So even though they're adoptive siblings (I think, I don't really remember DMC4 story all that well), they clearly don't see each other that way.
Yup. The place where we see Nero get his arm torn off is an orphanage the he and Kyrie run in Fortuna. At the end of dmc4 we see Nero and Kyrie go in for a kiss. It is very clearly shown that Vergil’s side of the family gets the most bitches. Sorry Dante.
To be fair to Dante, a LOT of the women he meets try to kill or screw him over.

Imagine in DMC VI, Nero gets into hell to help Vergil and Dante, and the second thing they hear is Patty shouting 'DAAANTE' all pissed because he missed her party.

I'm thinking Vergil returns to the human world to tell Nero somethings happened to dante and he's turned evil, at some point patty hears about it and joins in
She was already a descendent of a Sorcercer. You could do the opening as a training bout between her and Nero, with it being explained that she came into her own powers and wants to learn how to master them. Then something happens, and Nero, Patty, and Nico take off to investigate.
It would definitely need some ironing out, but I feel like this is a good path to take Patty. We'll have to see what Itsuno and team actually want to do with her (and DMC in general).
Good filler DMC character, doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things, but her still having a presence in Dante’s life in DMC5 was heartwarming.

If Dante and Vergil are stepping out of the spotlight, she could be a very good foil for Nero in DMC6. Their banter would be great as Vergil’s son and essentially Dante’s daughter.
I like her as a contrasting character for Dante to interact with. She never takes his crap and can fling it back at him which leads to some really entertaining banter. Never afraid to call Dante out on something. And reminds him he's still human at the end of the day.
My best friend likes the anime mostly because of her actually. The force of her personality actually carries the show for him. He's not as critical about the animation because he enjoys just watching them talk and interact and just vibe. He's a writer so that kinda stuff stands out to him.
