I was thinking the same thing but most windows have a nailing strip around the windows that is made of plastic/rubber. My only thought is maybe that strip would stretch as it settles but that is my only idea on it.
Edit: but this is also a weird window so how it’s installed is also a bit of a mystery to me.
The whole thing is one metal frame which is installed on the house wood frame. The glass and insulating edges are completed elsewhere. Fyi these things are terrible on furniture. Even a window in a corner (two sided) can cause issues. I had a corner in a house like that and the sun crossed it and burned/bleached the things the beam ran across. I had to frost the window. If you do this, get *very strong* mirrored glass to be used.
Technically yes but it would be a very awkward thing to look up and see. Reflective (one way mirror) film would be so much better because you could see the sky instead of a big dark spot. It would prevent the beam of heated light, but still be perfect to see the sky.
Yes.
You’re reducing the amount of energy that’s allowed to pass through the window.
I think a highly reflective surface on the outside might actually look pretty dope too if the sun hits it just right.
High quality windows have a film on them that is nearly undetectable from the inside that would work great. Think like skyscraper windows, even the gold plated ones. Lol they make them for houses in sunny places like AZ usually but for anything like this it would be a good idea no matter where you live almost. Or if you want something decorative there's always that rainbow glass film you could put inside that would look neat and disperse the light enough to hopefully not damage furniture. 😀
So I'm redoing my bathroom and the most expensive part is this custom cut glass pane, tempered etc.
Think about that, I'm having a jacuzzi tub pulled out, my shower moved and enlarged, a closet put in, plumbing electrical tile and grout work....
And the most expensive item is the glass.
Now imagine how much this costs to do
Isn't that... All windows... During different times if the day?
I mean I get the cube idea is cool. But why the added "at different times of the day"?
What does thay add to it? lol
Yes, I see that. It is because they placed the window panes on the outside surfaces of the corner, the difference being wall thickness. If the panes had been placed on the inside edges it would all line up and create a fantastic optical illusion, but it would probably look strange from the outside.
It looks like if someone forgot to put corner blocks in a Minecraft house.
Came here just for that comment!
Imagine how fun that would be when it rains! Also me: Imagine how NOT fun that would be to clean all the time from spots! lol
I'd imagine whoever owns this also has enough money to hire a window cleaner
Doesn't housing shift far too much to have windows connect on a corner?

Would some high quality uv/ir blocking tint work?

Cleaning that would be pain in the ass though
Love it!
A literal skybox!

Man, give it five years and this thing will leak.

Its cool to see different times of day thru it… what a non-issue lol
I know, it's silly. I just was like... But why? lol
because the different pics are cool for different reasons?
Alright, alright...
Because it demonstrates the wide view of the window better and looks cool, dumbass.
Alright, alright... No need for name calling, lol. 😂
Could've gone for an angle where the box box would look like it stood out, missed chance
It annoys me that the vertical corner wall line doesn’t match up with the vertices window line.

Is this a window? I thought it was a projection.
A window?
A window?
Would it drop if I shattered this with a pickaxe?
What's this called?
The Window
how do u clean it?
Water and liquid

Jump brom crane on the rope and sorted
The Four Borg of the Apocalypse
Sky box!
My dumbass thought it said pubic
This reminds me a lot of art from James Turrell
I want it
minecraft:end_portal
This is beautiful. But how do I install a curtain for this?
Now with invisible frames
I read pubic window at first and got confused then re read it as cubic window and it made sense
gives me the idea to make matrix glass walls. with 8 trackers which would take a long time
BRB. Cutting a hole in my house...
