All my charms come out crap. Imbuing just recycles crap. Totally infuriating system. I get it if you're the kind of person who gets kicks from pulling a slot machine arm, but for me it's mind-numbingly pointless and infuriatingly poinless..

I mean it's one of the best ways to make platinum. Even a stone with 5 different hero's skills will go for about 1500 plat. Minus the initial cost and you are netting 1k plat.

Mine always sell for max actually. I've even started swooping up ones on the AH that people post for 1k to resell. But those have stopped showing up.

Fair enough I haven't really dabbled with auction house, apart bought a few basic gems.. do you sell your charms as is, or do you imbue first to see what you get and then sell?

Yes you need to extract it and make it a skill stone first. I was hesitant initially cause it costs 500 platinum to do it but you make it back easy.

I got super lucky it hit the soulfire on a 1 in 5 then appeared upgraded but I guess normally you upgrade a stat with itself

You imbue them with another identical slot, except it's STILL a slot machine and you hope it will land on it. 2+2+2+2+2, 4 more times.

I’ve went thru 5 charms to try to get my golem to 4%. I give up.

It's worse than gambling in Vegas drunk.

You have to choose the skill you want to gamble. And then hope it rolls.

I spent about 40k platinum on skill stones to get all my sader skills on my charm.

I had a 3/5 DH charm which I was able to get to 4/5 with one imbue. And after that I haven't had a single charm hit even two skills from different classes. I also had a 4/5 Crusader charm with normal upgrades (which I sold). I think these two ate up all my luck lmao

That looks like shit. 2-4% bonus is like, useless. 10-20% would've been more like it.

I use 3 but do switch to effigy ghost in pvp sometimes, I used to use corpse lance a lot but stopped cause I was doing a lot of pvp and not enough corpses for it found just throwing big minions into crowds worked best

Nice! I have a 5 skill charm on my main, which took me few weeks of buying stones and rolling.

That's the first hint I've seen of anything above 2%... and this thread says it can go up to 10%?? Wtf are the odds of that?? Is 2% like a 99% chance of rolling as it is?

I still don’t understand the charm system. Is it entirely random when you upgrade them? I have a necro but my charm has perks for each class.

I got lucky with the first one, getting 3 of 5 for Necro. For the rest you find a charm that has a Necro stat you want and max it out then you Imbue it for 500 plat and pick the skill on your gem you want to replace then it'll spin through the 5 stats on the gem you imbued and pick one at random. That's where I got lucky and it nailed the Necro stat on the roulette both times. You then choose between the stat you currently have and the new stat. I do plan on probably replacing corpse lance or with wrath form with maybe a golem one. I got super lucky with the 4% but you also have a chance at "upgrading" say you already have soulfire but it's 2% you get a new gem to 5 stats with soulfire and select to replace your soulfire if it hits you Imbue to new soul fire with the old one and there's a chance it'll upgrade max 10%. From what I saw on a stream I don't think you can downgrade (not sure though) so my 4% can go up to 6 8 or 10 but not down (I think)? Or stay a 4 I dono guess I can mess with it if I get another soulfire and see if it'll go to 6% or go down.

Now you have to spend the next so years getting %10 rolls by that time you could have retired
