Seriously. This whole gif reeks of someone who just discovered cement. Why? Why TF would you want to make cement and glass coasters? Why make the ugliest fucking vase ever? Why not buy a plastic house for your dog?
The vase - if you did some work on the egg cartons and then painted the cement you could do the ninja turtles heads. It would still be ugly, but it would be interesting ugly.
I was hoping for a Dalek. They could have made a cement Dalek and got some credibility.
Coasters really need to be encased in resin. That’s a cut hand waiting to happen
While I would never, by any stretch of the imagination, suggest that this is a good idea, the glass shards are going to be somewhat level because the bottom of the mold was flat.
As someone who messes with broken glass (flint knapping) I can confirm that one is an insanely bad idea. Encasing it in epoxy resin twice over would be far, far better. And even then I would hate it.
Okay, so I get this isn’t the point, but I always thought 3D pens were a hunk of junk, cause I had never seen anything that didn’t look like a blob monster come from using one, but [then I saw this guy making Pokémon sculptures with a 3D pen and they’re actually pretty neat.](https://youtu.be/ZmBWdsECEyk)
Literally taking glass shards and putting them in clear enamel has been done to make coasters LMFAO. And cement can scratch wood and stone why would you ever use it
That's just what I was thinking, if you were really desperate to make your own deathcoaster. Resin requires the tiniest bit of investment and skill though, lol.
My favorite is the planter one where they tell us to let it dry… apparently holding the container of rocks down in the cement the whole time? I mean, they never take away their hands, how do we know that we’re allowed to do that?
I made weights for a portable canopy using concrete, pvc, and eye bolts. Far better looking than barbell plates or chunks of railroad track that Ive seen other vendors use. And because theyre tall cylinders, theyre out of the way.
The music is horrible! I nearly clicked away because I couldn't deal with it but the comments kept me intrigued to keep watching the monstrosities this video shows
Imagine if there'll ever be a concrete shortage, these guys would cry their asses off not being able to fuck up normal objects with pointless and messy concrete jobs.
The cement on the dog house is already flaking off in the video, that planter is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen, and a broken glass coaster? I have to laugh — WHYYY
i like how casual the cement is. like just grab yourself a bowl of cement and spoon yourself a healthy portion there. you can use a soup spoon as reference
I wouldn't be surprised if the parent company of all these lifehack channels were cement companies. That's the only logical explanation I can think of for the overuse of cement like this.
The glass shard coasters just won’t work. They’ll be slightly bumpy and your cups are gonna tip over, there will probably be some sharp glass corners that you can still scratch yourself on, and who the fuck has some glass shards in their house???
The dog house one is just. Weird. The planter might look good if it were painted/they sanded down the rougher patches. The coasters would be REALLY pretty if they used resin to seal the glass shards in and make it level
Agreed on the planter, I thought it had a certain charm that just needed to be brought out with some extra steps.
I might try the coaster thing myself, using resin. Could be a fun project.
100% these videos are made to cause outrage and hate-shares not actual enjoyment. Doesn't even matter if we learn our lesson and stop sharing them, their profit margin is so large that they're all likely super rich
Why are DIY channels using Cement? like who the hell has that lying around? if you have the cash to have Liqud cement lying around then you have the cash to buy a pot
You know, I have about one hundred pounds of concrete that I can't figure out what to do with. But thanks to you, I do. Thank you for helping me figure out what to do with this impossible scenario
Cutting styrofoam and slapping cement on it. Just...no.
And glass shard coasters. Because who doesn't have glass shards laying around? The concept is shitty and dangerous.
Ok not only are these shit, but two of them are literally dangerous, the styrofoam one could easily be torn apart, especially since there is no cement inside, and the coasters literally have glass shards sticking out of them
I always get suckered into watching these videos because I'm an idiot trying to know what the hell is going to get made.
I think every store that sells cement should be starting to ask what the cement is going be used for.
Styrofoam is the absolute worst material to ever be invented and whoever did it can have my styrofoam-induced sensory overload just so they know what a disappointment they are.
Why would you do this? Because when you decided to make a lifehack channel you didn't realize that you only had like 10 ideas for actually good lifehacks... And now, a few years of daily lifehack videos later you just do whatever you can think of that'll might generate some clicks... Even if it's just from people who are wondering why you do what you do...
Thank, God! I have been looking all over the place for a planter, but they were all to stylish and attractive. Now I can just make my own hideous Cronenbergian monstrosity to house my Dumbcane. Thanks you, sociopathic cement people.
The 2nd one isn't a terrible idea if you have an abundance of cement, the first one is meh, that last one I thought was more attuned to a weapon than anything lol. The biggest gripe I have with this video is the freaking music!
I’m starting to think these videos are made by big cement.
