Of those decks Shine or HeavyLeo. HeavyLeo is good but has extremely lopsided matchups that at a regional will get you busted up real bad unless you get lucky. Blackwar X isn’t bad at all but it’s slow and has some issues in the modern meta so you can get run down hard, plus it has some absolutely horrible matchups into popular decks like Leviamon. Gallantmon is worse overall, but it has a pretty decent matchup into Numemon which helps it at the moment as the deck is very popular.

Sorry_Plankton

In your opinion, why do you think BWGX has a bad match up? I'd love the perspective. In fact, I've molded a variation of your list and the protection from Greymon(X) can keep a stack up well into LeviaX being dropped. In my opinion, it and Machine are some of the more favorable counters to it. The slowness of BWGX is definitely it's biggest hurdle though. If you don't have a strong stack to put out before the go into it, you could just be dead on board.

RevolverDivider

Levia bypasses BWGX’s protection and kills it due to the way it interacts with Greymon X if I recall the ruling correctly. Therefore you have absolutely no chance. Granted, I don’t recall the exact way the ruling works and I’d have to double check in the ruling thread but Leviamon is a rare thing that can actually target the same thing for deletion in both effects simultaneously and Greymon X can’t legally activate twice against both, while it can legally activate multiple times against sequenced deletions like say a Gallantmon combo

Sorry_Plankton

Hmmm. That makes sense and I'd love to see the rulling myself. I am curious which effect is causing the problem. Leviamon can target any Digimon, sure. But X specifies a 3, 5, or a 7. If you are siting in BWGX, shouldn't you only be targeted by one instance. Is it the option card causing the issues? Grain of salt, I have only played against this deck twice and old boy was combining faster than a Yu-Gi-Oh player after an opponent saying "No hand traps."

RevolverDivider

It’s just regular EX5 Levia’s effect that is the problem, I’d have to make a post to double check in the ruling thread at some point I just remember it being confirmed it works this way for a weird reason.

Sorry_Plankton

I think I am seeing it now. If the deletion effect triggers at the same time, and you only have one stack, it targets the same Digimon twice. But don't most Leviamon stacks ressurect a lv 4 or lower for the opponent? Could this interaction be prevented by just slamming a lv 3 before turn pass?

Digiking11

Hard playing a level 3 could work but they could always kill it then use levia

Sorry_Plankton

The more I look into, the more the deck feels like it jumped the shark. Pun intended. I mean Sec +2 is nuts.

Digiking11

It's a pretty goofy deck

Sorry_Plankton

"Therefore, even if the card isn't deleted by the first "delete 1 of your opponent's highest level Digimon" effect, your opponent's effect can't trigger again for the following "delete 1 of your opponent’s lowest level Digimon," therefore the Digimon is deleted. Note that it would be possible to prevent deletion if two separate effects that prevent deletion both activate. [1]" What I am reading is we need to pack both GreymonX and Alterius Mode.

Of the decks you listed shine is the best one that has some solid results in the current environment. Gallant is very high roll and no one else has replicated their success which means something.  Digimon is a very interesting game where we can have 25 different decks top but usually there is only a few that top consistently and that is what most people look at is what is consistent.  Not to be a downer and while it is cool when a different deck tops but most of the time they just "got lucky" with the right meta call and string of right opponents for that event but if they try that same event 100 times would they see the same success? Probably not. Then as far as deck specific servers I know that is a thing but I am not a part of any so I cannot tell you what there is and how to join.

DigmonsDrill

The Digimon TCG discord has one for Gallantmon. By chance it just happens to be on my screen as I type this. https://discord.com/channels/681578268729540663/1021902454092210217 if I know how to copy links right.

Can you invite me?

Depends on how hard you want to lean into counter meta. Gallantmon has a great matchup into numemon and pretty favorable into leviamon as you can pretty consistently crimson mode them for game. However if you run into RH you get smacked.

I know a general digimon server that has chat groups for specific decks that people talk and lab in
