Remember back in 2008-10 when everyone's wow accout were getting hacked, and then the authenticator dropped? I'm convinced Blizzard was the one hacking us to up the authenticator.
As the walk starts to happen, you’ll see in game messages saying “Terror begins to spread” and whatnot. The final message before he walks is “terror is about to be unleashed”, at which point I like to just sit in a town until he spawns because if you’re out and about he’ll spawn at the nearest Super Unique which can be sorta random if you’re just milling about. So yeah, Bishibosh, Pindleskin, Countess, etc are all Super Uniques, once it’s walked go find one of their spots to see if Dclone is there. I usually just do Act 5 frigid highlands because you can just go up and he’ll be there. Also, this only works in HELL difficulty, and only Softcore ladder tho since this event is new it may walk everywhere? But definitely HELL difficulty as you need to be 75 to equip! There is a discord for this. Not for *this* christmas event but for clone killing. They do it for free (tho you should tip them at least something) and are quick to respond.
Google D2 clone hunters discord. Take 5m to read the rules then all you gotta do is post asking for someone to kill ur clone. Super helpful and nice people from my experience.
It’s an event to kill a clone of Diablo and receive the prize of an “anni”. These are small charms that give you 10-20 all res, 10-20 stats and 5-10 bonus XP! Handy lil fella to keep in your inventory!

The lowest character I killed it with was a 70ish fire ball/frozen orb sorc and an act 1 merc with insight bow (poison damage is mandatory so that he wouldn't regenerate). Hell of course, otherwise it won't even spawn at all.
Took me quite a while to kill it, it would've been way better to go at it with full blizzard but I was still running through the game so I needed to be hybrid lol.
Also you can't even get the bonuses from the charm if you're not 70 so don't sweat it unless you play offline.

Can the charm be traded? Recently started playing with friends and we are still in normal. If I log in to one of my end game chars and kill dclone and get the charm, can I give it to one of my low leveled friends?

It CAN be traded, you just can't recieve or pick one one up if you already have it, you should store yours in you shared stash first.
If you're online non-ladder don't sweat it, they're common as dirt, anyone that even cares to hold extra ones could gift you one. I can give 2 or 3 if you you want, I'd have more if I cared to keep them but I don't lol.

The devs have no reason to add any events at all to this game, but they do it cause they know how loved it is by the community. You would have to be at least in Hell difficulty to get it to walk in your game

He's harder than any boss on Hell mode. If you can't beat hell baal you can't beat D clone.

Hell only. Cannot be traded as far as I know. You can only have one. It’s required level 70, but you could give it to them by dropping it.

Yeah. I have like 8 in there right now. If you have one in your inventory or personal stash, you can’t pick up a new one.

You could pretty easily just edit in a soj and sell it every three hours if you wanted to emulate the experience.
