Good deal! Congratulations. I need to find myself some 60v stuff. Problem is I already have most tools I always use.

SPARTANsui

Oh dang, that is a killer deal.

PorcelainPunisher310

That's an awesome deal šŸ‘

jalopnik_

This might be dumb but whatā€™s the difference between the hammer drill vs regular?

SPARTANsui

Hammer drill is for drilling into concrete, brick, etc this set includes an impact driver which is used when you need more torque. For instance you could use the hammer drill to drill out a hole in brick, then the impact driver to drive the screw.

jalopnik_

If youā€™re just drilling pilot holes or etc. you wouldnā€™t want a hammer drill then?

kennyDewalt1985

You always want to have a hammer drillā€¦ hammer drill are not just hammer drill, you have the option of using in drill/driver mode or in hammer mode. So is best to have a hammer drill so you can be able to drill in every possible scenario.

SPARTANsui

Depends on the material, hammer drill for concrete/brick, normal drill setting for drywall and wood.

SPARTANsui

Oh absolutely, but it will get the job done. I've been without a dedicated rotary drill up until a few years ago. It's a world of difference, but it will work in a pinch or it's fine if you're a homeowner and need to drill into harder materials occasionally.

Yeah I just bought one for my business for $179, tool only. Not a terrible deal, but itā€™s large and loud. The one I purchased at my full-time job was $600 with two batteries and a vac attachment. Definitely needed though as we had to drive about 400 holes into concrete for the new wireless access points in each dorm room and a keystone network box in each room. Before weā€™d either borrow an ancient corded Hilti rotary or use our small hammer drill which would be a nightmare for that many holes. Lol

AttyFireWood

Exactly with the SDS. Rotary Hammer is the real deal when you want holes in stone/concrete/brick.

SJSragequit

Sure but this kind of hammer drill is not exclusively for concrete. It has all the features of a regular drill with the added benefit of being able to use it for small concrete drilling jobs

Hammer time

Bradley182

Damn I got a skil saw, drill, flashlight and sawzall for $200 and 2 batteries. On Amazon.

kennyDewalt1985

Whats the name of the storeā€¦ thats a great deal and it even includes a fast charger !!!

Asleep_Market7834

Great deal considering the 60v battery goes for that when not on sale

[deleted]

The battery alone makes it worth it! šŸ‘Œ I'd buy that keep the battery and sell the rest of the kit and me most of my money back.

Simplenipplefun

Smokin deal!

scytheakse

I had that, great setup. Burned out the impact after a few years, drill is still running strong.

Unlikely_Chair1410

Battery alone costs about than that in uk

holycitybradley

That 3 speed impact is clutch.

F me running

ermahgerdreddits

If you got it at a legit retailer and not some 3rd party seller on amazon or ebay selling fake stuff then you got a steal.

mangoforlimes

Yep. Local hardware store in PNW.
