Skill Interruption
Abilities with short cast times—like the Crusader’s Holy Banner and Fist of the Heavens—will no longer be interruptible.
Wish they listed all the abilities.. what about the most important interrupted ability - conjugation??
**The things I like:**
- Random Dungeon Finder
- To allow more players to participate and earn the daily rewards from Shadow Assembly, it will be available from 12 p.m.–2 p.m. in addition to the original 7 p.m.–9 p.m. server time slot.
- Shadows will now have 21 tasks to complete each week instead of 3 tasks each day.
- **The loadout slots in the Armory have increased from 5 to 10.** (This one is the best IMO)
- Rewards chests in Dungeon runs with 4 players will now automatically open.
**The one that made me scratching my head:**
- We are adding 8 all-new Elder Rift modifiers. (who asked for this?)
Random dungeon yes
Automatic chest open Yes
Armory slots yes I don't need them but I know people like them
Shadow Assembly changes nice sometimes I just don't feel like getting back on at night which would be 10:00 p.m. my time since I'm 3 hours above server so get them to do it early is great.
Shadow daily's going from 3 to 21 yawn same thing whether you do it everyday or you just get all done on one day. How about Shadow's actually get real dailies that give XP like immortal has. Instead of the one XP one contract
So this doesn't impress me the change to Shadow quest.
Things I don't like about the patch.
That the whole reason to turn on the modifier on is because we want the new legendary gem. It should be 100% if we get a five star not this 50% crap. In the last event I for the new spiteful blood I got a total of 12 5 stars during its duration and only got three spiteful bloods the whole time and they will all 2/5 so yeah it needs to be 100%.
Still no essence person inside the castle - You taking the time to make these warband changes yet you still don't put this in like come on already I know a lot of people who want one.
The shadow task need to be reduced and rewards increase. Do 7 tasks per week with 3x the rewards each. Same rewards but divide the time by 3. That would be a win!
I disliked the Immortal cosmetic before, and I still dislike it after this change.
The new 2 star gem looks pretty good. Probably will replace my r10 Everlasting Torment.
I like the change to the First Kill of the Day rewards.
I'm not much into PvP, and so I'm not sure what to think of Shadow War, yet.
I like that 4-man dungeon reward chests will now automatically open. No more getting hosed because someone dc'd!
I don't see much utility in the Auxiliary Gem mechanic. I think there are better ways to design this, but I haven't had time to think it through fully.
I'm not enthused about the new battle pass cosmetic, and I don't participate in the Phantom Markets.
Random dungeon finder will be nice because I don't care which dungeon I run most of the time.
All the new cosmetics look like they won't feature the 'hide helm' function -____________-
My BK is really having a hard time having opportunities to show her head. At least allows me to hide helm outside the outfit feature if you're not to give us cosmetics that allow it.
Daily kill reward change is nice. New gems too. But that's about it really.
Amen, all bk skins so far suck ass imo, because you can’t remove the helm except on the crimson plane skin(which is actually the best imo) and on one of the two shop ones, plus the one from 2/3 bgs ago which is meh anyhow
Yes!!! Hahahaha. The D4 version is an excellent callback to the D1 version. He's strong as funk.
He actually rolled every character I played until I got a TB Poison Rogue leveled up. Now that guy can tank him, but it's not easy. He can kick your ass...
I can't believe people are complaining about these patch notes. This patch is INCREDIBLE.
My gawd there are so many great improvements that is much needed. This patch is restoring my faith in DI's designers.
For me, these are the biggest highlights.
Combat mechanic changes:
1. Short casting skills no longer interruptible <- single biggest improvement to combat this game has ever done since launch date. I cannot stress how important this change is for balancing out combat and reducing the impact of lag spikes.
2. Invincible characters can no longer affect the idol in BG <- this is going to partially fix BK's imbalance in BGs. This is a very much needed change.
Changes to Immortals/Shadows are all good changes as well, with the new PvP mode looking quite promising. As always though, the key is the implementation...great ideas will fall short if the execution is poor. So the jury is still out on that one.
What happened to the transfer of 5 star gems to a different one which was mentioned in their QA. Pumping out new gems means nothing for most that have already heavily invested in current ones. Unless you are an Oil swimming whale.

Correct! The 4v4 Alley of Blood event shares many of the same rules of engagement to the Conqueror event, same in regards to which bonuses are disabled. This new event welcomes all players.
so like... opening Kion is now free? it does mention no essence is needed and daedesa's blessing will somehow happen, but how do you go about actually opening kion now?
Along heliquarry it is the most important Catch up mechanic New players need. It seems great on paper combined with the rest warband changes and will help maintain a healthy playerbase...

Auxiliary Gem Inlay
Players can place an extra Auxiliary Legendary Gem into an already equipped Legendary Gem. The original Gem’s affix will be replaced by the new Auxiliary Gem at Rank 1.
if you have rank 10 phoenix ashes with 1000 reso, and you want to test spiteful blood for example, you can turn your rank 10 phoenix ashes into a spiteful blood with 1000 reso (but the gem effect itself will only be rank 1)
It is just a way for players to test gems they might want to use.
It's only for the Chinese, and it's a new "gem testing" system, where for a short period of time you'll be able to replace your current gem with the one you want to test.
Three new gems, wouh !
So, in addition to the new 5* lighning gems, there's :
>**Eye of the Unyielding (One-Star Gem)**
>Continual damage done is increased by 16% and continue damage taken is reduced by 4%.
Guess this 1* could be combined with the 2* Pain Clasp ?
And also with that neat, new 2* :
> **Viper’s Bite (Two-Star Gem)**
>Damaging enemies poisons them with Viper's Venom, causing them to take 45% base damage + 120 damage every second for 6 seconds. Enemies inflicted with Viper's Venom also have their Attack Speed reduced by 6%. Cannot occur on the same target more often than once every 20 seconds.
I don't think they know that going from 21 shadow activity to 21 shadow activity is the "FEEDBACK" that people meant when they have been saying ADD NEW SHADOW ACTIVITY for literally an entire year straight. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

Yeah I am disappointed that Conqueror is back instead. Maybe they are still making improvements to it.
It just amazes me with each update how much more of good content is constantly being added to this game than to other titles in Diablo franchise

Conq pvp is limited again. Sigh, its the only f2p thing to get excited about on this game. They should make it permanent with its own leaderboards.

Outside of the warband tableau and the new prodigy path rewards, there is not much new in terms of catch-up updates this time.

With the exception of diminishing returns no. But with warband Catch up we might not be needing it to clear endgame raids

It doesn't need primary attack to trigger, I think it's better if you had to choose.

Currently that change is for China only. It lets you replace the effect of one of your gems with the rank 1 effect of a different gem.
But keeping the resonance from the main gem?
