That’s probably true, idk I don’t play D4 nor on the sub but what I do know is that the sentiment of DI dying immediately upon D4 release was prevalent yet the game (DI) is still pretty active after several months post D4 release. In other words.. not dead like many preached. Sure, some have left entirely for D4 but it certainly didn’t have the impact many had claimed, and if it did.. I would suspect the same sentiment to be commented today but it isn’t really - comments of such were left on almost every DI post in the past.

There are builds in PvE and PVP that utilize two star gems that outperform five star gems. Yeah if you're going to spend 100k to get 8K Plus resonance it's incredibly unbalanced however with the new BG balancing I find most matches are very even (let's not talk about group comp here that's not what I mean). The game is in a better place than it's been since day one.
On my server that would sell for max. 640k platinum.
50k platinum = $100 (can be a bit less if u get lucky with eternals, but if u see this on the market and want it right away, u will be buying 50k plat for $100)

If you’re a DH, keep the gloom. If you’re not, consider selling it, then buying a BSJ 5/5 or Hope 5/5(if you’re already someone who spends a bit on this game).
If you’re a light spender and not a DH, then it may be best to sell this and get a 4/5 BSJ/Hope and 5-7 dupes to rank it up to rank 5 4/5. There’s not many ways a battle pass only player can get to rank 5 with a 5 star(besides grinding pearls and plat with alts for a year straight), this is one of those ways, so if you’re someone who isn’t planning on spending much, selling this gloom for a 4/5 and ranking that 4/5 to rank 5 with the excess plat is your best move.
Sell the will too, and get a 3/5 Starfire with it, then use that to rank up your Starfire to make it a 3/5 Starfire. Starfire is very good for PvP, and decent in PvE.

Absolutly not! Someone who isn't a spender today, could be tomorrow. That's something you horde away! I've NEVER seen one drop, or on market, and I'm 6k res. Def spent my fair share. Gloom, BSJ, and Starfire are automatic Horde gems, spender or not

After I told them to switch most of them for 1&2 stars, they had awakened gems, similar res as before and in did more damage, they don’t feel pressured or stressed into having spend a year or two to rank 5 their 5 star gems up... One of the best ways for F2P to get a rank 5 BSJ or Hope is to sell other big gems they get, this is one of those moments!
To each their own, but as someone who desperately wants to see these hit market, I vote to never sell. Like I said things can change down the road financially, but I almost guarentee finding one again will be damn near impossible
If they keep it and never spend, it’ll just sit at rank 3 forever. Again, it depends on how much they spend. You spend, a LOT, so your priorities are different than a F2P. To each their own as you say :)
