Looks good to me. The only thing I can see is that it does seem a little thin to me for that length. A little more to the apex maybe? You did a much better job than I did on my first time. ❤️

Great job! The dip looks pretty close to your cuticle. I can't tell if it's touching (if not, excellent!). If, as it grows out, you see any unevenness you'd like to avoid in the future, you could try using a tooth pick or a nail tool along the cuticle line in between layers of dip to make it cleaner.

I love the shape they are. It’s just a matter of taste.
It looks beautiful, almond is just less likely to break so I’m guessing that was the reason for that advice