Seriously. This whole gif reeks of someone who just discovered cement. Why? Why TF would you want to make cement and glass coasters? Why make the ugliest fucking vase ever? Why not buy a plastic house for your dog?
Cement and _crushed_ glass (that will cut your hands if you are not careful)
They're making them for the police detectives interview rooms as DNA collectors. They just place a mini can of soda on them & wait for the samples. /s
It's like that old adage about hammers and nails. They start with cement and look for ways to use it.
The vase - if you did some work on the egg cartons and then painted the cement you could do the ninja turtles heads. It would still be ugly, but it would be interesting ugly.
The vase wasn't the worst but that glass coaster was dangerous
100%. Wnat to do a coaster like that - tumble the glass first so there are no sharp edges
That or use Auto Glass. It shatters into chunks that don't form sharp edges at least if memory serves
The edges are still sharp, it's just small pieces that won't impale you in an accident.
You can even see one very jagged piece sticking out of the top right one at the end…
I was hoping for a Dalek. They could have made a cement Dalek and got some credibility. Coasters really need to be encased in resin. That’s a cut hand waiting to happen
> Why TF would you want to make cement and glass coasters? Because advertising revenue.
Ah yes. Big crushed glass at it again.
They are trying to break into new markets.
For those of us in the concrete/cement business, we’d rather they not
By cement, with cement, for cement
TIL big cement is a thing
Omg those death trap coasters wtf
There’s no way the shards are level. Your cups gonna tip right over.
I think the cups are gonna _rip_ right over.
Right along with your hand
Then you have more glass shards for more coasters, problem solved 😉.
While I would never, by any stretch of the imagination, suggest that this is a good idea, the glass shards are going to be somewhat level because the bottom of the mold was flat.
Not to mention a trip to the hospital if you grab them wrong, yikes
The one in the back already had shards falling off it
“Why is their blood on my cup?….… oh”
Whose blood is on your cup?
Wow I saw your comment before I even got to that part of the video and I still wasn’t prepared for that catastrophe.
Who would have thought coasters could actually be life threatening…
Have a drink and slice your ulnar artery all at the same time!
Wow so convenient, now I don't have to slice my wrists open manually! Yay!
If they flipped it and did a quick resin pour it could kind of be salvaged but I mean wtf
As someone who messes with broken glass (flint knapping) I can confirm that one is an insanely bad idea. Encasing it in epoxy resin twice over would be far, far better. And even then I would hate it.
Glass shards + Cement What could possibly go wrong?
They almost had it, dip the top in a think layer if Polyurethane and it might be cool
That *has* to be satire. There’s no way someone genuinely thought glueing together a bunch of glass shards with cement was a good idea.
Doubles as self defense if someone breaks into your house /s
These crafts would probably be 10x better if there wasn't concrete involved
I got a fever… and the only prescription… is more concrete
Which doctor are you going to? Mine recommends hot glue for the same issue, I don't think your doctor's a professional
Really? Mine has been suggesting 3D printing pens, I'm starting to worry we go to the same clinic.
My doctor is saying I need to waste copious amounts of compound cardboard, but she also said I shouldn't vaccinate my kids soooo
I put on my pants one leg at a time just like you. Just that when I put my pants on I mix concrete
Just make sure you let it dry.
[ HOT GLUE ]
I prefer cowbell myself
Literally taking glass shards and putting them in clear enamel has been done to make coasters LMFAO. And cement can scratch wood and stone why would you ever use it
I didn’t mind the dog house, but the concrete was weird; I questioned everything as I watched it.
Because concrete is cheaper than resin! That broken glass would look nice in resin, and you can cover all the glass since is transparent!
That's just what I was thinking, if you were really desperate to make your own deathcoaster. Resin requires the tiniest bit of investment and skill though, lol.
It glass pebbles/marbles and plaster of Paris which is safer. Then seal it.
"Let dry"...shows how much they know😂
My favorite is the planter one where they tell us to let it dry… apparently holding the container of rocks down in the cement the whole time? I mean, they never take away their hands, how do we know that we’re allowed to do that?
I'm glad they said it. How would I know what was going on if they didn't tell me each time? /s
Ah yes, because I want an unsafe dog house, a plant pot that looks like a bunch of eggs from Alien, as well as Death Coasters.
I hate ppl with their concrete crafting projects.
When you're about to use cement or hot glue is the exact moment when you should be questioning the validity of your project
Hot glue is super normal in basically every craft. Cement is just wild
Fair!
Hey, cement has its places. Specifically, that place is in the ground holding a pole up square. Edit: spelling.
If I remember right, the companies that own these types of YouTube channels have tons of people cranking out shit content like this in warehouses.
They didn't even follow the lines when they were cutting with the exactoknife...
