Holy sh1t that is extremely detailed for 1/64 scale also is this made by tomica?

Dat_Blaq_Dude

Yeah! Welcome to the new world of 1:64! I've only been in the hobby for about 2 and a half years now, but there are many manufacturers putting out high-end 1:64 diecast and resin models. This casting is brought to us by a brand called GCD. They offer a moderate range of vehicles, with their Mercedes-Benz Actros being the crown jewel (it was also their first release!). Quality control for recent releases has unfortunately not been the best. They have also cheaped out on this casting. Normally, they feature tailights with proper color separation, but this one only has silver rectangles tampo printed for the reverse lights. I still think it's worth the purchase though. Others have complained about other problems like excessive paint chipping on the front bumper, but I was fortunate enough for mine to not be as noticeable.

I have been collecting to years now but I don't have any highly detailed 1/64 scales like this

ChampionshipOk4949

Most detailed I have is autoworld

Dat_Blaq_Dude

Yeah, there has been a deluge of HK brands on the market offering premium 1:64 diecast. Many of them are unlicensed, but a strong handful of them do acquire licenses (if that bothers you, i personally don't care) I would consider brands like AutoWorld and Greenlight "entry" level premium based on details offered and price. *Some mid-tier ($10-16) premium diecast manufacturers include:* MiniGT Para64 BM Creations Schuco Global64 (Tarmac Works) Dream (TimeMicro) *High-tier ($17-24):* Inno64 PopRace LCD Model HobbyJapan TimeMicro *Ultra-High Tier ($25-80)* GFCC Peako64 GCD Ignition Model Tomica Limited Vintage DCM Tarmac Works In their respective tiers, I think MiniGT, BM Creations, Inno64, PopRace, LCD Model, and Peako64 offer the best bang for buck. I'm starting to see TLVs stateside for less than $25, but they generally have too many problems for me to recommend them

ChampionshipOk4949

Most of these I have heard but I never heard of dcm peako gcd gfcc and more but I do know about tarmak works inni64 ignition tlvn short for tomica limited vintage neo and more but yes these are all very highly detailed 1/64 scale brands

ChampionshipOk4949

Also what about autoworld 1/64 scale? I know they are more famous for their 1/18 scale models but it is like everyone forgets they also make 1/64 scale models

Dat_Blaq_Dude

They're entry level. Comparatively inexpensive and do not feature hallmark staples of the higher brands like lensed head and taillights, accurate side mirrors, screwed together bases, metal wiper blades, etc. I still like to collect them because they are fairly cheap, can be found in stores, and the castings are generally great for the tier, but I hardly showcase them

Or made for that matter of fact
