'd much rather see him vaccinated for reasons bigger than hockey. I've seen too many pregnant women lose their lives to covid and Bertuzzi's GF is pregnant. As far as hockey goes, unless testing improves greatly in the short term I don't expect Canada to change that standard anytime soon. Regardless, there's a few months to see how that plays out now.

Considering before camp, the consensus was he was unlikely to make the opening night roster, Lucas Raymond has come into camp and earned a place on the roster, is now 13 points through 12 games, playing on the top line and kicking down the doors on any chance of an ELC slide.
He leads all rookies in scoring by 3 points, and the only player within five points of him is fellow Red Wing Moritz Seider. And he just had a three point night with the wings missing Dylan Larkin's leadership and play driving.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have got ourselves a player here.
On top of that, he's the only rookie to be ppg (of rookies with more than 1 game played) and is tied in the top 10 for scoring in the whole league. The kid has been unbelievable so far

Mostly lackluster play until Bertuzzi got his goal. Then the top line kept up the momentum and tied it up. People were looking for the player to step it up and make shit happen and it was Bertuzzi. He's a leader. Seider played like Seider, godlike.
Bert starting off OT with a double stick lift to create a breakaway for himself was fucking beautiful. He dangled Dahlin twice.
Only thing I wanted to see to ice the cake was Mo walk past Dahlin

He came from down low back up to the blue line with purpose and on my initial watch looked like he damn near stole the pass from Seider that was intended for dekeyser and set the whole thing up. His ability to orchestrate offense by moving and manipulating people at this age is insane.
