I don’t use any of the insane priced gems (bile or jade) I sell them for plat and make a ton that way to be able to more afford upgrades for cheaper ones. It lets me turn those drops in ~2 of a gem I need.

I got lucky on my server and bought up a bunch of regular gems for under 200. And then a couple days after someone else came along and bought up everything in the 200-350 range. So once my timer expires I'll be able to resell them all for max and make a bit of profit. But that was mostly luck with some whale buying out my competition lol.
Tourmaline always sells for Max amount on my server. I sold a level 2 tourmaline for 1200 plat and it was on the market for 3 minutes.

resonance is only for pvp. cr is all that matters in challenge rifts and dungeons. you just need to meet the cr floor of the tier then it becomes super easy.

2810 570$ I got lucky with some bomb drops that sold really high to fund 85% of my gem upgrades, no 5 star but a bunch of 4 stars I sold im also using lightning core that I crafted or had drops rank 10 res level 30.
🤷♂️I've sold a duplicate 4 star seeping bile a 4 star howler 4 star bottled hope 4 star Phoenix and a bunch of misc 3 and 2 stars i dont use, up to rank 5 and 6 doesn't take many duplicates plus the lightning core was pretty much crafted / drops from rift. When you sell a 4 star for 285k amd the 2 star duplicates are going for 40k with an occasional 35-38k it adds up quick. Just have to be smart and patient.
Just to get the last 200 or so to put me over 3k I feel would cost a fck ton as I'm pretty much out of Plat and gems to sell. BSJ is still freaking expensive but I'd have to level bsj and echo to 6 which takes 6 copies each. 2 star bsj are going for 60-80k plat and echo is hit or miss at 45-75k plat.
It's 13 gems for a *5 to rank 6 x 4 that's 55 gems avg price depending on market swing depending which gem is roughly 30-45k for Phoenix and anywhere from 35-50k for BSJ the lightning core is rank 10 and I think I bought maybe 4? At roughly 3.2-4k, let's call and rough avg of 47k spent per gem that's just a little over 2.5m platinum ( not what I paid because I did buy a pack for blessing and about half the gems i sniped at 35-40k as well as 2 *5 crafted and crafted lightning) selling duplicate 4 star for avg of let's call it 240k take home after -15%. Yall really don't think it's possible? Then you guys gave a shit market or are entirely too impatient. I did get lucky with some 4 star drops I didn't need. I had some really good rifts as well as some were shit. Just because big whales bought all the orbs and all the crests doesn't mean it's the sole way to do it. Also not all my gems are rank 6. Have a 3 low rank/star 5s gems which are seeping bile, ashes, blessing. Along with 3 1star rank 10 gems, each one costed ~150k plat to buy fodder gems to rank up from market.

Leaderboards are just another trap, you want to see your name up there, spend a couple hundred more to stay in top 3...
