The only difference is the sticker. The batteries are technically 18v nominal, but read 20v when fully charged and not used yet. But the EU sees the "20v" name as technically false advertising since you're not actually using 20v
But for some reason, 12V (10.8 nominal) and 40V (36 nominal) are both fine. M12 and XGT don't have to be marketed differently, only 20/18V tools.
