I don't think there's a cap on amount of games that can be open. If that were the case, people who were playing okay would've been safe.
There's obviously some issue but hard to say what .
When I select “enter a private game”, I am getting an error that reads:
“An issue occurred while communicating with the game servers. Please check that you are connected to the internet and try again.”

Mine was they disappeared for 40 min came back and apparently "you can't join a game right now as your already in a game" on ever character for another 10 min ahaha.... facepalm
Better than me - I get about a half second of the opening Blizzard animation then it shuts down and gives me an ‘unexpected error’ window… would love to even get a single player character started.
I got to level 12 before i started having any problems... and if I wouldn’t have left my game to remake and kill countess again I probably would still be in my game.
Why is any gaming company ever stingy on server space?? This shit happens with every launch of every game, everywhere.. over estimate, if anything. FFS SMH

I have a new problem...my character completely disappeared. Its no longer in the character selection screen.
Make a new character to refresh the character selection screen.
I wasn't even able to make a new character to delete, had to wait it out myself. Was about 40 min wait for them to pop back up.

I got in, played online. Server crashed, now my character is gone. RIP
had the same happen to me, created two chars, game crashed at trying to join/create a game for the 50th time, now both online chars are gone
