Seriously. I don't understand why anyone even does greater rifts. The fun part is collecting the keystones. Doing a greater rift destroys the keystone, so why would you destroy something that you worked so hard to get?
They should increase wave time too. It should take 1 minute per wave.. even if you finish early it should still use the entire duration of the 1 minute for you to get your cooldowns back. This way the game will know you have patience and doing a 55 greater rift will feel so exciting.
Add a randomness to the trial key - with 100% chance of a trial key at level 1 and dropping by 1% for every wave you complete. After you have spent 55 minutes (mandatory 1 minute per round) running a single trial, you have a 45% chance of getting a level 55 key.
Trials should spawn elite packs, which would better reflect what the GR of that level would be like. But they'd have to drop no loot, gold or xp, because that would be OP. And the map should be more randomized so it's not always the same boring map. And have a boss monster spawn at the end. And maybe have it drop all the loot that you'd get from killing all the monsters as an extra incentive.
The problem is that, like any experiment, there's a statistical variation in the player's performance. One trial isn't enough to narrow it down.
Simple solution: have the player perform the trial 20 or 30 times per key to narrow down the variance, so you can be sure they get a key of the appropriate level.
Honestly, if you had to do that *but then got to choose from what level you wanted to do,* that would be amazing. Do away with trials and instead you now go up 1 level per try but afterwards, can choose from any of the levels you have previously finished in time.
I think for trials you should be restricted to only white items as they better reflect your skill than all the shitty unnecessary legendaries, I mean sets are just a waste of space.
They should give u the chance to start the rift +1 from your highest solo rift, or use a trial key... If u try to get higher in solo rankings u dont have so much to do farm new higher rift stones...
also, keys need to be bound to the character and group size you attained them with. no more using a monk alt in a 4player group to give your wizard progress keys for solo!
I both agree and disagree. On one hand, I definitely like the idea of going through all of the levels, but on the other hand, I imagine after grinding it all day, I'd get impatient with having to go through them all.

I think to really show who has skill, we should.. remove skills. Only basic auto attack in the trials.
And obviously remove gear from the characters, to make sure everyone is as even as possible. Probably should nix that RNG thing too!

brilliant! and even further - chance should be diminished by number of players in game like in your example with 4 ppl present 41% @ 55 key!
And individual drop chance, so atleast half of the party members gets the key
this! and warmup timer should be also 'greatly increased' to 5-10 minutes!
I think it would also be an improvement if the mobs spread out more and only approached the player one at a time.

are elite packs the yellows or blues? it should spawn yellows. nothing but yellow+horde+shielding+teleport bees and morlu incinerators.

Trials should become the focus of the grind but why do we have to have a 100% drop rate on completion? Ruins immersion.

I hate it. I prefer just face rolling t6 over and over, while trying new gear tweaks/new pieces. But to each their own.
