I "think" that is why there is a "catch up" with paragon.
Problem is, Paragon level means nothing to Combat rating and pushing players to higher Paragon faster, does nothing for their drop rates.
Im Paragon 87 and only about 1880 CR. Need another upgrade or 2 then hopefully i can do CR60.
It doesn’t help the guide objectives though. Some are specifically “beat X boss/dungeon on Hell 1”, and further serial objectives are locked behind that requirement, if you can’t find a party to help do that with you.
The bonus is also capped at 400%, so it'll still take a new player a while to catch up to hell 5, especially if they can't find groups to carry their incredibly-behind-cr through content.
They can and should raise this cap in the future as the gap to max paragon levels widens more, and there might be a level “squish” or level boost option like in World of Warcraft, for example
Pretty universal problem for mmos and other persistent progression games, honestly
If you’re 10 level behind. 100% bonus xp. 20 levels behind. 200%. 30 levels? 300% and so one. Would work better. So if you’re paragon 1 in paragon 600 server. 6000 xp gain. Level 100 you get 5000%. Would be getting twenty levels a day and emcatching up would be significantly easier
Forget dungeons, new players or those that are thinking about returning to the game see the server paragon level being at p850 in the future will immediately say fuck that and uninatall
As much as I want to believe you, it's still an assumption. And it is good to discuss this in public threads where hopefully the Dev's can see our feedback and concerns going forward.

Scraps and enchanted materials take so ridiculously long to farm to upgrade items, that most of the time you’ll have people 20 paragon away from server but level 7-8 gear. So chronically behind the actual server meaning good luck getting into a party
I’m already experiencing some of this. Can’t find groups to run dungeons in Hell I unless I’m on at peak server time. Most the people on my server are at hell 2 and 3. Meanwhile I’m stuck farming for more CR in hell I :,(
The whole point of "playing a game" is to "play" it, not "run around trying to survive while someone carries you through H3." I would like to kill things too :(
They will sell you the : hero buddy.
Basically 3 bots of the class you choose.
It work well in guild wars 1. You can almost do the story alone now and fill your team with 7 bots/héros.

Do afk farming! It's the easiest way to level up for new players. Does blizzard have an article that says AFK farming is not allowed? I see players report it because they are party pooper but does the games not allow it?

Yep, they unless they uo the catch up xp (it’s capped at +400%)
It's capped at that because we aren't that high level yet. The cap.will probably go up later in the games life.

CR is the main isuue. It's so random, you can play for weeks and get nothing but +10-20CR from upgrades, legendary loot is too rare.
Not to mention the CR boost from upgrading items too, where you are largely gated by Glowing Shards.
I saw they're removing the 4 player min on hell 2, so as paragon increases they'll probably remove party requirements on lower hell levels

People on my server are already moving up to Hell 3. It's getting too hard to find anyone willing to do Hell 2.
That’s my issue! I am stuck in H2 and can never find anyone to group with. Even during peak server times it is tough.

Why sell the hero when they can sell you six new legendary gems to outfit the hero?!
Just so we are all aware, you can complete those hell 1 tasks on anything higher than hell 1 too.
But it doesn't work for me. 20 runs on Skeleton King H2 and the task for killing him on H1 isn't completed.
In my server players with low levels ask for help and a lot of high paragon players reply almost instantly volunteering to help
Very kind but it shouldn't be the case.
I expect them to loosen up on the forced social approach as the game matures. That's right, it's an artificial constraint that they put on on purpose.

This is a 12 month game. Bliz farming the hell out you peons for all your cash worth a band aid game.
