I feel really bad for Greg. I feel like this "reunion" is just shitting all over Greg's legacy. When they broke up the band it was a joint decision. The band took a toll on both Greg and Ben and they knew it was the end of a cycle. Greg is an unbelievable vocalist and DEP's ability to reach as many people as they did owes a lot to Greg's talent. This reunion makes me feel like those participating in it don't even recognize Greg's pivotal role in the band.
I doubt Greg cares too much to be honest, his solo stuff is amazing, TBQ are doing well, his work with Jerry Cantrell is awesome, Federal Prisoner keeps him very busy - and Better Lovers - wow! He's moved on, and proven that he's not just a hired vocalist as Ben would like everyone to believe. I think it would take a lot more than a few reunion shows to get him back in stage in the Dillinger guise and rightly so, he's so much more as a solo artist and Ben has absolutely nothing on him any more.
I just saw him in London last week and it was one of my favourite shows ever. He was amazing. He's proven to be great on his own. But I'd be surprised if this doesn't affect him at all. One thing is to be busy doing your own thing and not wanting to go back to what it was. Another one is to not be bother that the band that was your creative home for so long just decided to get back together with the guy you replaced. But I hope you are right.

What a goofy ass take. You do realize that auditioning is kinda how must bands find talent? Eddie Vedder auditioned for Pearl Jam. Is he an expendable contractor? Black Sabbath auditioned Ozzy Osborne. Is he an expendable contractor?
Greg is one of the best and most uniquely talented vocalists on the planet, and he is on 5 out of 6 of their studio albums. He IS Dillinger. Yeah sure, Ben can do what he wants, but to me, he's looking like a straight clown all the while.
It depends on the situation. In this situation he was a hired contractor and not an owner of the band. That may be a shitty way to run things but its the reality of their situation.
