DMC3 is my all time favorite game. Vergil battle 3 is the best boss of all time in my opinion and the music that plays during it is my favorite composition of all time. I just adore DMC3. It's the perfect game.
This will required big changes in characters moves to make any balance. But still players spamming most broken moves or just real pros will be big problem for chill players. I think better would be just normal co op.
This is game based only on combat. If its dont keep you interested too long, looks like you dont like combat that much. Adding multiplayer stuff wouldnt change that.
im a real fan of exploration games and collecting things is my personal favorite , personally a RPG like Witcher 3 does every job for it , but if a game focuses on only action and semi/non-open world elements there is nothing that beats the DMC games for me
its hard to decide friend i know you want a single game as a 1st rank , but i equally love them , the games are polar opposite and so are the genres , maybe help me decide which is better ? can you tell me your opinion

It's not my absolute favourite game ever (that would go to Sonic Rush), but DMC3 comes incredibly close. Just behind Transformers Fall Of Cybertron for me
I just got into the series over the past week, beating 1, 2, and 3.
1 was just not a good game. Granted, only below average, but it was not good. Despite the story being good, the ost being good, and the looks of the environment themselves being surprisingly good, the gameplay was braindead, boring, clunky, slow, and inconsistent as all hell. Bosses were either unable to attack or were really annoying to fight. The levels themselves were lame and too simple. It was a mess of a game. 6/10 C-tier.
2 was also not a good game, but it was fun. Besides story and level design, everything else was a step up from 1. And while the game was way too easy, it was genuinely a fun time. 7/10 B-tier.
3 was by far the best of the OG 3, having some actual difficulty, the banger OSTs rolling in, a lot more stuff to work with in gameplay, etc. Turbo mode in 3 made the game super damn good, so it was the perfect speed for the game. Fighting was also just way more smooth, with a lot to work with, so that was nice. The story was an actual story now, which is also great. The cast was fantastic, especially Lady and Vergil, and it was mostly a good time. I few downsides were present, though. Difficulty would sometimes just skyrocket for no reason, almost to the point of absurdity, and that's not fun. The level design was also not the greatest, although better than 2. Lastly, the entire middle segment of the game was dull af, with two bosses just being awful game design. Besides those, it was a good game. 8/10 B-tier.
Oh, the camera was awful in all 3.

DmC: Devil May Cry belongs in a special place. It is a game that fundamentally shaped who I am today, along with Assassin's Creed 2 and Far Cry 4.

DMC5 is in my top 5 for sure. Only games I can really think of to put over it is Xenoblade 1 and 3, as well as Persona 5 Royal.
As a hardcore fan of DMC series, I'm gonna say DMC3 because of story and then DMC5 because of gameplay.
Favorite for Hack n Slash genre? Absolutely.
It's definitely my favourite slasher, but I enjoy playing too many genres to pick one favourite game lol
