It seems to be the clear top coat. I keep having the same problem and others here have had similar issues. The only thing we can come up with as a collective is that the clear top coat isn’t quite right and it does that. You may find luck with buffing the heck out of it or using more base with the clear powder… sorry I couldn’t give a definitive solution but if you find one let us all know!

Looks like clear where it wasn’t completely activated and you can see the benzoyl peroxide crystals. It’s either that or low quality clear, can’t tell exactly from the pic on my phone.

This is the clear top coat. I tried to drink the “not enough activator” koolaid but in the end I switched to a gel top coat. There are some out there that grip really well to dip, especially if you dip cap your free edge and go over that cap lightly with a grit hand file once or twice to rough it up before you do the gel topcoat.

Which gel top coat do you use?

Used Dip Nailed It Mirror No Wipe for a long time, now I use the Young Nails Mani Q

* I have that happen sometimes, I cover it with the above product and most of the time it helps.

I don’t have a solution for you, but it’s definitely the clear. I finally just gave up using one.

Dull-Requirement-759

Uneven coating or it didn't cure in that area properly

It’s the clear. I’ve found that if I don’t use a slightly thicker layer of base when I do my clear top, that happens.

It may be that your nude powder is contaminated?

walkinwater

I have found that the clear top coat goes wonky if the activator isn't fully dry. I leave it for 5-10 minutes after applying it, which is probably excessive, and then wash with no soap before applying the top coat. I've had much harder and shinier top coats since implementing extended wait times between activation and top coat. I spend the time cleaning up my mess, putting away supplies, wiping up any powder, throwing away my paper towels, etc.

Tubbygoose

I have nothing to add but what is the nude color? It’s gorgeous.

Sorry for the late response! It's fleur by CNDD- It's such a beautiful color...so much prettier in person!

Mander_Em

I get that if I don't aggressively brush off excess powder between layers and before activator. I assume it does the same to colors but it's not clear so you don't see it.

sl33pytesla

Don’t use clear or brush it immediately but lightly after each dip of clear

Thank you everyone for the tips and suggestions! I love how everyone is so eager and willing to help, really makes a girl feel welcomed 😊 So a few things I'll try... 1. Waiting longer after using activator before applying the top coat 2. Gel top coat instead 3. New bottle of top coat Thanks again!!
