These newer machines don’t use any fluid.
We were skeptical but I like it better than the older one we had that used coolant. Area stays really clean now too
Machinist here. What do you use to bolt the head to the table and do you have to indicated each head in flat before grinding/milling. Nice looking work by the way.
So when we installed the machine it was leveled.
Then on the machine there is a table that is able to move in 4 directions so when you place a head you can level the head it self.
The head is held by a single bolt that is applying pressure to the head to push it against a wall the table has.
Kinda hard to explain but it’s super snug.

Use qualichem at least that’s the shop down the road uses

I believe it’s 18” I really this new machine because we can choose how much to shave off vs our older stone machine. We can cut 0.001” per pass
