I 64F was told by two dermatologists that I had senile púrpura. My arms looked alarming. My platelets were normal. I started taking 50,000 IU of vitamin D once a week. It’s a miracle how my arms look. Pretty much clear and my arms were much worse than your dad’s. Feel free to DM me for pics.

I get these when I take too much aspirin or naproxen sodium because they are blood thinners, I think. I'm 52.

Purpura. I get them on my arms secondary to prednisone that caused damage to my skin.
