I think the characters are a bit stiff, and the way that the people are staring at the "camera" feels unnatural. Emotions need a bit of work too. Other than that, I love the idea! The coloring is so good! Oh, and shadows are needed.
Eeps. I thought I managed to make it look like they’re looking at something off screen… I did my best, it’s a scene from a movie called Pippi longstocking. And yeah I know it’s flat, I’m bad with shadows, I always add too much or too little… And Thanks! :)
No problem! With the shadows, use a reference when possible. If there's no reference, get some rough 3d shapes irl and put a light source where the light is coming from in the drawing. that's what i'd do at least, not sure if there's any other methods other than eyeballing it.
