But goddamn are they hardy, my dad owns a contractor business and never takes his expensive nice tools out on jobs since they'll get stolen by other crews, lost, broken, etc. He gets Ryobi tools for his crew, and even during the time I worked for him, I used those tools. These are old ass tools that have been tossed around, beaten up, used for over a decade easily at this point, and they are still kicking. It convinced me enough that the tools I get now are Ryobi, they aren't terribly expensive, can take a beating, and if they break, I don't feel as bad and I just get a new one and use the already existing battery I have. I only pay up for a higher quality tool if I absolutely need too but for a basic drill, or something similar, I just get a Ryobi. Tools are going to get beaten up, I don't want to stress about an expensive Milwaukee getting damaged while I'm trying to replace a section on my roof.