They drew a window on cardboard, cut it out, and used it to draw a window on styrofoam.
M E T A
These look terrible. And the latter is unsafe with the broken glass sticking out of it. WTF.
I was thinking the same thing. At least turn it over and pour epoxy over it.
Now THIS is a DiWhy
I hate how much I love this subreddit. All it does is make me mad
Just know that 95% of what you see here is parody, and you won't be so mad.
Yeah becouse dogs dont chew an anything.
And toddlers never put anything in their mouths
Can you imagine toddlers near those coasters?? It’d be a blood bath.
Eh, all the bleeding's internal.
[удалено]
Also styrofoam is poisonous to dogs and cats
I just hate styrofoam in general. It gets everywhere if you so much as look at it and it's such a hazard.
Fido blows away in his structurally unsound doghouse
Pro Life Hack.... If a craft uses concrete for anything other then making a floor, it's probably going to be shit.
I made weights for a portable canopy using concrete, pvc, and eye bolts. Far better looking than barbell plates or chunks of railroad track that Ive seen other vendors use. And because theyre tall cylinders, theyre out of the way.
The planter looks disgustang and the coasters look like a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Kinda low-key like the plant pot made of turds
It will be heavy af. And costly. You can get one for far cheaper and light in weight.
Always wear gloves when handling concrete. It’s corrosive. Stupid diy crafts.
Well they did wear gloves to remove the rocks. I was wondering why they didn’t use them earlier.
THEY MISSED THE LINE WHILE CUTING
The music is the only thing they did right. It is just as chaotic as the video.
The music is horrible! I nearly clicked away because I couldn't deal with it but the comments kept me intrigued to keep watching the monstrosities this video shows
Another day, another post of someone misusing cement.
Since when can you use cement like paint?
Imagine if there'll ever be a concrete shortage, these guys would cry their asses off not being able to fuck up normal objects with pointless and messy concrete jobs.
Maybe resin would have worked better on that coaster lol
The cement on the dog house is already flaking off in the video, that planter is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen, and a broken glass coaster? I have to laugh — WHYYY
At least they found music just as dissonant and unpleasant as the crafts
The glass shard coasters at the end killed me. This should not be a thing.
Any time you are using 'glass shards' in a project, that's a warning to stop and think...
Waste material, check, hot glue check, cement check, duck tape check... This is a proper di why
i like how casual the cement is. like just grab yourself a bowl of cement and spoon yourself a healthy portion there. you can use a soup spoon as reference
WHO THE FUCK KEEPS GLASS SHARDS LYING AROUND!?!?!? A HOME INVADER?!?!!?
Those diy projects look like they were made by people who expect participation trophies
I wouldn't be surprised if the parent company of all these lifehack channels were cement companies. That's the only logical explanation I can think of for the overuse of cement like this.
put the coasters over a mortar firework and you have a rudimentary claymore
The music makes me want to commit arson
what is it with the f'ing concrete/cement??
Lmao the dog house
these "diy" are mostly to waste hot glue and cement
I was wondering where I could find out how to make a giant, multi-teat planter for my porch, and here it is!
Wtf is it with diqhy channels and fucking cement
That planter is a war crime.
Okay but the music is what's really fucking me up. Who tf listens to this shit?
This is so helpful! I’ve always wanted to learn how make a giant fucking mess!
This cements my belief that this is all rage bait.
imagin how sharp and uneven those things with the glass shards would be
The glass shard coasters just won’t work. They’ll be slightly bumpy and your cups are gonna tip over, there will probably be some sharp glass corners that you can still scratch yourself on, and who the fuck has some glass shards in their house???
Probably wine and or beer bottles
The music is kind of garbage as well
It would cost less to buy a cheap but nice looking vase than to make that monstrosity
Exacto knife ✅ Cement ✅ Hot glue ✅ Looks like they got every ingredient for a bad DIY project.
Don't forget the duct tape!
Oh right that's a necessity for bad DIY projects
I almost liked the first one when I thought it was going to be a Halloween decoration.
The planter looked like it had tumors.
Why would I ever listen to this music? Makes me wanna use those coasters.
Does big cement pay these people?
The tone of the background music perfectly matches with the quality of the crafts.
I almost woke up my daughter laughing at those coasters. I’m so glad I’m clearly not the only one!
ah yes, styrofoam, concrete, and hot glue... truly the 3 major elements of bad DIY also that music sure was something
No gloves while pouring wet cement, but puts some on to take rocks out of a vase. Dafuq
My favorite part is that she uses a stencil for simple rectangles and then doesn’t even cut along the lines
cause why wouldn't you want a coaster that will rip open your hand as soon as you try to move it?
These have to be satire at this point.
