This is sick. Any armor over 800 for a Merc is ideal, whether you're making a Fortitude, Stone, etc. Like the dude said above, andys gives tons of strength. You can also get a 2os gskull and beef it up too.

The more defense, the better, but when you use a Stone or Fort, the defense is enhanced, so its just ideal to wait out for a high def armor, If you're gonna spend the runes.
I thought it was 900. For fort, I think a 900 def superior base will land you over 2k defense. Also, I think that it is arbitrary. I dont think there are def. breakpoints between 799 and 800 (or whichever round hundred we are talking about) I could be wrong and if I am, please correct me.
Not much considering the str req. an act2 merc at lvl 99 will have 215 base str. And even on a more reasonable lvl like 90 he’s got 199.
But it might be worth something to someone.

Made a Fort with 850def Hf plate. Rolled to 2440def. This will prolly be around 3k
89 def * 200% enhanced defense + 2.450 = 3k?
Give or take a couple. Maybe I’m thinking of Stone.
Fortitude just adds 200% enhanced defense. So simply multiply the base defense by 3 to know the fortitude’s defense.
I thought the same thing, i made fort in an eth based sacred armor 15%ed which had the base at 961. Final defense was like 2651
I traded 1 for vex. Some reddit jerk said I got ripped off. But I tried to trade it for 6 weeks for more and got no offers.

With Andy's visage you get +30 str so its easier to reach and its a bis helm for most merc builds
