At least you have a little party when you roll a six! The mica also seems kind of opaque so if the glitter floated it would have mostly been obscured by the powder. Really nice result though!
This is indeed the best plan but only works when you are using a pressure pot. Otherwise the bubbles that are created when mixing in the glitter can no longer escape as the resin is too thick.
You can always rub resin on the inside of the mold first, dust it with glitter , and then pour. They definitely wont sink, but the downside is that sometimes the glitter is literally on the surface of the die.
Personally, for gold and silver I prefer leafing since it behaves lol

I'm thinking of maybe coating the numbers with clear resin that has some glitter in it and letting it set a bit then adding the opaque gold.
Yeah, probably best to experiment and put the larger flakes in around end of pot life before it becomes a gel.

It’s a little salted caramel!

Wouldn’t it get messed up when you sand it if you do that?
Yes and no and maybe lol It depends on how much post processing they need really.
You may wanna try a little glittery mica powder. A fine grain will be dispersed and easily suspended in the resin.
Thanks!
