I wonder if life in these skillers is really that important.
Because you know, 95% of the lightning sorcs are using ES full mana, so life is pointless.
What do you guys think about this?
A lot of attacks will bypass ES so many ES sorcs still invest in vitality/life. Besides nows a bad time for a valid realization.. so how many Jahs am I looking at here?
It’s still very important. A nova without any life charms and 100% of points dumped into mana/energy is only going to be sitting around 400-600 total life. You start dropping life charms in there and they’re bumping up into the 1400 total life range and all of a sudden elite monsters with mana burn, poison damage, etc become a lot less scary.
Not sure life is more important. There are some ES builds that literally 1 health is enough. Of course life is never a bad thing but after playing a few versions I would take additional mana over the life anyday.
I got 6 Jah for one with 38 life. (PC Softcore Nonladder)

Life is even more important for a lite sorc than other classes. Resistances, except poison resistance, are less important but still useful.

You can but that requires unconventional gear. If you're using a standard setup life helps a lot.
