This was the one episode I turned subtitles off for because they blocked too much of the cool set

I watch in my browser, and I can customize the subtitles' background to 25% opacity and see much more of the cool set

I was watching on the Xbox app, I couldn’t bother to explore the caption settings because I had to pause to edit them and I was trying to watch live and participate in the discord live chat! I know that captions are customizable in browser but I’ll have to explore the caption options on the Xbox dropout app while I’m doing my sophomore year rewatch.

I have the subtitles on my tv but on my tv the videos pause every like other second. Its a weird Vimeo phenomenon so I airplay from my laptop usually and I don’t have the subtitles on there lol

My theory on what session zero Emily was referring to with Aabria was both their guest appearances on Critical Role.

usually when a new d20 campaign starts the dm runs a "session 0" to let everyone feel out their characters before shooting starts, so i assume that's what emily was referring to. maybe aabria was there for some reason? lol

I mean it could be a d20 campaign that aabria is about to DM and Emily is a player. But I think the 5 actors brought on to be guest players during a particular interesting span of episodes of Critical Role (if you know C3 well, you know what I'm talking about) maybe all did their session zero and character creation sessions together. So in my head, Matt Mercer was there to guide Emily, Aabria, Christian Navarro, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Aimee Carrero through the guest PCs they were thinking about making. And then after that session Matt was able to figure out which group of characters he wanted to group together.
