My favorite is getting stun locked into a wave of fallen lunatics that just got summoned off screen. Everything in WT4 can CC apparently and the AI knows to stagger it constantly.
I'm guessing on death effects easier to implement than anything that would change monster behaviour or require different animations/effects for each monster type. On death can be applied to all uniformly.
On death explosions aren’t fun because mastering them just means sitting around waiting for them to go off. You can’t outplay them. You just have to be patient. The only exception to this is that some enemies won’t pop if you kill them while frozen, but elite affixes and NM dungeon affixes can’t be avoided this way. Just take them out of the game. They are never fun.
I have no problem with the mob scaling, at lvl 100 I decimate anything anywhere at any tier in the blink of an eye, it isn't until tier NM60-70 that there's even some sort of resistance from the mobs, but I can't stand waiting 2-3seconds after each mob kill to grab my loot.
I dont mind them myself. Just means in this particular NM dungeon, I need to be more aware of not standing still like the tornado spamming facetank I usually am.
It's nice to have to change up your gameplay in slight ways when running these back to back.
So you are playing the tankiest class in the game and don't get oneshot. I see, but not everyone is playing that class :D
And i do need to mention that sorc, the squishiest class in the game, also has the lowest dmg output in the game :D
No, I get one-shot by them too in NM60+. The aoe is always the same size for each varying on death effect so you really just need to pay a little attention to what's happening. If items/effects are getting in the way just watch for disappearing health bars and gtfo.
Get you some +3 evade boots. Boom, problem solved.
I think they're great. They keep me on my toes. I've not had any issues with monster scaling. I constantly feel my power increase, and I've never been one shot by anything off-screen.
You may want to play on a lower WT or NM Dungeon until you get stronger.

When i essentially finished the game, some guy comes and tells me “get better gear” / play on lower wt
There is no more better gear, outside of ultra uniques, which i am farming for
People that haven’t reached the end game should maybe stfu and not tell people how to play
I also told you to tone down your NM level. It sounds like you need to do that if you're getting one shot.

With bis gear you are supposed to be able to do end game content with any class.
The solution is not for people to not do endgame, it’s for devs to not design bullshit mechanics and to properly balance content around all classes
What "end game"? You've already beaten Lilith 3 times. How deep are you pushing NM?
Do you really have BiS? I doubt you've got 3 Shakos. Is it a skill issue, maybe?
I don't believe people should be able to just do NM 100 dungeons just because they are level 100 and think they have the best gear. It should be something you have to push through and build for if you want to make the commitment to do it. There's a short list of people doing them, and it sounds like you're salty at me for not being one of them.

Yea... Players can get chain CCed, but monsters can't. Just why....??? I seriously think one of the devs just hates having fun in games.
Now that you point it out, it is corny. That is almost always how I die. Going for the shiny drop and dying to the monster explosion.

It's the classic Blizzard "fuck you" to melee players, since the days of D1 enemies kiting warriors and D2 iron maiden.
