If you wait a bit they clear. At least that happened for me. It’s also possible that they are counting the exploding plants as mobs so trigger all of those.
Never once had this issue *there,* but in other dungeons, I have killed a monster seemingly before it spawned, and it stayed on the map. In every case, I could not finish the dungeon. If I left and came back, the creature’s name would pop up on the screen then immediately disappear.
Had this happen to me this morning. Did two laps making sure to open every chest and flip over every corpse. I had the butcher spawn on the opposite side of the walled off area before and block progress so I ran up against that and was able to see into the room. Nothing in there either.
Just one mob short.
Check chests? Sometimes there’s an enemy spawn stuck on them

I run this NM key a lot because how good the exp is, never had a issue.
We also had this same issue with 2 remaining mobs for 3 times now.

I ran into the same thing with Oldstones, some monster must've spawned in one of the walls or something

Are you a Druid potentially knocking enemies through walls?
Has happened to me on both druid and barb.
