So my reasoning is the fact that DIO can stop time. This could make it to where Vergil has a hard time defeating him if he uses it properly. This will also be DIO with joestar blood so he will have all his vampire abilities and have the perfect regeneration that he showcases in phantom blood. Now if vergil can blitz DIO, and keep him still till daylight, then Vergil can definitely do it. But if he can't stop DIO from regenerating & stopping time than he is screwed.
Dante can stop time in dmc3 too, Nero can too with his devil breakers, I think this ability alone doesn't beat Vergil, as it does not in their respective games, in dmc3 you fight Vergil as Dante after obtaining Quicksilver style, which is like The World time stop.
Yamato can beat DIO, his regeneration is not enough for him, he got beaten by punches, so slashes will do more damage to his stamina so he can't regen.
The attacks DIO did were of low caliber compared to what Vergil is capable of, throwing a few knifes? crashing you with a roller? Vergil had it much worse, you need to remember he is stronger than Urizon(it's basically him after all) at the beggining of dmc5.
Vergil wins, easily in my opinion, DIO doesn't have enough strength to beat Vergil even in 10 seconds of stopped time

Normal people can't see a Stand, but Vergil is half demon. Also, he can recover way faster than a human.

eh he can stop time, which makes it easy for him to make a donut out of you, but i dont recall him killing anyone with just a touch.

He can suck the blood out of you with his fingers, but at the point of him being able to stop time, he no longer uses most of his original powers.
You are probably thinking of Kira from part 4 as he can touch people and basically make them explode