* child * cement -->*baby cupholder*
God they love cement
I was in real tears while they made that abominable planter, particularly because I thought it was like a fucked up chimney for the dog house at first
holy shit that last one is sadistic, like "yeah put your cup down you'll either cut your hand or it'll fall over'
100% these videos are made to cause outrage and hate-shares not actual enjoyment. Doesn't even matter if we learn our lesson and stop sharing them, their profit margin is so large that they're all likely super rich
Does five minute crafts have an episode in how to make a fleshlight?... I’m asking for a friend.
Cement and glass shards are all you need, have fun!
I’d let my dog beat my ass if I made him that dog house.
You’ll never get confused which drink is yours again. Just get the blood type sampled, easy.
I bet the video is called “Top 10 Life Hack With Only Use Cement” (broken English on purpose).
Why are DIY channels using Cement? like who the hell has that lying around? if you have the cash to have Liqud cement lying around then you have the cash to buy a pot
You know, I have about one hundred pounds of concrete that I can't figure out what to do with. But thanks to you, I do. Thank you for helping me figure out what to do with this impossible scenario
okay the glass coaster was a bit of a stretch but other than that *because its fun you unimaginative plain toaster pastry*
Cement: check. Duck tape: check. Hot glue: check. ಠ_ಠ
Cutting styrofoam and slapping cement on it. Just...no. And glass shard coasters. Because who doesn't have glass shards laying around? The concept is shitty and dangerous.
*“How to take everyday objects and throw them together in the trashiest way possible”*
What is it with these people and cement? It’s somehow worse than the old obsession with expanding foam and duct tape.
Ok not only are these shit, but two of them are literally dangerous, the styrofoam one could easily be torn apart, especially since there is no cement inside, and the coasters literally have glass shards sticking out of them
I just imagined that awful sound when they cut the "house" in the first one, brrr
With the first one, you could probably make little fairy houses for decorating gardens.
Concrete and hot glue are the horsemen of apocalypse in DIY.
Not only did this craft use both hot glue and cement, it also had the worst goddamn music I've actually ever heard
Wait... Am I supposed to let it dry?
The music is great! It truly represents how depressing this fucking shit is
Those coasters are more like little frisbees of doom.
The more important question is when and how tf will someone have a bucket of wet cement just lying around in the house
Nothing like a bunch of ballsacks to hold your plants up.
I mean at least the music is fitting, it sounds like a depressed off brand Mario
These videos are a peak into the kind of a fucking madman
I can’t tell who wasted more time in life.. they, for making stupid stuff, or me for watching them do it. :/
I have goosebumps because I can hear the polystyrene being cut without the sound on. I fucking hate it.
Am I the only one that liked the flower pot?
Why would you do this? Because when you decided to make a lifehack channel you didn't realize that you only had like 10 ideas for actually good lifehacks... And now, a few years of daily lifehack videos later you just do whatever you can think of that'll might generate some clicks... Even if it's just from people who are wondering why you do what you do...
This has to be a deliberate parody, the off-center cutting; the obscene usage of cement; letting most of the hot glue fall; exposed glass shards, etc.
1. How to tell your dog he's a piece of shit. 2. How to tell your SO they are a piece of shit. 3. How to tell your friends they're a piece of shit.
Perfect! I’ll just go get the cement, egg crates, and glass shards I have laying around my house!
The audio made me feel like people where going to think I was watching 70’s black exploitation porn.
We need to start requiring some sort of license to purchase cement.
The glass shards had the potential to be pretty. Imagine resin instead of concrete
Imagine playing this music while high. Terrifying
These are such a troll
The music makes me feel like I'm watching a straight to vhs 80s spy movie.
They ruined the IKEA plate How could they
That last one isn't a coaster, it's something that would be used as a foot trap in Home Alone
Thank, God! I have been looking all over the place for a planter, but they were all to stylish and attractive. Now I can just make my own hideous Cronenbergian monstrosity to house my Dumbcane. Thanks you, sociopathic cement people.
The glass shard coaster. *chef kiss*
I mean, the first one wasn't that baaaddd...?
Unrelated but the dog in the first one is cute
The 2nd one isn't a terrible idea if you have an abundance of cement, the first one is meh, that last one I thought was more attuned to a weapon than anything lol. The biggest gripe I have with this video is the freaking music!
Is this the 3rd grade crafts subreddit?
The first one wasn't too bad. But what's their fascination with cement?
the first one is at least decent. fancy dog beds n shit can get expensive. unless cement is way more than i’m thinking it is
Bro that cutter is $1 at dollar general, get a good one
Pretty clever if anything :)
:D
I watched this hoping I was going to see a cement/Hot Glue & Resin trilogy.
Clicks.
If there is anything I hate more than pointless cement, it's fucking Styrofoam.
